We just did. Became a contributor to your Patreon using my husband’s account. Best of lucks with your travel in Taiwan. No more broken items! 😊 And don’t forget to put on sunblock. BTW, I wonder if you can use Google Translator on your cell and have local people speak to the microphone for translation. It might help your communication with those who do not speak English.
@@NaickKim Interesting video. While I've been to Taitung several times I haven't explored much of the nearby area. Love visiting Taiwan and have been at least 10 times. My boyfriend is originally from Taiwan.
Taiwan is definitely underrated! Even for English teachers, Taiwan is not a popular destination besides Korea or Japan, but then I realized it was the best choice. I have no regrets!
That moo mobile b-roll....I could watch that 1000 times. Great points about the state of Taiwan tourism. It’s severely underrated. I think the language barrier might have something to do with it as well. English is not widely used. But it’s also fun to try to learn Chinese!
I actually was quite surprised when l was there at how many things are in English compared to other small countries in Asia or South America. You can also usually find someone who knows some English if you’re lost too. Personally l don’t want Taiwan to be overrun with tourists. Let’s just keep it between ourselves! 😁
I totally agree Taiwan is an under rated travel destination. Like you guys, before I went there, I didn't really have much passion for visiting, as you just never really here about it. The girl who became my wife is Taiwanese + I first visited there to meet her family etc. (we met overseas) + I was blown away by the country (as you say - the entire package - the scenery, the people, the food). As for the one key reason to visit (the Taj Mahal as you say) - I think Taroko could serve that role. I wonder if Taiwan's obscurity is partly to do with the lack of international space and visibility afforded it due to Chinese pressure. In any case, the result of fewer tourists leads to a more authentic experience. You feel less like you are following a well worn tourist path + actually discovering a new country and people's way of life. What an amazing place for you guys to land during this Pandemic! Keep spreading the good word.
@@NaickKim Yes, really great. Also, when you can speak Mandarin, you discover the friendly + helpful nature of the people is very authentic, and is only becomes more obvious.
Totally agree with you, Taiwan is so underrated destination. We went there once for a week and oh boy the food, views, culture & people really make us want to come back again to explore more🙌🏻😭
That moment when the lady was so concentrated in explaining everything in Chinese even though you guys don’t understand a word was epic lolll How amazing you almost got it correct! One best thing about Taiwan people is they treat you equally no matter where you come from and what languages you speak with hospitality and warm hearts. I think you are right it’s people that makes Taiwan so precious but somehow it’s hard to explain to others. You have to come and feel it by yourselves 😊
It is definitely underrated. I have been to Taiwan four times for the past 3 years. It should be 5 times as i chose to transit in Taipei when I went to New York last year. People are generally friendly and open-minded,, food is delicious, many scenic places, it is safe, love the hot springs, seamless connectivity.
Taiwan is like a hidden gem→ "emerald", waiting for the world to discover!! I am happy that I find your video, and Thank you for opening the door for me to see this mysterious and beautiful island! After the epidemic is over, I will definitely visit Taiwan! Thanks again for sharing!! ( ớ ₃ờ)~💖
Your videos are a delight to watch... I am in Kaohsiung, for me it has been a much longer stay then I had envisioned. I think you hit the nail on the head, Taiwan has never been high on my list, because it does not have that one feature that draws in the crowds. It does however have everything and is very pleasant to travel around in. I love I can sit at a coffee shop, leave for the bathroom (or even for 30 or more minutes to run an errand) and when I come back my phone and laptop are still there... I do not think I would try that in any other country. For those who like sports, Taiwan does have the KOM (a 90km bike ride up a 3.5km high mountain), great bike rides and great Triathlon races.
@@NaickKim Hot and muggy..... I was out for a run at 6am and was soaked after about 10 minutes. When out for a meeting I make sure I have a dry shirt in my bag :-)
As a Taiwanese, local people, some may usually get used to see these beautiful things and might think it’s not really special. However, your videos remind us (or me ) all of these wonderful things from daily life. It’s really really appreciate you two filmed these fantastic video! 😊😊😊
Taiwan is amazing and I love the country, spent 6 months there on a working holiday visa but it's not as well setup for international tourists compared to places like Thailand where you can always get an English menu and almost every shop has an English translation of its name. The Taiwanese government has done a very good job with dual languages on street signs and tourist attractions information plaques though. Before I went to Taiwan I had no idea that it really existed and the only reason I found out about it was because one of my favourite RU-vidrs who lived in China moved there and said how good it was. Taiwan doesn't ever get a mention on our news in Australia and the whole time I was there I only met 2 other Aussies. But half of the young Taiwanese I spoke to had been to Australia and loved it.
@@KenGold666 Yeah I went to Taiwan in 2018 about 6 months after Prozzie went there and left about 2 weeks before ADV China were in Taiwan filming videos.
If you’re in Sydney or Brisbane there is a large Taiwanese community and quite a few restaurants. Even now at Woolworths l can buy frozen green onion pancakes as well as Taiwanese sauces and drinks. Personally l’m glad Taiwan is not overrun with English signs as that’s the beauty of visiting a new country for me. They have enough for me to get by or there’s a local to help translate. If not, there’s always an app. I also like learning a bit of the local language.
I'm from Melbourne and while there a couple of Taiwanese restaurants they are not common. I don't think we have a large Taiwanese population here. More people from HK and Malaysia and the Mainland in Melbourne.
You made some of the best drone shots I've ever seen. Thank you for recording all those wonderful sceneries and made such great videos! It's not only the shooting skill but also personalities of both of you make your channel great!
It fills my heart with joy that you are enjoying Taiwan so much. It honestly is my favourite place in the world, the people so kind, the food is delicious and the scenery is so beautiful.
Here I am, leaving my first time ever comment to a RU-vid video, for you! I love you guys! I turned to RU-vid to cope with my Taiwan homesick when I can't travel back home from California this year due to this crazy pademic, and then I found you guys! I love how effortless you two were when you introduced these amazing scenaries. It's relaxing and stress free to travel with you two. Thank you and enjoy my hometown for me! XOXOXO!
your communications with the lady in the bicycle shop was so cute. I am very proud of you even you do not know mandarin but still so brave to challenge with all new things which could be happened to you. Thank you for introducing Taiwan to your people or even those so called western people. Have a lot of fun in Taiwan, Go !👍
Love your videos. Your photography and drone shots are amazing. I absolutely love your humour and was laughing hysterically at the "moobile" gangster bass ass segment. I am now interested in travelling to Taiwan once it is safe to leave from Australia. Like you it has never been on my bucket list. I started following you late last year when you were in Guilin and Yangshou. I visited those regions of China and took the boat along the Li River on your recommendation. Thanks so much for your videos and keep the humour coming. I am going to start supporting you on Patreon because you must keep travelling.
Hi Suzanne. Wow, you have indeed been following us for a long time then. Thank you so much. The MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'bile shots were so fun to make hahaha. It's so nice to hear you went to visit those places as well. It's why we started this channel, to inspire others to travel more and share the beauty in the world. 🤩 Thank you for your support on Patreon. It really helps us a lot to continue to make these videos.
You both are right! Taiwan is really underrated. Your video is so beautiful and full of passion. Your drone shot is impressive, very good skillful. I totally agree that Taiwan tourism bureau should hire you for promoting Taiwan travel business. Thanks you for making these video in series for introducing Taiwan.
Mr. Brown is a well know brand for coffee. Years ago, a TV commercial for Mr. Brown coffee was shot in that avenue. It caught huge attention. That's the reason why people now call it Mr. Brown Avenue.
@@NaickKim Up in the hills north of Yilan there's Mr. Brown Castle Cafe, owned by the company (King Car, whose brands also include Kavalan Whisky and Buckskin Beer). It's a good place to stop for a coffee and refreshment (you'd need a scooter to get up there). There are lots of good hiking trails in the area around it, with great views of the mountains and ocean.
@@NaickKim Remember to try Kavalan's Solist Vinho Barrique whisky before leaving Taiwan, the best single malt whisky on earth, according to the World Whisky Awards.
Congratulations for reaching your bad luck quota! It’s said that once you have three bad lucks, it’ll be smooth sailing afterwards. Love the scenery of this video! Thanks!
@@NaickKim Too bad you didn't stay in the small town overnight. The morning dews and the pink moment at dusk... Incredibly amazing, beyond description.
Another great video. Those drone shots were amazing. When this pandemic is over, we will be going to Taiwan for 2 weeks. We were planning on staying the whole time in Taipei but all your videos makes me want to travel around to the different areas. Hubby doesn't want to keep moving to different hotels all the time so maybe we'll have to do just 2 places on this trip and save the others for another trip. Or maybe we'll need 3 weeks.
I'd recommend 3 weeks if you can. Taipei makes for some great trips in the surroundings. But I would recommend going to at least one other place as well as a base to explore the east or the south.
I am touched by your videos every time. How beautiful the views they are. They raised up my spirit. Through your exploring Taiwan, my eyesight seems like the same as your traveling around the world. Thank you.
I do appreciate you use your sincere view to show the beauty of Taiwan. We Taiwanese embrace different views and voice, no matter it’s positive or negative. I like the way you enjoy the life in Taiwan and try to explore as much as you can which broaden my view at the same time. I feel lucky to watch this positive video in such a beautiful Saturday. Many thanks :)
THE MV part and don't be such drama queen really make me happy^0^ This episode is awesome You are getting better and better with drone You used a lot of different angles to shoot Taiwan beautifully Like you guys
It's my first time for using patron. My wife love your video so much, so she say we must subscribe it for showing how we love it. Hope you all have a nice trip in Taiwan, and maby one day you can go to taipei for different travel. Best regards.
Oh thank you so much to you and your wife Kevin 🤗🙏🏼🙏🏼 we really appreciate your support. We have been having a great time in Taiwan and love making videos here. We will go to Taipei towards the middle of July normally 😊
As a Taiwanese American (born and raised in the U.S.), you are just fantastic ambassadors for Taiwan. I've been following you and watching you two ever since you arrived in Taiwan. I still have relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins) and friends in Taiwan, but mostly in Taipei, Taichung and Yilan County, so watching your videos really makes me appreciate what else to see outside of those areas. I've thought about maybe working and definitely partially semi-retiring in the future in Taiwan, but you're right, the summer is way too hot and humid! I still need to get around to sharing all of your Taiwan video links to my Taiwanese and Taiwanese American friends. BTW, some of your drone footage in this and other videos are really fantastic.
You guys are really awesome. The scenery through your camera is sooo amazingly beautiful. The green fields of rice, the scattered sun beams pouring down through clouds and the distant mountain range in the background with the blue sky in contrast, everything so perfectly shot.
i was a volunteered in taiwan for half a year and i recognised so many places you have showned ! I agree Taiwan is weirdly underrated especially for english and on my case french teacher. Fine by me, will move there next year after my degree 🌼 Such a pretty place with amazingly nice people
I really want cry 😭😭😭 how so beautiful. so exciting .. Thanks Naick &Kim shared us..Wonderful ...Sky mountains farmland😘 I so miss and want go to..Wish can meet both of you🎉🎉🎉
You guys video make me cry... As a taiwanese, I think we are not really famous in the world, is underrated. But also compare others countries like Thailand , Philippines ...etc , not so popular, maybe is the language. In Taiwan you leave big city, then not much people can speak English, so traveller are scared about this. Hope after you guys recommend, will more traveller wanna visit ! I really appreciate you guys like Taiwan ♥️ Taiwan is small, but is amazing. Thank you!
Your video clips are great, and the background music is also well matched. Every time I watch your video, I feel that there is a magical power, so I can watch it many many times.😂
Two places to avoid the excruciating summer heat in Taiwan: 1. Go to Taipei, where all the air conditionings are, or 2. Go to the mountains. The temperature drops 6 degree Celsius every 1000m. You can reach Hehuanshan (a high-altitude scenic route) or Qingjing farm (a popular mountain retreat) via Taroko National Park. Make sure there is no typhoon in sight should you decide to visit the mountains though.
