Next gen consoles are just a fad,if no innovation hits the game industry,this will be the last gen of console gaming. Now we are in the same state as in 1980,on the verge of a modern game industry crash
Right about what, a handheld is not gonna give the same experience as a console anytime soon, and as always there are people who just don't want to game on PC. Even though i game on PC i still game on console to, they are not going anywhere.
@@TakaChan569 the only system that can is the switch but it is a hybrid console/ handheld yes its on spec of an xbox 360 or ps3 graphics wise but it close to having an console exprience on a handheld
This is something that happens with every generation of consoles. Sony kept the PS4 up and running even as the PS5 was taking charge. It definitely helped since the PS5 was hard to find over the past 3 years. But now, it's time to move on. You definitely made a great point here. They need to develop games that can take full advantage of the PS5's hardware. It needs to be more than a slightly upgraded PS4. Hopefully, this will happen over the next few years. With that being said, I still enjoyed my PS4. It was one of the best consoles I ever had. But I'm definitely enjoying my PS5 right now. I just hope it gets to reach it's full potential. Much like the PS4 did.
Another thing I will add is that I hope the PS5 gets more backwards compatibility support in the future. Any has a whole host of games from 4 previous generations that shouldn't be left behind. Obviously, they should focus more on new games. But that doesn't mean that older games should get the shaft.
There was nothing improved on PS4 wtf , PS5 been out and nothing improved since then besides a fix on crashes from launch that should've never happened. It's all money they have the technology already been had it
so many generations of game consoles if only there were just one console that can play all of the playstation games instead of just saying goodbye to the console we have or had, how many playstation are we even getting? will it ever end?? I dont even think playstation graphics will be realistic as us at all still, just something i thought about since middle school olmost forgotten about this. (still keeping my ps4, and ps3)
Well, take heart, they were still releasing system software updates for PS3 as late as 2022 and who knows, it's always possible we might see another one sometime. Also there are still a few online games functioning on PS3. As for the PS4, the pandemic definitely helped extend it's lifetime and new releases are still coming out for it here in the second half of 2023 including a small number of AAA titles. If one was so inclined, replacing the internal hard drive with an SSD would really help the PS4, or even an external SSD.
PS4 at the time was on par with mid-range GPU power but with launching a PS5 Sony thought's it's time to make a console that's could be comparable with mid-high or high GPU power, so the original PS4 and even the PS4 slim has aged terribly in terms of power
Yeah the PS4 and Xbox One quickly felt outdated, which is why the Pro and One X felt much needed. I basically stopped console gaming until the One X came out. The PS5 and Xbox Series shipped relatively speaking, with a lot of power, they still seem powerful today. They'll definitely age better, unless there's a breakthrough or something with CPUs and GPUs
Nice video My only disappointment is the fact that aside from the RayTracing, and the upscale 8k texture upgrades. The graphics look too similar to the PS4. No tremendous huge jump. It has gotten to a point where I'm not too obsessed in playing new games, I'm comfortable with what my PS4 and Vita are offering to me. (Buying a PSVR very soon). And I'm fine with it. Probably till PS6
Maybe some or most developers didn't know what to do with the powerful hardware of the PS5 and Series X. Hence, why some next-gen games right now just looked like glorified current-gen games in terms of graphics Also, the PS4 lasting as long as the PS2 is quite an impressive feat for a video game console
I feel like the PS4 really pushed the graphics intensity to HDR real life lighting, making everything look almost photorealistic. The PS5 only added Raytracing, just bump the textures to 8k, with larger worlds and faster load times. That's all.
people keep talking next gen games but lets be real the entire gaming industry is declining next gen is life service, woke, lgbtq bs injected into games have fun

the PS4 pro is my last Sony Console. Heck I still play PS2 and PS3 sometimes because there are some really underrated hidden Gems that you can find used. And it's still a Blast. As for the PS5: I won't buy one. I don't see any reason to buy one. Most of it's games are Multiplattform Titles or timed exclusives which i can play on my PC. On top of that Sony lost a lot of first Party Games and even entire Genres since they shut down so many Studios, that even EA got jealous.

if they cut online and install game support then i think its a terrible mistake they will have a hard time to sell their future console knowing that it will be completely crippled and lose all your purchased games

What will happen to existing games even those free 2 play ones like warzone fortnite rogue company? WIll those still get updates? I know that it wont get anymore new games after 2025. But will existing games still get updates?
I wouldn't mind making a change to PS5 if Sony had a way to migrate the games from PS4 to PS5. Maybe through a cloud or something I would pay for that service

I think the shutdown is only for the new games release from 1st party PlayStation. For 3rd party developer or indie games, It is their choice to deliver to PS4 or not. But I believe we still can buy games from the PSN store for couple years like PS3 right know.
Despite what anyone says THIS is why the ps4 crashes and errors more. Its part of their control to force players to upgrade to new gen consoles while telling you its a hard drive issue that never had any real problems crashing as much until the ps5 showed up. Now ps4 crashes are almost daily and it feels like they just care about the money they make than the player base
Why are people hanging on so long? Ps5s are in stock and regular price like 600$, yes you heard me, Covid was 3 years ago. when the ps2 or ps3 came out everyone made the switch in a year and support was dropped. This is getting sad and it’s hindering the potential of new gen games.
Instead of PS5 or Xbox Series, save your hard earned money to buy Lenovo Legion Go. Consoles don't have proper backward compatible. And... Consoles war is beneath us.
Indeed, we still able too. The shutdown only support for the new games release. We still can buy games from the PSN store like PS3. We don't know when Sony will shutdown PSN store for PS3 and PS4. If we can't buy the games online anymore, our library still accessible and we still can buy used BD games. So don't worry.
Advise for Sony: make a cheaper PS5 console and better controllers (from de ps3 was worse and worse and...worse) that don't break after a few months, as for shitty games (like the new Gollum 🤣)... it's not their fault but still a problem.

Gamers need to understand that 2024 is the last year most Studios will squeeze the final juice out of the PS4, I would save up every month and get a PS5 in December, rumors are PS5 Pro will be released in December of 2024, then you’re set for a long long time, come 2025, there won’t be any talk of PS4 anymore unless you look forward to the yearly sports titles but that’s about it.
In a way I am glad because I can jailbreak it after they support it so y'all act like it's bad thing if anything it's good because you can jailbreak them and that's why I can't wait
So annoying that games can be so much better if they'd just stop making games cross-gen. Yeah, sucks for those without a PS5 but tough, games are being limited because of it.
i remember thinking that in like 2015/16 when games were STILL being made for the xbox 360 and felt held back by the hardware. It was only in late 2016/17 when only 8th gen games were made and things started to look a whole lot better.
