We absolutely love that area, we vacation there every year and we rent out the same house near stump pass. We walked the Long Beach and we were literally by ourselves for the evening. It’s very quiet and absolutely beautiful. We are considering moving there in the near future
Hi! Just started watching your videos. Love them! One talked about red tide issues. Is that only for Sarasota? How often/bad is it? Could be a deal breaker for me when deciding west or east coast Florida. Thanks so much!
I live in Clearwater and red tide effects the entire area. It’s not a big deal. It usually only last a couple weeks a year. Just don’t go to the beach during that period. I’ve been told it can give people respiratory problems if you live right on the water but I think that’s if you already have compromised lungs. I lived on the gulf coast for 5 years and never met anyone that has any problems with it. It’s definitely not a deal breaker. I love the gulf side. Probably moving down to the Venice area from Clearwater next year.
