i've had a Samsung for over 2 years now. I still don't understand what Bixby actually does. All I know is that it needs updates sometimes and that whenever I launch it I immediately wish to terminate it. 💀
Can you delete your Bixby account? The best strategy is to never sign up/ register/ whatever. But AI will probably sign you up when you aren't looking...

its just competing with the Aura ring, which is exactly the same price, but the aura has a required subscription which is why Samsung thinks they will win out the same market. The price will definitely end up coming down.

Remember when Siri was a thing? I really don't know anyone who uses these assistants that much to base their purchasing decision on overhyped assistants. AI is another tech bubble like Blockchain (whatever happened to that?)
@@housepianist I specifically ask for expandable storage and a battery capacity of 5000 mAh. That usually narrows the options down to two phones, neither of which Samsung or Apple.
@@MaiAoleithe people who really need that are few. I have a phone with 512gb, it's more than enough for me. Most of the time I have network access, so even if I were to run out of space, which is very unlikely, I could just dump the junk onto my home NAS. So the only real reason to need a card is when you're off-grid and need lots of space, and what that would be for? Pics and videos? An external SSD will solve that issue.
@@housepianist Thats not the point , some people do , and the whole point of buying a flagship phone is the convenience of having all the features , like a headphone jack , SD card , led notification light , ir blaster , accessories in the box ...... none of which samsung supply anymore ...... because it is all about profit these days , they dont give a shit about convenience , it is just profit , other companies the same , but samsungs early days having all the bells and whistles made samsung phones the ones to have , today ..... not so much ..
I've owned Samsung cell phones for many years. Purchased a Fold 4 and it lasted for a year before the screen delaminated and failed. A $1500 phone should last more than a year. I doubt that I'll ever own another Samsung cell phone.

@@baddest_dave Idk, he seems to have a point. Apples kind of on the same boat alongside quite a few Lenovo lineups and asus lineups. Come to think of it, there isn't really much that most new technology has done that couldn't be done on something made 4 or 5 years ago. When it comes to computers I think the most interesting thing to me would be the framework laptop. And that one is an advancement that we should have had decades ago.
I wouldn't say so. I've had all kinds of phones, from cheap Chinese ones to Apple, HTC, Sony, LG, and SGS. I've had sgs7, 8, note 10, now using SGS22. I can say that SGS generally have longer useful life than most other phones I've had, they tend to get SW updates for longer, and these updates don't make them unusable. The only gripe is the Knox thing that prevents you from rooting if you don't want to void your warranty. Then again, nowadays one rarely needs root for most use cases.
otoh, do you really need sleep analysis? And how reliable is it, as opposed to guesswork? Most watches can do it, I bet the apple watch can do it too (though I find the idea of wearing a watch on bed uncomfortable). It's a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. The real way to get good sleep is to go to bed at a reasonable time. There's a nursery rhyme for that, and it's free.

The last wrist watch i've bought had a battery life of 6+ years. Well, now that i think about it, the phone we had back when i was a child didn't need charging either. I think i get one of these again.
I have been buying last year's Samsung Ultra phone every second year but now I'm thinking of just keeping the one I have until it breaks. It's getting too expensive and you really don't get anything extra anymore.

That's it. Mobile phone technology has hit a brick wall. VR has failed. AI isn't changing the world. What's the next new shiny thing to sustain the Samsungs and Apples for the next 2 or 3 decades?
AR smart glasses are the next true innovation, and no, I'm not talking about vr headsets like the quest 3 or Apple vision. I'm talking about glasses with interactive displays, and again it's going to vastly different from Google Glass from over 10 years ago. I'm talking glasses powered by these absolutely insane chips in today's phones.
