Nah not this year, the s24 is pretty good and the s24 plus because the s24 plus is like the s24 ultra. And It's probably only good if you get the snapdragon version because people have had heating issues with the exynos version and snapdragon is just better
Truth is once you go flagship, you can't go midrange again neither will you ever try low budget in life. You'll rather not have a phone than use low budget. Anyways flagship are super expensive, so not worth buying immediately its out except money no be problem. I've gone from infinix hot 1, to redmi 9 to mi 11 lite and then now Mi11i. When you use a snapdragon 888 processor, you'll know why flagships are the real deal. Then Updates, ive gotten 3 major android updates. Presently on android 14 from android 11. If you get a clean used flagship at a great deal, just buy it and know peace
Well said.. my first Xiaomi device was Redmi note 7 and I've been using note 10 pro for 2 years now.. I'm already contemplating going for Xiaomi 13 pro next, I'm tired of midrange now😅😂
I definitely agree. for the last 5 years I always brought mid to lower range phones I used the moto g stylus 2021 5g for like 2 years but this year I finally broke and brought a samsung s23 fe and like you said I can never see myself going back to the low range phones.
Honestly as a Nigerian what you said at the beginning of this video is what we need to think of instead of buying phones for show up why cant we buy them as just gadgets to simplify our daily activities. Even with the current poor economy that people are battling to survive some go to some extent to change phone every year just prestige which does not make sense at all. I am team what i can afford lol
I love flagship phones but I do not purchase them once they were released. What I do is I wait for 6 months and I purchase 2nd hand flagship phones, I always got them 30-50% lower than its initial price. There's no reason for me to get them early, let those rich guys do that 😂
Same for me, and no I won't buy my main phone from China. Quality wise, bad. And not me hating. I had an Oppo, a Huawei, a Poco, and my current secondary is a Xiaomi Mi 12T. I hate the software bugs and how intrusive it is, lags all the time, etc. My Galaxy A71 performed better at everything except for the camera, which is solved when I bought an S22U.
I believe in buying a refurbished flagship. The performance will always be better in the long run. As for the Nigerian economic climate, midrange phones are now as expensive as flagships used to be.
A couple of years ago the difference between a flagship ad a budget or midrange was huge, it was definitely worth getting a flagship if you could afford it as it was better built, had way better performance and had a much longer longevity compared to a budget or midrange. But now it's completely different. Midranges have really bridged the gap now and are only missing features that most people don't even notice
Team flagship bro. I am an IT professional so I need a device that will get frequent updates (especially security patches). I also use a lot of apps and features for work so a good processor with good battery life and software support is most important to me. And having a fast processor is a plus. And last thing, if I am going to fork up $500 USD for a device (which is $100k in my country) I just add more and buy a flagship so I can use it much longer because of durability and software support and if I feel like selling after a year the resale value is still high.
I think buying a year or two year old flagship is better than midrange because it has same support left as the newer midrange and can be bought staying in budget but you are getting that flagship experience in that. The only downgrade which i can think is the design but everyone use cases now so that kind of solves that problem too.
I have owned budget Samsung smartphones for some years now from the J1 to the J3 and now the A22 and they seem to have the same problem, the vibration motor always stops working. Maybe it's just the budget phones but I'm curious to see how the flagship S line performs with regards to haptic longevity. Having said that, it's a No for me on midrange or budget phones
Samsung promises 4 Android OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates for the A35. However, back in 2021, they only gave 2 Android OS upgrades and 4 years of security patches for the A32. I think the A32 should have gotten Android 14 as the A52 and A72 did, but Samsung decided not to give it the A32
Personally for certain items like a smart phone I go by the rule of 5. If I can’t afford 5 of it comfortably without struggling financially afterwards then I won’t buy it. Won’t be the end of the world.
I buy the new flagship iPhone every year. Why compromise? Keep up to date. Use last flagship to get new flagship + a few extra dollars. Can’t do that with mid range phones as they don’t hold their value as much
Buying a new phone every year is crazy and what do you even do with your old phones? Because for Samsung you can trade in a phone and you will basically have a discount.
I'm team flagship but I'd always buy an older flagship I've been using an s21 for 2 years now and I've not seen any reason to upgrade because despite it's oldness,nevertheless it still handles everything I throw at it... I'm waiting for the s25 to come before I consider upgrading to maybe the s23
In fact, those features that make them Ultra phones we end up not using them. We only use the features that are on the midrange phones even though we using the Ultra phones
so if you want, 3 good camera with UI like with OIS, Periscopic Camera and an ultra wide.. which would be the best midrange? i thought the realme 12 pro plus but its periscopic camera does not do a good job again it does not have a good processor. so which mobile you recommend.. with UI support, Camera and performance.
Best to buy a flagship device at a price, or a midrange from Samsung or an iPhone basic. You will be sure of the quality. And this is awesome. We are not super big tech influencers who always have a new iPhone and Android phone every 6 months with the highest configuration.
Samsung has reserved AI features to just it's S series phones, so that A series phone don't get them. Also, the A series phones don't get updated as quickly as the S series phones do Not everyone needs a $1,000 phone, all they need is a low or mid-range phone for their needs

I love flagship phones But don't buy them cos they're highly too expensive.. So I wait to its becomes less then I go for it, but by that time another flagship already out again.
@@izzyOla true 💯 percent, I had time choosing both, love the S22 ultra but generally prefer the s21 ultra more because of the curved design (I gat small fingers) and value of money, but eventually I choose the S22 ultra because of longer software updates, security, night shots and slightly more better performance, and I am going to use this phone till thy kingdom come, cause this is my first samsung phone and I am coming from a Tecno camon
Most people that bought a flagship did'nt use it at their full potential like my mother she only use her iphone 13 pro max for casual use texting, messaging, calling, internet browsing and social media
For me, i would go for mid range. Like a google pixel 8 would be my go to device. but if i were to use one fone for 3+ years, then i would go for a flagship if i can afford it.
