Hey people don't waste your time on this crappy website it won't help you. True initiatives are not brought by the salary of ones parents to afford sat classes, but the sense of productivity and motivation in the student themselves. in other words, WORK HARD; don't waste your money on things that you can achieve for yourself.

"no such thing as a bad tester" True. Unless you are unbelievably dumb, have anxiety problems or ADHD, you have no excuse but to get a decent test score e.g. ACT 26/27 if you live in middle America, if you prep decently. But with that said, there are good test takers. Some are just good at condensing large amounts of information within 2 or 3 hours and accurately choosing the right answers with minimum prep. Those are the gifted. Some are just smart. The rest? Prep, prep and prep. One of my brother's friends is a good test taker, she even admits it, and entered Columbia Law. The top 10 students in my class all scored at least a 29 on their ACT. The scores ranged from 29 - 33. I don't believe anyone scored a above a 33. The class valedictorian scored a 31, the salut scored a 33. This set of students is just smart. Academics and test taking were just another thing they did like eating, peeing, drinking and sleeping. Of course, the valedictorian is now a medical intern at Johns Hopkins and the salut did undergraduate at an institution that specializes in engineering. An acquaintance of mine, whom academics came naturally, graduated top 1% at our state's flagship university, entered law school and now works at private law firm in a major city. My brother's professional success should also be told. He scored a very mediocre 24 (after some prep, but I believe the quality of the software that was used was rather poor despite him working diligently) three times. He majored in finance at our state flagship, a target school for The Big 4, was interviewed and managed to gain a position. He doesn't have an MBA but he makes what a newly minted MBA holder would. I believe he's four years away from making partner at his firm.

I took the SAT in 7th grade without doing much studying. I don't know what I got, but I did pretty well compared to my age group. It was pretty tough, since I hadn't learned much of the math yet, but yeah, if you're a good test-taker, know the vocabulary (or are good with analyzing context clues), and have a basic understanding of Algebra I-level math, you should be fine. Also, don't use Adderall or Vyvanse as a study aid, there's a reason it's only available by prescription.

selling his book or not, this man speaks the truth. my son is finished with his testing. he took the s.a.t. twice. he took it "cold" and got a 690 in math. studied with a couple of the popular s.a.t. math books and got a 770. took level 2 math later on and got an 800. once again, not with this gentleman's book but with others. listen to the message. buy or do not buy the book. i don't care.
