😊 Hey guys! We created the Tech Wheels channel to give viewers a broad overview of the upcoming new cars from the top car manufacturers. We are huge fans of pickup trucks of all sizes: compact, mid-size and full-size trucks. We all get it, you don't accept that climate change is real. That's your choice. So, tell us; what will you do when your insurance carrier cancels your home policy and the next Cat 5 storm hits your neighbourhood and flattens or floods the place. We have now seen the first Category Five hurricane in history to form in June. The current business model for insurance providers is getting destroyed by storm after storm. The corporations are bleeding billions because of the ever more severe weather. Either all of us will be forced to pay massively higher premiums (ours has already doubled because of the rise in storm claims), or find ourselves in areas no insurance company will write a policy for. I'm not being dramatic. I'm being pragmatic.

And you "forgot" to mention data from the insurance industry, fire fighting groups, transportation agencies around the world, etc. that BEVs are about 50 times less likely to catch fire than gasoline powered cars. This whole "oooh, what about all the fires!" clap trap is just FUD spread by oil and gas/legacy automaker concerns who see the writing on the wall and are trying to find a way to survive....with lying and misinformation being their preferred strategy instead of focusing on their own shortcomings.

This is subject which is dividing people .Owners of EV hate those who doubt about it's value. When they face normal for any car damage or no fuel they hate themself for spending that money. .

I believe that EVs can be a part of the solution, but not the solution. I don't know why the manufacture has gone off the rails when it comes to putting more or less unnecessary tech into EVs. Why didn't they just switch the drive train and leaving dashboard alone. Call me old school but I like to be able to operate the various functions via a button (press or rotate). I can do it in the matter of a fraction of the time and attention needed to operate via a touchscreen. I also like the have the critical information shown right in front of me not away from the reality of driving which is straight ahead. I don't need the surroundings to be depicted on a screen it is just out side and in couloirs and far better visual quality. I believe that the tech scares a part of the buyers away.

@@Techwheels2024 Operating costs?? hmm, yeah right.. and "environMENTAL impact" only transferred from the tail pipe to coal power stations... but if you believe that EVs are powered by wind turbines and solar, than I have a statue for sale, its the Statue of Liberty, interested?
