it's not surprising... if you compare the S&P 600 with the S&P 500 equal weight, there is not too much of a difference in YTD performance. Further, if you take the S&P 500 and remove the mag 7 names they are virtually identical.
I'll stick with the big caps, but you can switch to the unprofitable small caps. I dig through the small caps topic interviews. Can you be more specific? The answers are sometimes too far-fetched and vague
