Stop, he never was stated as innocent. The court accepted the agreement with the plaintiff and the huge fine paid to the government and officially announced that “the court does not make judgments regarding guilt or innocence”. So it’s the legal way for rich ppl in Germany to get out of problems. Everyone saves face. The prosecutor can be proud that he raised money, taxes and recognition. The plaintiff receives good compensation, the defendant avoids other types of liability. But it never gets as far as “innocent”. To get this badge he had to go all the way, that he obviously couldn’t.

@@Tennis214 Yeah, that’s what I wrote. Accusations from which you can pay your way. We all know how it works. If the charges were so unfounded, it would not have been difficult to go through the entire process and then proudly say, "I am not guilty." But if the charges were weak (if he hadn't done what was described or if there were no evidence) the prosecutor in Germany wouldn't have pursued it. Especially in Germany.

The way I read the statement, dropping the case means the presumption of innocence remains. Legal team states, "Zverev is considered innocent." German law different in this way compared to American or Canadian law, where we would describe Zverev as "not guilty."

@@TennCom Of course, Zverev’s lawyers will argue that this means his innocence, as he himself already said in an interview. It would be strange if they said otherwise. However, the reality is that the court did NOT consider the issue of guilt or innocence. Therefore, he cannot be called innocent, nor can he be called guilty. If he wanted to be called innocent, he could go through the trial and receive a court decision “not guilty.” But he could not do this.

She lost three games more against all her other opponents combined than to Osaka alone. It was a shame Osaka was in Iga's side of the bracket.

The man's semis and finals where just so so matches, both Alcaraz. Jamnik, zverev seemed injured and really body tired and so technically just not playing on their highest level. Plus Djoko was out. Zverev is also not a cool guy to follow... So not fully agree with you. But Świątek road to championship was amazing to follow and be a part of. Also to watch RUNE is my favourite player right now.

I must say I disagree with you on Zverev. Until the very end, finish line in sight, he was the calm for me. He just always knew he is more consistent and better player out there. Carlos was oscillating like crazy at times, but his highs are so high, noboby can touch him...

I disagree. Was pretty predictable for both the mens and womens sides. Also, terrible coverage for US based viewers and terrible highlights videos from the French open youtube channel. Probably the least I've watched a major in years.

No, it wasn't the best slam in years. The organisers shouldn't allowing late night matches on clay, let alone in the temperamental Paris spring. It's not good for the players or the spectators. And no French Open should be described as "the best grand slam" ever because of the stupidly obnoxious French spectators.
