They have destroyed my soul by any metric you ask for I am screwed. 28 rides per week at $5 average ain't cutting it. Full time. No it wasn't always this way. Believe it or not both apps are charging people as little as $5 for a ride quite frequently and almost always less than $10. Do you want to see proof ?

I'm curious how I would go about updating my driver license to right state since uber originally put in under Virginia and and I switched my license to Pennsylvania. The Bots they have with the scripted statements aren't helping.

vote against uber an lyfts ballot initiative an vote for workers rights. contact your local an state level polls an demand stuff like workers compensation, personal insurance, and the hardware. its disgusting that uber partnered up with hertz to "rent" the hardware, ie enslave people in the hole by 450 bucks per week, an pawn off the cost of insurance on the people. people who don't know any better. thats a class action lawsuit, an uber an lyft should have to pay back all rental fees like that. further, uber an lyft do not add that cost to the ride, so they are not only pawning it off on us, they are not charging for it. its busted an needs regulation. a driver for them should be getting 30 an hour, tips, benefits, an a reasonable schedule. why should uber an lyft get away with running the companies offshore, with a small team of managers an attorneys, an a scam bot farm that pays no attention to our needs and is only there to basically deactivate you. what happens if your hurt, get deactivated, or have a problem. you are at the mercy of some chat bot. that needs to change. the true cost of the ride needs to be addressed. we don't even get a mile or minute meter. we get gaslit with "a number of factors go into pricing your ride, including your distance, the ride length, y a da da da". A ride should be about 1 dollar a minute, cumulative, an 3 bucks a mile. Tolls. They lie about tolls being reimbursed. its actually what they show you as your fare. but they reduced the fare by the amount of the tolls. I could go on an on. wake up an be active. call as many politicians an give them your piece of mind. I am sick of providing rides for the needy who have bad attitudes, don't tip, an negatively rate because the sun wasnt out that day. We should also have hardware that has a barrier like a cab. amen.

- Vote against Uber and Lyft's ballot initiative and vote for workers' rights. Contact your local and state-level representatives and demand provisions like workers' compensation, personal insurance, and necessary hardware. It's concerning that Uber partnered with Hertz to "rent" the hardware, effectively trapping drivers in a $450 per week cycle and passing insurance costs onto them. This targets people who might not fully understand the implications. This situation warrants a class action lawsuit, and Uber and Lyft should be required to refund all such rental fees. Additionally, Uber and Lyft do not include these costs in the ride fares, which means they are not only shifting the financial burden onto drivers but also failing to charge riders appropriately. This system is flawed and needs regulation. Drivers should earn $30 an hour, plus tips, benefits, and a reasonable schedule. Why should Uber and Lyft get away with operating offshore, managed by a small team of executives and attorneys, with a bot farm that ignores drivers' needs and primarily serves to deactivate accounts? What happens if you get hurt, deactivated, or have an issue? You are at the mercy of an impersonal chat bot. This needs to change. The true cost of rides needs to be transparent. Drivers don't even receive a mile or minute meter. Instead, they are misled with vague explanations like "a number of factors go into pricing your ride, including your distance, ride length, etc." A ride should cost approximately $1 per minute, cumulative, and $3 per mile. Regarding tolls, Uber and Lyft misrepresent toll reimbursement as part of the fare, but they actually reduce the fare by the toll amount. It's time to wake up and take action. Call as many politicians as possible and share your perspective. I am tired of providing rides for unappreciative passengers who don't tip and rate negatively due to trivial reasons. We should also have hardware that includes a barrier, like in traditional cabs. Please stop deleting my comment. ---

Im voting for workers rights. Not for lyft and uber. Markets gonna get fixed. Also state legislature may preempt the ballot, which is funded by none other than uber and lyft. I am personally requesting access to the 100k signatures. Which, I live in Massachusetts and not once have I seen evidence of a grassroots effort to collect them. Not once. The ballot process in Massachusetts isn’t for cheap companies who want their way, it was intended for grassroots movements.

You are blatantly advocating for the rideshare companies. Im more then put off. They are some of the most predatory companies in existence and its time to force them to provide the hardware, wc, pi, pto, sick time, and obey the law, like every other company in Massachusetts. How much were you paid? 😂
