I revisited the Playstation 4 recently, and I'm enjoying it a lot more than Playstation 5. Is this a common feeling? Thank you for watching the video, leave a like would you kindly? #ps5 #ps4 #playstation
And some games that have had updates are playing at 60fps instead of 30. Or even some games like God of War Ragnarok with 120hz vrr tvs can run 70-90fps.
Every one of us even those with current gen has hundreds at a minimum games in the backlog. How many games you bought on sale because it was cheap with the thought process.... I'll get around to it at some point
@@chlamygamine2190 I like games like Kingdom Hearts, GTA III, VC, SA & LCS (I hate VCS due to it's insane difficulty and how it made me act like Irate Gamer and AVGN) and WWE Smackdown Shut Your Mouth
Truly next-gen games like Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart are truly amazing. Other games that have been upgraded for PS5 are good but this generation is severely lacking games built just for the 9th gen consoles.
@@randallbro6749You right, but for me personally the DualSense is more of a comfort in my hands because it’s bigger than the DualShock 4 and my hands are pretty big😂
Yea? You're playing Jedi Survivor, Alone in the Dark, Rebirth, Rise of Ronin, Returnal, Ratchet & Clank, Dead Space, Robocop, Final Fantasy 16, Spiderman 2, Stellar Blade & Helldivers 2 on PS4?
@@PreDatoOXCompare it to the DualShock 4 again if you haven’t in a while, because the DualSense’s handles are pointier and thinner than the DS4, which makes it feel less “full” in the hands imo. DualSense is a downgrade in almost every way to me.
We’re at a point where graphically we won’t see as big of leap, gameplay wise, we can still push boundaries but overall I think most of us grew up during the golden era of gaming (ps1 to ps3 personally) so I feel no matter regardless of what latest console releases, we will always fall back on nostalgia on what games in the past really made a huge impact on our lives. Those early 2000’s games really etched a special place in a lot of our hearts.
As far as graphics go, PS4 level visuals are good enough, but not with the performance you are getting. This gens games are noticeably more impressive and have higher performance, and those that are only 30fps, minus a few unoptimised titles look better still.
right now im collecting more ps3 games and ps4 games. ps3 games are slowly going up in value just like the 360 games so nows the time to get the ps3 games you want.
Bro? Have u not noticing people are coming back to PS3 Lately 😂😂😂 Very nostalgia console with a good games on and good DLCs and it even has a backwards compatible to play ps1 & 2 games…..but all of the ps3 console has backwards compatible to play ps1 games but for playing ps2 games u need that specific Backwards compatible …..and The online servers are still UP!!! even the store is Up!!!……overall PS3 at this point it’s better then PS5😂.
The PS5 has three main problems: 1. Supply issues during the first two years of its life resulted in most people sticking with PS4 rather than shell out extortionist scalper prices for the PS5. Because of this, Sony decided to make the vast majority of Playstation games that have released since the PS5 came out also available on PS4. Naturally most people just decided to stick with the PS4 since it was way cheaper and easier to get, and they could still play most new releases anyway. 2. Game devs' insistence on targeting the Switch has seriously gimped the 9th generation of gaming. Few games have been able to truly take advantage of the full power of the PS5 (and also XSX) due to games being held back to be made playable on the Switch as well. The handful that do get to take full advantage of the PS5 are typically outstanding next-gen titles, but those games are few in number unfortunately. This is also why the announcement that Sony was developing a PS5 "Pro" was mostly met with disinterest.. there's no reason at all to buy into an upgraded (and undoubtedly more expensive) PS5 when hardly any games take advantage of the base console as-is. 3. The price. We're nearing 4 years into the consoles' lifecycle and the supply issues from the covid years have been resolved. The PS5 is readily available everywhere, and yet the console STILL costs around $450-$500. You can easily get a PS4/PS4 Pro for half that price. And since the PS5 is lacking in exclusives as this point in its life coupled with Sony's decision to put most of their new games also on PS4, it makes the PS5 a very difficult sell. Overall I like the PS5. Performance-wise it blows the PS4 out of the water, and since it can play the vast majority of PS4 games I think the PS5 is the better buy for people who don't own either console. You get access to all the great games on the PS4, AND the PS5 library, AND it's future-proofed for performance as new games come out over the next several years. I think Sony is finally ready to move on from the PS4 era, and is expecting GTA6 to be the "passing of the torch" in that regard. Hopefully with Nintendo also announcing the existence of the "Switch 2", we'll start seeing devs making more games that can take better advantage of the current-gen hardware.
I like your write up. For price, remember that Sony dared to INCREASE the price for its 4 year old hardware in the UK, Australia, Mexico and Canada. Not only did Sony waste 2 years of the console's life cycle by refusing to mitigate scalpers, but now it expects us to pay MORE money for fewer years of usability.
I was thinking of buying a PC but then I saw a listing online for a used PS4 Pro that costs $180 (There's no way I'm gonna find a used PC for that price). Tho it didn't come with a controller or any games, just the console and cables. But that's not a problem cuz I bought a DS4 a couple of months back to use for gaming on emulators on my laptop. So then I just bought a second hand copy of vanilla P5 for $10 cuz royal is triple the price for some reason and now I'm having a lot of fun gaming. I still use a 1080p monitor so the resolution isn't a problem and the Pro can run games like MGS V at 60 fps and I can use super sampling to make the picture even crisper. I'm just waiting for a jailbreak to be available for my firmware to then unlock the full potential of this PS4.
I think another thing worth noting is that a lot of people still have 2k tvs, and can't even take full advantage of the ps5 without spending an additional few hundreds bucks on a new tv, too.
PS4 games run just fine on PS4 yes PS4 games on PS5 yes there's lower load times, graphical upgrade, and better FPS but if you don't care for that they run just fine on PS4. Hell id Rather have the PS4 be like the PS5 and be backwards compatible with ps3
@@oldandnewgamer you can count on one hand how many games that actually applies to. a far cry from "a lot". PS4 games perform and load way better on a PS5
I'm still rockin' my launch day PS4 and I couldn't be happier... There's tons of quality games that still look great and I can pick 'em up for dirt-cheap prices too.
If you're new to PS4 I highly recommend God of war the remake and horizon zero dawn (the puzzles in the game can be garbage but if you get pass them it's 👌)
May I ask why get a ps4 to play Days Gone when ps5 plays Days Gone at 60fps and is future proof for other upcoming games? Was it the price or something?
@@fall-neckthetallneck2977 the game runs fine on PS4. It's not in an unplayable state. That doesn't justify the price of upgrading when current situation as it stands with many of us
No PS2 was the last truly incredible console. Sony revealed it's greed with the PS3's insane launch price. PS2 was a pure, fun and fair console from start to finish
@@spectral99 Yes, precisely. Somehow you can access the normal "desktop" version and it works quite smooth, but like you said, it is devoid of some funcionalities that are normally present on a computer/laptop. Those incluse the full screen mode (yes, it is a drag), and, for example, playing the video on repeat. I like the app version, it's just that the ads are crazy. Strange times when you can have any musical album one click away, but at the same time you can't listen to it in peace. Because the commercial starts literally after every song.
I bought a PS5 3 months ago... and Demon's Souls, Stellar Blade, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and coming soon Shin Megami Tensei V Vengance is good enough for me
@@Enzed_ Thats true... still my jaw dropped first time i played demon souls (i still played a little on ps3... since theres an active private server), imo best looking souls game. And ff7 rebirth is a pretty big leap from ff7.
I bought a used PS4 Pro in 2020 for like $290 (because the PS5 was basically a myth back then) and I still dont feel like upgrading. There are like 3 games that intrest me on the PS5 and I'm not willing to spend $500 for 3 games.
I still have my PS4 pro but these consoles should not came out in 2020 in the pandemic plus gaming industry needs a reset. I still do not finish the games I brought like Nioh 1 and 2 Hitman 3 The Witcher 3 etc. I am glad that gamers like you being honest plus this conversation is heating up for the last few day. Good video💯😉✌🏽
No way in hell would I tell someone to buy an outdated system when you can get the new system with better performance and better features especially when the new system plays old AND new games
yea I think I'm only going to get a ps5 or xbox for gta 6 and hopefully red dead 3. I have a steam deck and with that and emulation I've been more than fine. Great videos Canada man
I started playing Days Gone and was very nervous to face the hordes of freekers but the game progressed so beautifully and gradually that by the time I faced the first horde I was not afraid at all and moreover, how the game provides multiple ways to take down the hordes is just amazing. Level Design, Story, Gameplay, Graphics and everything in between is just awesome.
I would guess that everyone is still on the ps4 because: 1. Ps4 games still look great 2. Most people play ps4 games on their ps5s anyway 3. Massive supply shortage that lasted so long people probably just figured they wait for the ps5 pro.
Alternate take, PS5 consoles were difficult to obtain for a while, on top of the fact that the vast majority of games were released on both consoles and a lack of PS5 games has led to people sticking to the PS4. For me, never had a PS4. Recently picked up a PS5 and I can just get the games from PS4 and play them on the PS5. My current breakdown is about 50/50 and I go for the PS5 version first if both are available.
You know it’s weird. The PS5 has sold almost the same as the PS4 in the same timeframe and had the shortage issues the PS4 didn’t. Not sure why everyone thinks it’s doing much worse than the PS4 did when it’s almost 1:1. In terms of PSN - PS3 didn’t have PS Plus and PS4 upgraded lots of the network features so there was more reasons to upgrade from PS3 to PS4.
@@tacos4419 when it launched in 2010 it was not needed for online play. It was more of an additional tier system with free games, discounts etc. cloud saves were added later. I don’t think it became mandatory for online play until the ps4 launched - ps4 needed ps plus where as ps3 did not. The service was fundamentally different on ps3.
Doesn’t matter how people think, PS5 is a failure, because it can’t make enough money, sony admitted that. Ya PS5 sold as much as PS4 in the same timeframe, but now more people play games than before, so the number is very bad, not to mention making triple A PS5 games is very expensive. Nintendo switch makes a lot of money that’s for sure, that’s why they kept delaying Nintendo Switch 2, because switch still making lots of profit.
@@tka060681this gotta be the dumbest comment lol the ps5 has already made more money this gen the entirety of the ps4 generation what are you talking about ? 🤣🤦🏾♂️
If I am being honest I really like my ps5 and it released during a period when people didn’t have the ability to buy one right away. It been a great console for me and I can’t wait to see what next
Could be if you already have PS4, especially Pro. As for me, I'll be getting PS5 soon as I just bought a 4K TV today and sold my PS4 like 10 years ago in favour of getting a gaming PC.
As a pc gamer, I see no reason to get a ps5, not because we've been getting all the exclusives, I just don't care about them. Now as for the ps4, it's pretty much only a Bloodborne machine, which I hope we get some day soon (I'd play the ps4 gravity Rush games too, tho). And as for ps3, I just can play those on PC
I wish the PS5 had the PS4's ui and overall physical looks. But Sorry 60FPS is just a necessity where applicable. Infinitely makes games more enjoyable.
Well I’m surprised you didn’t go over how the PS5 hasn’t gone down in price. Usually people transition to the new generation of consoles when the “slim” models come out at a new cheap price. Instead Sony raised the price of the console, pricing out a lot of gamers
The Ps4 is a great console indeed. I noticed Simpsons Hit & Run in the background. Fantastic game and for many years now i have wondered to myself, when are they gonna port that game over or remaster it. Hopefully soon.
I bought a ps5 in Christmas season 2023 and have no regrets. I have a ps4 as well as a ps3 so i have many games to play. I don't have any subscription gaming service as i only play single player games. I take advantage of Playstation online store sales, but I prefer to buy my games physically. I have an extensive backlog of games from the ps3, ps4 and the ps5. I also love retro style games on psn and the ability to buy a lot of ps1 ps2 classics on psn. I look forward to playing more ps5 games in the future. Happy gaming folks and God bless.
If you're trying multiplayer games i must recommend one that is really good. A free to play PvP game on ps4 called Vigor. I don't play any multiplayer games whatsoever but i do play Vigor because it's just so much fun. I am even complete trash at it but i still enjoy playing. Thanks for the video. Btw ps5 may not be miles ahead of ps4 but it definitely brings enough to the table to be worth upgrading to.imo
I had the regular ps4 from playstation and while I loved it the thing that keeps me on the ps5 is how much more easy it is too record content from it is
EXACTLY THATS WHAT IM SAYING!!! Ps5 is just not worth it and it looks boring and bad designed system outside and inside …..ps4 will always top the ps5 with the looks and designed and more games too it…..ps4 is still entertaining me after 7 years I got my self a Nintendo switch because I thought it was cool and very and I started to realize that Nintendo switch feels very worthless to me…..the most and the only 1 console That will always makes me happy and having fun.
The ps5 and Xbox series X generation is a tweener generation. There us a huge lack of original Ips and games. There is just an overall lack of hype for games and consoles in general. Companies turned people into sheep to the point they just buy a new console just to buy it.
P45 is literally PS4 Pro max lol… Don’t get me wrong, playing PS4 games without jet engine fan noise is so good but I was expecting more. And another thing. Where are home screen themes? Where are folders to manage your games at home screen? What happened? Are we going backwards or what?
Nobody with half a brain denies this and it's not just PS5, but Xbox Series X too. This 9th console generation is pitiful. Two years wasted because Sony refused to stop scalpers, barely any noteworthy games and a price increase for aging hardware. Sony is taking advantage of good graces gained from PS4 just like it did with the PS2 and Xbox forgot it's a gaming console and can't even get its name right, let alone the physical design and UI. Hard pass
I have both. I’ve played the same games on each. Yes load times and stuff are hands down PS5, but you need someone to point out the graphical differences. So their are more trees and others minor things. It’s just not a large enough difference for the money. In my opinion
PS5 looks like a pretty nice machine but my PS4 Pro will definitely keep me entertained for many years into the future. Yesterday I took a quick glance at my backlog and counted 42 completely untouched physical releases (some PS3/X360 but the majority for PS4) plus another 25 or so that I quit playing after a few hours but plan to give a second chance later on. And then there's the shelf with PS2 and OG Xbox titles I still haven't played... An open world game usually takes me several months to finish (or grow tired of - whichever comes first), so even if I ONLY focus on the ten or so unplayed sandbox games it'll take me years to get through them. I can't really see myself getting a PS5 anytime soon. Possibly a PS6 Pro... or a PS7. 😄
Friend, I finally boxed my xbox 360 a couple months ago (200 games). Got a ps4 pro for a couple years, but now thats my main gaming hardware. It feel next gen to me 😂😂
I recently bought my first Xbox one from about 10 years old. I think exactly the same way about that, than what you said about the ps5. I am 34 now and i dont even see the graphic improvements anymore😆😆
2 reasons, 1 they are still releasing all the games on ps4, and 2 (which is where I fall) we got burned by getting a ps4 only for them to release a pro version. Now we all collectively said screw you Sony, we aren't buying a 5 until the pro comes out.
100% facts. I’m considering selling my PS5 and honestly go with a Nintendo Switch instead. I never got to experience the huge catalog and handheld/portable experience so I’m looking forward to that
Same conversation about the ps4 and x one at this same time last generation. More people are still playing ps3 and 360! This gen has no games! Same exact headlines and social media will be saying this about next gen and praising this one.
I think GTA6 should think through because ps4 and xbox one didn't get any GTA game because no matter they will stop making good titles still people will be on PS4 because many of us having played some quality ps4 games so if they stopped it will be bad business because we have installed base system and the games run fine on ps4😊
I own a PS5, and gave my old PS4 to my sister, and she said she's getting a lot out of it. I got this thing last year, but only now do I feel like I'm even beginning to get value out of it. To be honest, I dunno if it will be much better; I've never been a GTA guy, but a LOT of people love that series and expect GTA VI to be the big one, but I also see some saying it's possible for the game to be the series' first true failure in terms of mainline entries. Only time will tell for sure, but while I plan to keep my PS5, even I have to admit it's a tough sell if you still have your PS4.
There was no ps5 in stores from the beginning. I couldnt buy one. Then, there was to much updated ps4 games on ps5. Today, I still want a ps5 but im okey with ps4..
Storage is a problem, 8tb 2.5" ssd is half the price of the 8tb m.2, I do have 2tb extra in the ps5 thats already filled with mainly psvr2 games. if it wasnt for the headset i wouldnt have bought the later console.
I'm still happy with my PS4 PRO which I got to upgrade to 4K but had no reason like that to get a PS5! Sucks I can't play games like Final Fantasy Rebirth or Yuffie but still..
Premium just gives you ttrials and classic games, you get all of the PS5 games with the extra one. It doesn't makes sense that the demos are behind some weird subscription wall.
Days Gone Rocks!!! Enjoy it. Also, same as many on here. Still on the PS4 pro, still playing older systems as well. Keep thinking that someday I will see something that compels me to buy a PS5, just hasn't happened... yet.
