Not only does it always fail to create wealth and productivity, it always backfires extremely badly! And then we get into the detail that it completely *ruins* the willingness to produce, for crying out loud: Plymouth Colony itself had that same system, and even the *religious* communities that go for that fail, and badly at that: no recognition of skills nor talent at all- not once, not ever!

@@shauncameron8390 Yeah, amazing how often they forget that tidbit of history: yes, real socialism *has* been tried, many a time, and each time it is a complete and utter *failure*; so throw out the whole *belief system* and replace it with NONEXISTENCE And NOTHING AT ALL.

Pretty much the case. Many levels to the free market world. The majority will see opportunity and go for it in various degrees. Some will live in self pity. GOD helps those, who attempt to help themselves.

While I would agree that Socialism generally fails as regards productivity, I would disagree that it fails to create wealth: those at the top in a Socialist/Communist society become fabulously rich. Stalin had multiple dachas, and those in the Politburo managed one or two for themselves. While it was next to impossible for the proletariat to won cars, you can bet that those in government never did without. The Castros in Cuba were rich by any standards, much less when compared to the average Cuban. The same for Chavez and then Maduro in Venezuela.

Yes. They basically what their countries already had. They did not create new industry, upgrade the living standards of their citizens, or even fix their problems. They just became tribal chiefs on large scale.

It's an unfortunate video title. "In the end" it fails, because you over time grind the economy to a halt. The only way to stop communistic/socialistic economies' decline is to abandon those ideas. Free markets don't require abandonment of its idea to "fix itself". Poverty is eliminated faster by following the idea even closer.
