I ordered direct from Takeya...it was shipped the slowest possible way (to Utah), and it took 12 days. And it took them two days to ship, so two weeks total. And if they do answer emails then at least they're VERY slow at that too.

I haven't bought one yet, but can the rubber on the bottom of the bottle be removed?

Yes, the silicone bumper on the bottom of the bottle is removable.

I love this water bottle! The only thing I struggle with is cleaning the lid. After a while it begins to smell. Would love a video explaining the best way to clean your bottle to prevent this.

So happy to hear you are loving your Takeya water bottle! To thoroughly clean the lid, we recommend removing the silicone o-rings and cleaning all pieces in warm water with some white vinegar and a mild dish soap. Use a sponge or bottle brush to clean, rinse and then dry. We will definitely work on putting together a cleaning video. Thanks for the recommendation!

Hi Steve! So glad you are loving your Takeya bottle! Yes, the silicone o-rings can be purchased on our website. It's good to replace them (or at least clean them) from time to time. Just make sure you purchase the set that goes with your bottle.
