Sorority Expert, Bama Rush star and Rush Consultant Lorie Stefanelli explains why sororities are so popular in the south. Full Episode: • Rush Consultant Explai...
It's another way for classist people to gate keep networks and relationships since more and more "poors" are getting into college and it's not as exclusive as before, which makes them uncomfy so they have to find more and more ways to filter out the "undesirables" and keep their insular homogenous "culture". "Diversity" in those sororities means accepting a couple token brunettes or girls who might want a career or who have voted for a Democrat.
I can not with you. most of those democrats are the people who are so trashy. And some sororities at certain places are not that expensive. YOu have to pay for things its not like the sororities have all this money
@@Vballgirl2021 well, it's good we're not friends and have no impact on each other's lives - our different opinions are not important to each other. Thanks for sharing. Have a great holiday season.
I used to live in Phoenix but I don't remember it being a big Greek life school. Party school yes, but I don't remember that part being big. I could 100% be wrong on this though
I went to ASU and didn't feel particularly pressured or like I was missing out without doing greek life. It's such a big school there was plenty to do (and parties to find) without it!
Could these be the girls that were in the popular clique in high school? They want to continue to be in the "cool club" when they move on to college, and for it to be visible, so they pursue membership in a sorority.
When your life peak occurs in your early 20s and your main priority is landing a good man rather than building a strong career or resume, you choose and take this path in life. It’s not until 20 years later when their looks fade and the Chad they marry decide enough is enough, files for divorce and upgrades to a younger prettier version of their ex. That’s when the harsh reality kicks in. It won’t happen to all of them but it will happen to enough of them.
@@28430u can easily get another job with 20 years experience plus u have much more protections it's okay if u don't have dreams and ambitions outside the family, also the two are not mutually exclusive
Idk man I had an unforgettable 4 years in college partying every weekend, then worked really hard to build a good career and now living a great life with tons of awesome memories of my youth, you're making some broad generalizations there salty
@@Ymh100 I did the same as you except I didn’t join a frat and pay some dues to have such fun. I am generalizing here but I’m not wrong either. The outcome for many of these girls is about as common as your favorite rapper being arrested. Doesn’t apply to all but it applies to enough that’s it cliche.
Why does she feel like she needs to qualify the “ no career” thing with “Not to be mean but…”. So what if they get married after college and stay home to raise a family? That’s what we desperately need more of in this country.
I agree 100% but it’s probably because the point of university is to benefit a career and some of these girls are only going so they can join a sorority.
My mom was in a sorority at Auburn in the late 80s early 90s and they didn’t (and still don’t) have sorority houses. This lady does not know what she’s talking about 😂😂
