This involves keeping your government clean from corruption, having a stable economy (which often relies on foreign trade agreements), and a stable population. This soft power means that other countries will be willing to invest in your country, as in expand foreign business operations, like putting Starbucks in new countries, because they are confident that there won’t be some disaster like a political uprising or extreme poverty.
