Same I am so loyal to them am happy and forever will support my queens. Not a single song is boring or flop. Their every cb is always catchy and different. Being A self-made group is a plus point, which is v hard to achieve but they did, even after soojin left, they fought back. Again, for me her actions are not offensive at all nor disrespectful because if you think about that she was never rude to someone in real life, even when her "fans" at waterbomb shoot her in the eye with water gun. She raised her voice but she was not mean about it at all.

Well, that is factually wrong. Every group losses popularity, ask TVXQ, Super Junior, Big Bang, EXO, SNSD, 2NE1, Twice, they all were top groups and now they aren't. And g-idle debuted in 2018, I expect their contracts to run out in 2025, 7 years, and considering what happened to 4Minute and CLC I have little hope for them all resigning. So enjoy the comebacks while you can.

I think it's also a natural thing that happens as anything becomes more popular in general. The sheer volume of new people coming across it would increase, which would also increase the amount of criticisms and naysayers (and since negative comments tend to get the most attention, I can totally see how even a completely proportional increase in positive and negative attention would falsely give everyone the impression that negativity is disproportionately increasing).

As a Nevie, they deserved these criticism, not the hate.

Compared to other groups like I've this is really nothing. They all seem valid too, like plagiarism, honorifics etc which all have a good basis with real evidence. People should be accountable for their actions.

They are outspoken and a lot of people want their favorite pop stars to be bland and robots.

They seem like they are in the gutter more than other KPOP groups, talking about how good their boobs and butt look. Some people may like this but it seems a bit trashy to me. It's the kind of thing that turned me off about American music so I hope it doesn't become the norm in KPOP. I don't think they are talented either, they need to get someone who can actually speak English to check their lyrics because they sound dumb and grammatically incorrect. They are also one of the least attractive groups in KPOP which won't help with male fans.

English in Korean, Chinese or Japanese songs can be cringey, but we also need to accept that this country has their own unique way of pronouncing and use English words among themselves, and they wrote and sing their song mainly for their local listener first.

Queencard does not have a message. The song makes no sense, only part that makes sense is last part where they say skinny or big girl they are Queencard. If whole song had that message then it would be good, but the lyrics on other parts are just bunch of words thrown together and they even mention Kim Kardashian of all people. They do have songs with a message like Uh Oh and Tomboy, but Queencard is meaningless and have the worst lyrics I have heard.

You go back to any type of Pop music and most of the songs/lyrics are just purely for entertainment purposes. Sadly go back just as long and you will see that it is mostly female entertainers that are held up to the spot light of the public. I recently saw Mamamoo, Seventeen, Twice, CIX, NMIXX, BTS, Alexa, KARD, and will be seeing Gidle for the second time here in SF. I attend shows with my daughter (20) because we both enjoy the music, and aren't attending as some sort of social justice stance. Music can just be fun, and if people are going to hold the spotlight to one, they need to start holding it up to all.

about the Ateez song situation, she is not even the main producers, it's was Poptime but people don't even ask him to explain or apologize for it. Soyeon just receive a song and help produce it, but she still apologize.

It's cause their popularity skyrocketed with tomboy. Success attracts jealous haters which turns into more views and curiosity to check out the group.

Like Soyeon is the only member involved in title tracks production so are they her songs and the others are just back up singers/dancers? Do you enjoy their parts even though they are just singing what they were given by someone else? Or are they equal and important to the song even though they had little to no involvement with the writing and production?

@@bunch1 btw, its not only Soyeon producing their songs, 3-4 songs on their album is wrote by Yuqi and Minnie. I think you should watch interviews or shows where Soyeon talks about her creative process when writing the song. She write her song thinking and taking inspirations from her members as her muse. She always picks Minnie to start the song, because she like her unique mysterious tone and would emphasize on her unique pronunciation, she said she wrote the chorus/refrain just as how Korean love it and would give it to Miyeon, and would not shy away from letting Yuqi sing in her deep voice while other producers would only give that kind of voice rap parts and she would write Shuhua parts easy enough for her to pronounce and sing and would make use of her unique way of pronouncing certain words/sounds.

It's purely because she's been using informal speech. I know for stuck up Koreans that is a grave issue, but for more open-minded people that isn't a problem at all. She actually rarely used informal speech before because she wasn't used to it and people told her it's okay to use it (in certain situations), but now that she's more confident in using it she's getting hate.
