Quizlet contributor Rory Yakubov has been using Quizlet for four years. She started out with the free account and upgraded to the paid teacher account a year later. In this video, she demonstrates the benefits of upgrading.
No ads: The paid Quizlet teacher account provides the user an ad-free space, which means you can concentrate on making study sets and tracking student progress without distraction.
Use your own images: With the paid Quizlet teacher account, you can upload your own images to illustrate your study sets. This is great for math teachers who need to show students graphs, tables, or complicated problems. History teachers may want to include timelines, maps, and art. And science teachers will find it useful for including diagrams. When you have a free account, you can use images that are already included in an existing set that you are adapting, but you cannot upload your own.
Track student progress: The teacher account allows educators to track student progress across study sets. Rory creates Quizlet classes for each of her school classes. Then she can simply click into a study set that she sent to her class and select the “view class progress” option. This allows her to see at a glance who has attempted or completed various study modes. Hovering over the icons brings up information about when the student last attempted the set and, if they did Test mode, what their best score was.
This option is only available through the paid account.
Extra Quizlet live features: The paid teacher account gives you additional Quizlet Live options. You can choose whether your study set’s terms or definitions are shown to students. Play with problem and all the answer choices underneath, or in reverse, where the answer is shown and students have to select the right question.
