This is Final Fantasy Tactics: JOURNEY OF THE 5!
This fan hack tells a story exactly one year after the base game, with an older Ramza hiding out. He is quickly joined by Cloud Strife, but also Link, Solid Snake and Dante from Devil May Cry! Lots of new plot and cutscenes, plus every one of them has their own job to level up and get new skills in! It's a seriously impressive fan made effort with some cool new enemies and tough battles!

That Romar battle starting with the Assassinate and ending with the Counter Deathblow was just such a delight. I was initially worried the Ice Arrow would make the game feel cheesy to watch, but surprisingly, I find myself not minding it at all. If anything, it feels a little more fun to watch the battles play out knowing that Link is basically a walking tactical nuke in most battles. Nobody tell Snake that Link turned out to be the real Metal Gear all along.

At ~15:30 that isn't accuracy that is weapon evasion. The number to the right of the weapon's attack power is the evasion stat of the weapon itself. The wide edge gives 15% evasion.

I was rewatching his Rebirth mod playthrough of this the other day, and he did it the whole way through that time, also. Which is odd, because I'm sure he's said it correctly before. Maybe during the 1.3 hard mod playthrough?

@@DanielMWJ I'm not expert at the game, so I did not know that the evasion boost from weapons only applied if you had Weapon Guard equipped. I just assumed Weapon Guard doubled the value, or something.

The power of cheese faulters in projareds hands, as he learns it is not infallible against story protagonists. drawing forth his power of luck he strikes down the current protagonist with a crit deathblow. resuming his quest the power of cheese carries him though bomb infested forest and to the next piece of plot.

It Is. The weird thing Is that the bug Is still active and working every fight. The more I see it, the more I believe he edited the damage formula himself because I cannot replicate the bug, my ice arrows deal around 40 DMG lol Or.. He is actually playing a very old version of this mod where arrows were known to cause weird stuff.

@@arsenicaleneo5872The bug is related to the emulator. Certain emulators handle the code a bit differently - the Ice Arrow formula is known to bug like this if so.

The fights should be scaled to at least 5 people. But yeah Snake's assassination at the start was a huge boost in moral up until the ice arrow was removed from the battle.

Overkill strategy with Link fails so you just have Cloud cleave Romar in half with Deathblow

Am I misremembering how the % works in weapon power, or did the mod change it? He keeps saying accuracy, but I could have sworn that % was only used for the weapon guard reaction ability to increase your evade chance.

The fights with the guest characters had a party limit of 4 and Dante's the least useful of the 5, though before this episode I could make an argument for Cloud being in that slot instead.

I won't be replacing the sprites in ReMixed, but it's easy enough to do! If you get Jot5 and the Shishi tool, you can export Jot5's sprites (take note of what Type they are set to) and then import them into ReMixed (as the correct Type).

@@Nyzer_ I'd have to look up a guide on how to do something like that, at best when it comes to these Hacks, I've only ever really applied Patches to the Roms, I'm sure the method for this isn't difficult, I just haven't ever done it before.
