As a black American ive ran into this issue since birth, strange that most of the white americans i was around was worse, i.e. school drop out early pregnancy and etc... whereas I guess i was the good kid until i joined the military lol. well it really isnt the person skin color that causes these problems. it is the way that they were raised and the fact that there is a majority of a certain group that fit these stereotypes kinda ruins it for the minority in this group that are good people. and at the end of the day it is all purposely done by design by the democrats. by incentivizing broken homes, paying for mothers to raise kids without their fathers and of course bringing drugs into the equation so that the fathers go to prison and the mothers are addicted. so that the kids grow up with no father, mother only raising them because of the government money, then the streets wind up raising the kids to wind up in the same vicious cycle over and over. it isnt because they are black, it is because the government (democrats) targeted them this way. they are sick people, they couldnt get over having to end slavery. they had to keep it alive in their own way. (democrats were the party for slavery, the confederates. the republicans were the ones who ended slavery.) the democrats were also the ones to put into place all of the policies which kept the communities this way. not only have they ran the innercities for generations, they also put the welfare laws in place to incentivize broken homes, they put the laws into place to lock up the fathers (actually joe biden is the one who wrote that bill called the '94 crime bill) its insane that the democrats got the black community thinking opposite of the truth.

As a 46 year old black man none of this is new to me and I don’t take offense at all, i can assure you there are plenty of other black men that also will not take offense. This is the reality whether it’s true or not. Most, like me have learned long ago we can’t change the world and its stigmas and instead can only be ourselves and surround ourselves with those who match our energy regardless of skin. I only hope this video will help echo that sentiment and begin to change some hearts and minds when in come to fining happiness and love in Philippines.
Hey Mr Patrick H! I think it's all down to education. If schools in PH can educate the youngest then hopefully those kids can hold better attitudes as they grow into adulthood. I hate that this is such a slow process, but I think it's likely to be the most successful. Here in the UK there was a big education move in the 80's and 90s about how smoking was really bad, and then there was a big reduction in the numbers of smokers during the 00s as the kids of the 80s and 90s became adults and didn't take up smoking - which then helped lead to smoking bans across the country here. If that sort of education can be replicated then maybe it'll help remove more of the stigmas that you unfortunately come across.
That's the problem movies, TV, and social media. Actually get to know black people instead of just assuming things and not all blacks have a big banana. In school there was a black guy in my gym class that wouldn't shower in front of everyone because his banana wasn't big. I have what i have. The things she said in this video have been said in other videos. The dark skin being dirty is definitely illogical. Most Filipinos in the province have never met a foreigner in real life. Also preference goes both ways. For most decent black men, we won’t have issues with relationships in the Philippines

I heard a lot of similar things in the Philippines, I don't think this mindset is going away anytime soon. It's baked into the culture, which is cool. The colorism and colonialism mentality is strong. I'm about Michael B Jordan's completion and I remember talking to a lady that had a similar skin tone. She was telling me how a few of her cousins were using skin bleaching creams since about twelve years old. Even her own brothers and sisters did the same. All in an effort to be more accepted. Their mom was saying how she didn't want dark children and so on. She had a lot of trauma. 😮

What she's not telling you is that even though Lighter eyes, blue eyes green eyes is a preference, in the Philippines, those Traits are recessive gene traits. Which means the person/s she's talking about have weak recessive genes. Not good for procreation. Not my opinion but this is science. The Lighter you are, the easier it is for you to get sun burn. Before colonization Filipino’s loved their brown skin and wide noses. Thank God my mother did not believe the lies. If you live in a big city you would understand the generalities. Where I live you would not walk into a black neighborhood day or night if you are a white or Hispanic man. All women are welcomed. The drug use in these city neighborhoods is off the charts. I know. I went to one of those mixed high schools. Weapon possession is not here or there. Guns are everywhere. My next door neighbor's son is mixed and at his high school over half the kids are already gang members and carry. It really gives a bad name to decent black guys like my track teammates in college and so many quality black men. Unfortunately the actions of so many criminals casts aspersions on all black men. The same is true with the 70% of black men who run away from their responsibilities as a father. The family courts are overblown by child support and paternity cases.
