I considered playing Serbia. Then I looked at their map colour. Having recently played as Swizerland, Brandenburg and Brunswick I felt like I had enough of colouring with crap. Why are there so many brown nations in Europe?!
i remember once in an austria game of mine, i was allied with the commonwealth (it was 1600) and they managed to get 35k men trapped on corfu and then the ottoman fleet m o v e d the absolite genius of the ai
Little sad story: I was doing a Serbia run to get the achievement. I pushed the Ottomans out of the Balkans, I got everything under the Danube, I even started expanding in Southern Italy. Then I allied the Poles and attacked Austria with them. Guess who didn't show up to help fighting? In short, the Austrians demolished me
One thing I don't get is why the Serbians don't get permanent core on their old empire which was a thing just 73 years before start of EU4. Because Byzantine has core on provinces that were not part of theirs for longer
Serbia was my first world conquest; I did some weird shenanigans and got a PU over Aragon at some point fairly early then had all of Spain and Italy and rolled from there with a fat Muscovy/Russian ally. It was like 3-4 years ago, super fun. Best part about that playthrough I remember was that Ottomans and Mamluks/QQ beat each other to death for like 150 years and then a Final Form Ethiopia appeared with glowing red eyes and finished them both off.
@@coutinihoho7927 Of course I do, all of them live in Croatia where I'm from, luckily all of them don't support either of war crimes of Ethnic Cleanser II
if ur in 2 wars and all ur land is taken by one nation and you took all the land of the other nation can you give away all ur land in the first war to the enemy and then take all the land in the other war being that u dont have land anymore? or does it end the game? i was wondering if u can just instantly move somewhere else that might normally be out of range... cos if ud already given all ur land to say ottomans as serbia it couldnt say ur not close enough to ur capital cos u dont have one anymore?
17:10 in my first war with otto i usually take only one province of bulgaria &/or one of byzantium so i can reconquest as many provinces as possible in the next war.. id take other provinces for myself in this war that arent cores of those... but hey im not a great player so i dont know if thats good
that is just way more efficent, yeah. The only situation I might take more is if I would take an extra province to remove an annoying fort from the enemy
6:50 No, the reason you can't take the rest is because you have 0 coastal cores. Without a coastal core, your coring range for unconnected provinces is as good as 0, even though you can take the bordering coastal provinces from this same war. It has nothing to do with blockades. If you want to test this, just go Serbia in normal game, do winwars and get the same borders, declare on venice, see how much you can annex, and then during that war integrate ragusa via command(gives you the coastal core), see how much you can annex then.
Thing is, to survive you'd pretty much have to expand into eachother or get very lucky with wars and alliances. Try serbia into western balkan and walachia into romania. Still hard af but coexistence is more possible
"i should slow down the speed" continues to play at 5 speed. Lmao I think for your own gameplay at least for the early game playing at 4 speed or 3 speed even is good so you can react in wars in time for them moving their armies.
btw im playing maya right now (well itza cos i cant form maya cos the game hates us) - id say playing as maya is harder than north american natives.. i find it weird how theyve made north american natives hugely powerful now and they all expand to large empires & immediately attack any colonies and they kept mayan / aztec /inca nations the same so now they are all really annoying, tough to do well in... you keep getting horrible events like influenza & -20% morale of armies etc... you cant reform as eay as north american tribes, nor can you get institutions as easy.. as cherokee i literally just had to take a government reform... maya i cant even have any gov reforms until institutions take forever to spawn.. surely the devs need to change this oversight... theyve made the game ridiculously unbalanced... when i played cherokee.. i had 3000 spare gov reform progress when i finally changed to monarchy due to buildings... meaning i could hugely increase my government capacity.. why is maya still so weak??? or a better question is why are north american tribes so OP?
@@2ndmod Sounds like a guy's voice. That said you can actually call girls -kun and guys -chan and it's fine. (My underlying assumption is that anyone working for Laith is a weeb. He's made comments alluding to as much).
the vassal interactions for military stuff are useless, the only one that is kinda working is the siege one. If you want your vassals armies to attach to yours, just select your own armies and click the "allow friendly armies to attach"-thingy.
it feels a little strange in the moments with editor putting text over Laith's head while he is still talking but we can't hear it so he just looks like a puppet
I once tried allying Austria, Hungary, Poland and Bohemia as Serbia, but their rivalries complicated everything so much that I decided to just improve relations with Ottomans to delay the war, ended up allying the Ottomans and fighting the rest
you should try to play as huns in 58 ad its fun cause you can invade other people freely and not get a collation and coreing is bit faster i recomend playing as huns and i have a 5 miltiary family so good use on battle ground and even defeated romans lol Huns are op has hell you should try it
I played it just a while ago and I conquered all of bosnia, Herzegovina, Dalmatia, Croatia, Istria and a lot of land from Hungary. Then i died because the ottomans are fucking bullshit and my polish ally abandoned me because their ruler was malevolent 🙃
