I have a student I'd say misbehaves for Skill and Escape reasons. Im an intern in an arts&crafts class. He is around 11 years old and shows no motivation or interest in most assignments (from his other teachers I hear he doesn't really show motivation at all. Do you have any tips?

A suggestion: Have a 1:1 conversation with the student and ask about his interests (it doesn't have to be school-related), then see if you can create an assignment or set of assignments that connects to his interests and meets his skill level. This may motivate him to start working at least. If successful, in time start incorporating your lesson plan based assignments to his special assignments and fade out the special ( or most) until you get him working on working with rest of class if possible.
