Amen, it is something beautiful to do, but not a sin if you don't. I did it, and it was a wonderful experience

The question is not to be baptized or not to be baptized. The question your answering is “should I be baptized twice” To answer if someone should be baptized twice I would say no, Paul does not suggest there are two baptisms today only one.

Baptism does not save the person being baptised, but it does spread salvation to many others. The sooner one gets baptised after being saved, the more effective they will be as a witness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The act of baptism is the most effective witness of Jesus a new believer can give.

Everything? At all times? So if you sin you’ll go and sacrifice the lamb? If you have a sickness you’ll quarantine and then see the priest when it’s been 7 days? We need to follow what Jesus commands today which was revealed to us in Paul’s letters

@@deanfry879 read the full context before that verse. This is speaking about adults who are NEW CHRISTIANS. Spiritual babys, NOT physical babys. Those non-baby people are what CHRIST in Matthew 18:3 describes as "converted and become as little children ". Meaning SPIRITUALLY new born, "born again", like CHRIST mentioned in John 3:3. In Peter it says "LIKE newborn babes", not "ARE newborn babes". Do you see the difference? Are you " born again"? Christ says we will NEVER see the Kingdom of God unless we are.

@@JoinUsInVR Wow. Are you so easily upset over a short comment that you are eager to question my salvation when there is no evidence to do so? Maybe I should have referenced the babies talked about in Hebrews 5:11-14. Jesus Christ is Lord and risen from the dead.

@@deanfry879 I wasn't questioning your salvation. I made no assumption and was directly asking If you are saved. And, I wasn't upset, I was just replying. Your initial reference was to a verse about spiritual babies, in a discussion about physical babies. You implied the Bible supports infant baptism, but I only seen biblical statements to the contrary. Can you clarify your initial point? Or better yet, let's text and talk directly. I'm easy to find, and always open to talk.

One Baptism and it's not water.💧💦🌊 "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." -Acts 2:21 KJV "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." -Acts 2:38-39 KJV The baptism in Acts 2 is according to a promise to Abraham and a spiritual baptism into the name of Jesus who is Christ by the gospel, not a water baptism, hence, "whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." All water baptisms of the N.T. were only done out of tradition and never gave the Spirit. Peter and Paul taught the very same things to all Nations according to all the prophets before them. The word "Whosoever" in Acts 2 is all nations according to the promise given to Abraham. "And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed." -Galatians 3:8 KJV Hence, the gospel goes to both Jews and Gentiles. First to the Jews on Pentecost that all nations are accepted but all nations must now believe Jesus is Christ hence the spiritual baptism into the name of Jesus. That's why whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Peter preached, "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." -Acts 2:21 KJV Paul preached, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." -Romans 10:13 KJV Of course, you cant call upon the name of the Lord unless you first believe Jesus is the Christ. But the new baptism of the N.T. is not only into the name of Jesus but by the Spirit of Jesus as John had foretold Jesus would baptize us and there is only One baptism as Paul has said and when we believe Jesus is the Christ and have faith in His blood believing that He died for our sins and was buried and rose from the grave according to the scriptures we are baptized with and by the Spirit of Christ Jesus and born again, no water necessary nor recommended on account of that some had believed water baptism was necessary for salvation as well as circumcision which would make salvation by works and not grace, therefore, causing the cross of Christ Jesus to become of no effect to the person because works cancel out grace and that is why Paul said, "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." -1 Corinthians 1:17-18 KJV In Acts 2 Peter pointed to David who also spoke of Christ's resurrection. So the O.T. saints looked forward to the DBR of Christ and His imputed righteousness. Even Paul said the O.T saints believed that, "Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead," but the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed was a mystery because they were forbidden to go to the Gentiles even to eat with them but the saying, "In thee shall all nations be blessed" turned out to be the dispensation of grace to the Gentiles being accepted into the house of God by the gospel and revealed by the Spirit according to the scriptures as foretold by the O.T prophets though it was veiled. Paul said that he preached none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come, "Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: 23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles." -Acts 26:22-23 KJV But the eyes of many Jews were blinded to the gospel and the nation of Israel crucified Him because they didn't believe Jesus was Christ. This is why Peter told them to repent, to change their minds from not believing Jesus was Christ to believing Jesus was Christ. They already believed that Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead but didn't believe Jesus was Christ and this is why Paul first preached to the Jews that Jesus was Christ and why both Paul and Peter preached whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Paul was converted "And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God." -Acts 9:20 KJV "And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ. 6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles." -Acts 18:5-6 KJV Now the N.T. saints must believe Jesus is the Christ having faith in His blood through His DBR, death, burial, and resurrection, and when they do hear and believe the gospel they or we also receive the imputed righteousness of Christ as well by being baptized with His Spirit and by His Spirit for believing the gospel of Jesus Christ. So Both Peter and Paul preached according to all the prophets and Moses before them which means "according to the scriptures" even the DBR of Christ, which was also shown by the baptism of John. Here below we see the spiritual N.T. baptism of the Gentile Cornelius by the Spirit of Jesus as Peter preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ to him. "That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: 40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; 41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. 42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead." -Acts 10:37-42 KJV Immediately after Peter shares the DBR of Jesus Christ in Acts 10:37-42 above Peter said, "To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word." -Acts 10:43-44 KJV So they heard and believed the gospel and were sealed with the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ by Jesus Christ which is our One Baptism of the N.T. and it is by the Spirit of Jesus and into the name of Jesus, no other name can save but the name of the Lord Jesus Christ our God and savior who manifest in the flesh. "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." -Ephesians 4:4-6 KJV "In whom ye also TRUSTED, after that ye HEARD THE WORD OF TRUTH, the GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION: in whom also after that YE BELIEVED, ye were SEALED with that holy Spirit of promise," -Ephesians 1:13 KJV "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which BELIEVE NOT, lest THE LIGHT of the glorious GOSPEL OF CHRIST, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." -2 Corinthians 4:3-4 KJV

Peter and Paul did not preach the same thing, otherwise there would have been no reason for Paul to tell Peter what he preached.
@deanfry879

@@BrockJamesStory Peter was preaching to people who knew the Law of Moses, and Paul was preaching to people who did not. The only real difference is the starting point, and not requiring everything of the Gentiles that appeared to be required of the Jewish believers. Peter, James, John, and the other leaders agreed with Paul and Barnabas it is the same gospel. The account shows Paul's humbleness under God and Jesus.

Corrections. 1) There is no such thing as "water batism" because there is only one baptism, and the biblical definition of baptism per Christ is water and spirit together. 2) Baptism saves. This is not as a human work, but rather is a divine work by God which is made valid by Christ's own authority.

Actually baptism just means to be identified with. So you can be baptized with water, or you can be baptized with the Spirit, or you could be baptized with grape soda.
