My 11 yr old son was having a very hard time in due to pdd autism that we couldnt get diagnosed until he was 21! And we tried hard, going to as many experts as we could find. We adopted him at 2 so no one gave us any advice or help back then. And my then 4 yr. Old son quit his nursery school! He said if his brother was going to be home so was he! I am actually from a Third World Country and our schools here are expensive and bad. In English class I learnt almost nothing, just memorising words I will never use or know, but on social media I learnt English without the help of a teacher. I probably forgot more than I learned in Class. The only reason I’m still going to school is to get a diploma and a job, but if I could I would leave. Mental issues are also misunderstood, and I have to hide my emotions to not get yelled at for frowning. They say, “Stop being sad” and hit me if I don’t hide my emotions. The only redeeming feature of school is friends which are the reason i’m still going on. I hope one day my descendants don’t have to suffer through this.

I once spoke to a very wise homeless person who was living rough on the streets. He seemed to know so much more about the world than I did. He went to a pretty average school in the 80's and I am going to a modern private school. You'd think I'd be much smarter than him... I may know, from school, that plants make oxygen with chlorophyll in leaves out of carbon dioxide, and I may know my 1-12 times tables, but I didn't know how I should act and live and perceive this world. When I met this person, it was a turning point in my life. I learnt that school isn't everything. That work isn't everything. I need to live! This wise, yet poorly educated, homeless person taught me that, and u shall be forever grateful to this man.

What he said about the tests is right. You pretty much forget what you learn in about 3 days. The reason you don't remember anything is because you constantly need to re-read what you learned in order to memorize it completely (store the information in long term memory). Likes and dislikes certanly do make a difference, big one, in fact.

Actually, some schools are even built like prisons. I think it's that way because it's cheap for things like ventilation and optimizing space etc. But they really care so little as to lazily build a prison-like building to send children to.

I learned English from RU-vid, Unturned ( A game based on community, where I made tons of friends who helped me learn English ) and from one of my friends who didn't go to school. That didn't mean he didn't know English or math or science or many other things. His dad taught him the most valuable lesson and not things that will be forgotten in 1 week.

I suffer from insomnia, I can't sleep more than 5hours. This made me ''slow'', so I failed all my tests. My parents were worried and I had to visit a Phsicologist almost every day. My classmates found out about it, so I had no friends at all. That made me feel stupid and soon I got depressed. Now i'm okay, but my depression was pretty serious. Hard to think that tests could have such an impact on us

Oh my holy jeebus. There are teachers like that?! My best teacher is my tech one. He explains everything so well, and he just makes jokes all the time. It’s one of my favourite classes, along with all the ones that the teachers just don’t have any control over the class (it’s fun sitting at the back and watching the drama unfold at the front.) Anyway, I wish that tech teacher was a permanent one. We swap tech classes every term. (After the holidays I’m going with the cooking tech teacher. That should be a barrel of laughs.) xXMossTheBossXx you know what is hell I have 100 marks maths exam on Wednesday and 70 marks physics exam on Thursday and 70 marks IP exam on Friday + I have chemistry exam of 1 chp on Monday and IP exam of 2 chap on Monday and again 2chp exam of IP on Tuesday and 4 chp exam of IP Wednesday I live in India I study in 12th class I have 10 days of holiday from 13th October to 22 but I have to attend extra class of maths physics chemistry each 2 hours and then from 23rd October I have half yearly exams and then in November my preboard exams and I'm gonna turn 17 on 20th October and I'm gonna die pray for me and I'm not exaggerating it's true 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭my school is a hell
@@gomatisao9699 quit school, it just makes your life worse and you get nothing from it. It is time to relax from all that shit they are trying to make you learn. Find peace. A good psychology channel i know is psych2go and even princeEA is actually really good too. Wish you the best.
gomatio sao dude school sucks. But while I agree with prince ea that schools have a lot of improving to do, there are still I believe things that you can learn from it. If you already know what you want to do in your life, then by all means, quit school and pursue your dream. But if you are unsure about your career choices and what not I would advise you to grind through and wait til college where you can pursue learning about something u love.
School teaches you to educate yourself. You wouldnt have been able to read anything if it wasnt for your parents or school for teaching you how to do it. Someone who only focuses on school obviously misses up on a lot. Someone who only focuses on the internet also obviously misses up on a lot. Youre also taught critical thinking in school which again helps you educate yourself.
People pay 60$ for a teacher to teach them english ( i don't live in an english speaking country) while i from watching RU-vid learn more then them and have a great time
