I remember the night in my kitchen watching this for the first time. There wasn’t much I’d seen in the genre that made me excited to see what’s coming out next. Then I turned this on and it was like being hypnotized for 2 hours. The bleak winter, the blackness of the blood, the music, how the story unfolded, the lit boiler, the heads, everything. I laughed at one point because I was so thankful I’d found something like this movie. Not an equation to make money. A canvas of bleak winter horror that Oz put everything into and you can feel it. He could’ve stopped after this film and been an accomplished filmmaker worthy of praise.
This movie was absolutely amazing. It's unsettling, edgy, dark, disturbing some scenes. The story makes sense if you grasp the timelines. I really enjoyed it.
