I wanted to create a series just based off of historical events but still give the CH's their own back stories and personalities but I was never able to because of motivation and storage issues so I really hope to see more videos like this because they're just amazing! keep up the hardwork!
Thank you!!! The main reason I started posting Country/Statehumans stuff was because I wanted to tell a bunch of history stories I knew to help people learn about stuff!!!
I like that you’re actually teaching some sort of history mixing it with a fanon take. Though I would add these things. Florida was not the only ports to its souther colonies. Spain owned New Orleans and by extension the entire Mississippi River.
Yep! Spain had it for roughly 40-ish years after France gave its Louisiana territory to Spain to keep it out of British hands(and to eventually get back) because of France’s loss in the French and Indian War. Spain gave it back to France(Napoleonic) around 1801, all of which 2 years later in 1803 was sold to the US in the Louisiana Purchase. Also Florida was only 1 of many ports, which sorta adds to how invaluable it was to Spain. When I recorded the voice over I completely blanked on that so I tried to add in that it was one of the main ports in editing through subtitles.
@@Kai-07Lka Ah ok makes sense. We all tend to forget stuff in editing. Otherwise I see a lot of potential in your stuff and hope you keep growing, Cheers.
I'm not the biggest fan of gacha or anything but the history you got out of this is very very good I'm impressed good job continue what you're doing :D
Yeah, While I was researching it I couldn’t find a straight answer apparently the X is the Empire flag but then the royal flag, Spanish flag, and Empire flag are all different so I didn’t know what to go with. And some were just way too difficult to make. So I ended up going with that one cause I’d already made it and it was used at the time(Apparently as a war ensign). Most empires back then didn’t have flags, but flags for merchants, the kings and colonies. It’s hard to find a one central flag.
There were 2 flags for the Spanish Empire the Cross and a War ensign(That I used). The War ensign has a nearly identical appearance to the First Republic. The only difference is one has a crown and one doesn't. The Cross was primarily used for colonies and the Ensign was used to identify Spanish ships and other things like that(Starting in 1785). Spain didn't really have a national flag at the time just identifiers of things.
