She is not being overlooked. It is a deliberate choice by the parents of Isla Johnson to avoid the spotlight or be on social media at this time. It's not a healthy place for children. It's the reason why she has not even been interviewed on daytime talk shows.

The Queen's Gambit is just an incredible limited series show. Hands down one of the best TV shows in past two years, topping even high-budgeted cinematic rivals. Props to Walter Tevis, the writer of the original book (1983) which the show is draws inspiration from. The director/screenwriter Scott Frank has made a name for himself with this work. So bravo to these behind the curtain talents. Last but not least, the memorable performance of Anya Taylor-Joy as Beth. Her on screen charm has left an indelible mark in countless viewers including myself.

I enjoyed the miniseries so much I bought the original book to compare. I'm also an avid chess player so I was interested to know whether the chess games on TV were authentic. There are many differences between book and show. The show is much more dramatized and enjoyable than the book. All the actors were outstanding in their performance. This is the best show since my last favourite, Lord of the Rings (yes, I read the books too.)😁

He played the archbishop of Piza, ally of the Pazzi in the medici, during the time of Lorenzo, not Cosimo, who was played by Richard Madden. There was more than one actor and one character featured.

@@RBCharger ...Everyone has fat, It is a part of human biology... it is extremly needed. As someone that has been trying to put on weight for the last 2 years I get cold and tired so quickly because I have no reserved energy, for people that have very little fat it is dangerous to get sick because the body needs more energy to battle the sickness and also people tend to eat less and puke. So fat shaming is completly idiotic and instead people should be positive and focus on trying to live better because fitter or thinner doesnt always mean healthier.

I agree, wholeheartedly. Declaring that Harry Melling had to lose weight to achieve professional success was vaguely disturbing and presenting the correlation as an irrefutable fact cemented the creep factor of the comment. It was simply unnecessary, added no value to the overall video, and as you said-was condescending. While it’s true that Hollywood and Society in general is fat-phobic to this day, being thin for an actor is not the necessity it once was. Anyhoo, the single sentence felt cruel, useless, and took me out of the moment-I was mildly enjoying it up until then.

in order for Harry Melling to elevate his career he had to remove his restrictions holding him back from doing so as the better paying contracts in the industry require you to be within a certain weight limit which is extremely common even for amateur roles. Chances are, if you're overweight you won't get shined upon unless a director is specifically looking for over-weight actors to be their protagonist, otherwise, you're extremely limited. It's the real world people, what she said was the truth and Harry Melling was smart to lose weight & have a couple more zeros in his paycheck in exchange.

Great vid, but you made a mistake. You confused Jacob Fortune Lloyd with Richard Madden. Richard Madden and Jacob Fortune Lloyd played in “I Medici”, But it was Madden that was Rob Stark in GOT. However Madden was not in Queen’s Gambit. That was Jacob Fortune Lloyd. I don’t even see the resemblance. IMO

I actually watched Queen's Gambit when I knew Anya Taylor Joy and Thomas Brodie Sangster would be in it. Both actors are two of my favorites since I've watched multiple movies that they starred in, and after watching the series, I've loved them even more that I even watched some of their movies back again. They, and the rest of the cast, did so well, and I love the show so much, it's become one of my favorite Netflix series🥰 Although I'm quite sad it's a limited series (even though I know the series couldn't have ended with a much more perfect ending), I hope I could see Anya Taylor Joy and Thomas Brodie again together, I love their chemistry🥰💕 For people who are still thinking if you should watch this show, don't think twice and go watch it now, it is truly worth your time😊
