In the Comics the Stones are parts of the sentient being Nemesis. Tired of her existence she forced herself to shatter into what we know as the Infinity Stones/Gems. There's also a seventh stone that brings all the other stones together. I believe it was called the Ego Stone. If the Eternals continues Nemesis, the Ego Stone, or the Infinity Stones could return in future phases. Though I believe Marvel/Disney doesn't want to go back that route lol. Eternal Sercy could be the reincarnation of Nemesis.

According to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's explanation of things, four cosmic entities exist that predate the universe and thus were involved in creating the Infinity Stones at the time of the Big Bang. These four cosmic entities are revealed to be Death, Entropy, Infinity, and Eternity, so i dont think Celestials were involved in the making of the stones but i am not 100% sure so you could be right, hopefully Marvel will explain things further.
@neospock5034
@neospock5034 2 года назад
The Celestials also predate the current universe in the comics. They are much older than the 4 cosmic entities you mentioned, who (like Galactus) predate only the current iteration of the universe, which is the seventh. The Celestials date back to the first one, and are the oldest entities which still exist, since the Apsirants are all gone. Now granted that's the comics, the MCU may decide to make the Celestials less ancient than Infinity, Eternity, Entropy and death. We'll have to see if that's the case, and if they had any role in creating the stones.

My theory is better. The stones were utilized by the celestials. They used them for billions of years, allowing them to understand how each atom in each stone worked. So they essentially learned the stones therfore not needing them anymore which is why when Thanos took them they didn't give a crap. They are essentially the embodiment of the stones now due to using them for billions of years. My theory leaves in tact the lore, leaves the stones true creator unknown, and ups the ante of their historic importance in the MCU. What do you think?

Maybe the reason why the Celestial did not use the stones anymore is because it has something to do with the intervention of the gods. Arishem made the first mistake to let loose the Deviants and the second mistake is possibly when gods evolved so powerful enough to harness the Infinity stones and began their conquest. The gods may have bargained (threatened) the Celestials not to annihilate them, the same thing that Doctor Strange did with Dormammu when he had the Time stone. The gods collecting the stones could've caused for more powerful entities to intervene and judge whether to exterminate them to make sure they won't distort the reality and rebel them or let them go as gods don't have that intention in the first place allowing them to have some place and dominion over the universe. This would also make the gods to be aware that there are hierarchies of powerful entities that exist beyond and so they have to respect the system, proven in the Thor's third movie trailer where there were golden statues of them in a mysterious place where Jane went. Ofc, the Infinity stones may be too powerful for the Celestials especially when some of them would use it against each other that they have to scattered and abandon it so it won't be used other than formulating methods to birth more of their kind. Or there was an 'entity' so powerful that it could 'kill' a Celestial and thus their system was shattered, the Infinity stones were scattered, and they are doing now doing on their own since then like Arishem monitoring the Celestial seeds, Ego expanding his own, Eson annihilated a planet for some reason, and even an unknown Celestial doing a secret business with Starfox hinted in the Eternals movie.

many things bring up the questions like "IS it possible someone is able to use the infinity stones to add life or transplant a celestial somewhere else and give it enough power to grow or hatch?" or can people use the infinity stones to provide more like or creations in the universe to AID the growth like the celestials? or can someone fight null with the infinity stones? or what about the department of time that has LOTS of infinity stones ... could they go there and with LOTS of versions of infinity stones gathered together could they use that to work on a galactic universal scale and fight Null or Galactius ? could they use the infinity stones to AID thanos and make him a hero instead of villian ... in other change him so he fights for life and find another way to help life grow. Like use the soul stone to change him fundamentally or help make thanos a real celestial on the side of all the lesser life forms. how about it??? what about the watchers / celestials / and the infinity stones used all against null is it possible to get others involved?

Nemesis was originally the sole being in all of existence.[2] Out of loneliness, this cosmic being took part of itself and gave it independent life; however, because the entity didn't know good nor evil, and thus didn't will its creations to be good, they turned out to be evil. Displeased with its creations, the entity destroyed them.[3] The entity ultimately chose to put an end to itself due to its loneliness, forming the Infinity Gems and most of reality.[2] The cosmic being's death also brought its creations, the demon horde, back into existence.[3] When the gems were transported into the Ultraverse, along with several heroes and villains, Adam Warlock pursued them. In that new reality, a seventh gem called the Ego Gem, which had been lost, was found. Once the gems were reunited, they brought back the entity whose death had created them: Nemesis. This what Marvel comics says, not the MCU director. They change crap up all the time.

There's a simple answer. The Infinity stones don't work like most people say. This also shows why events like the snap aren't instant as that energy has to travel. Also one stone rules over all others, the Death Stone lol #7thstone

The infinity stones are always changing in origin to suit the writers needs at the time they’re used in whatever capacity. If I wrote their origin story, they’d be written as a reference to the standard creation model of the university, each of the six standing in for a day of creation from Space (day one) through the Soul (day six) and be aspects of the One Above All incarnate and act as pillars of existence, retconning Thanos using the stones to destroy the stones as them merely returning to the One Above All before being reborn in the universe again as they cannot be destroyed and each universe’s stones acting as a quantum variation of the others, with them only really being of use to beings under the scope of power of reality shaping, creation and annihilation the likes of Celestials, et al. I would use this as the premise for Galactus rising in the Fantastic Four film if I were writing it. I’d make it so that Reed and company had been in New York studying things behind the scenes from the very beginning but because they were as of yet unpowered, they simply acted as observers of the unfolding events with the use of the stones four times in such short sequence creating something of a scar in the fabric of space-time which he later dubs the Negative Zone, and when they go to investigate it, the accident which gives them their powers happen. And as a result of Thanos using the stones to destroy the stones, the world where he retired has its Celestial be born around the same time in a post-credit scene as Galactus emerges, a corrupted Celestial in this reimagining who must devour worlds to curb his infinite appetite, setting up the stage for a later crossover film. The first movie would likely be a little be more mellow, dealing with them learning to use their powers and dealing with a villain like the Mole Man who turns to evil after Reed and company beat him to the punch with regards to the Negative Zone, and in another post credit scene, we learn Doom was the backer behind Mole Man as he wanted to undo America from the inside for its role in ruining Latveria, now relocated to the Middle East as an analogue to Afghanistan, and Doom himself analogue for the modern despot like Putin or something like that, a background figure for the story until the sequel when the First Family go to Latveria on a mission of peace to aid the people taking an indie route in what’s been otherwise an international debacle between the US and Latveria and since having gained their powers, they naively dive in head first thinking they can do good but their short sighted attempt is used by Doom to essentially start a World War. It’s a rough idea I’m throwing out here but it essentially links to the stones by virtue of their “destruction” birthing Galactus and the Negative Zone, giving the First Family their powers indirectly and opening the way for Doom to become something of a central villain to the mythos going forward as he rises from all powerful dictators to all power super villain, his own work into stones leading him to develop this version of all his powers and abilities and establishing him as an agent of hubris and establishing his ethos as something of a noble fiend.

The Infinity stones/gems don't predate the Celestials, even in the comics. The comic book Celestials predate not only this universe, but several other iterations. In contrast, Galactus predates the current universe but the Celestials were around long before the universe formed in which he was a scientist named Galan. The Celestials are the oldest entities which still exist, they were created by the First Firmament at the same time as the Aspirants. The MCU might choose to change a lot of that history in the movie universe sure- but the Celestials existing before the stones isn't a change, that actually matches the comics.

@@ILoveCompany In the Guardian's of the Galaxy when the Collector was explaining the Infinity Stones he said in the beginning of time before the dawn of CREATION there existed six singularities, try to guess what those singularities were, and nowhere in the Eternals did they say the Celestials existed before the Stone's let alone that Arishem created the Big Bang. It said they created sun's.

I don't know, ..Why celestials have to plant a seed in a planet and wait for thousands of years for the intelligent life to evolve to each potential until a new celestial will be born and will create another galaxy. Can't they just use the Infinity stones "they created" and snap a finger to create another universe with potential evolutions?

The answer for all these questions is that the creators of all these movies didn't start with the Eternals but with Iron Man. Why not ask the writers of the comic books about all this?

The comics and MCU are different universes with different lore. The comic book writers can definitively answer how things work in the comics, but the movies are a different reality that often doesn't follow those comics.

Didn't Nemesis created the 7th infinite stones? Marvel needs to get their shit together cause it's to give explanation to a lot of stuff happening on marvel comic stories. And the celestials are actually older than eternity, death and infinity. The first firmament gave birth to eternity. A weird way to say it, but it's true. The only Cosmic entity's who predate the infinity stones are TOAA/Toba, the first firmament, oblivion and the Phoenix Force. But once again, Nemesis created them so idk why are they changing it. The Nemesis story is way more entertaining. The celestials are literally the ones who created everything in existence now? They are the reason why the beyonders even exist. Well now I know why the Phoenix didn't interfere with anything. It's literally life at its fullest.

I don't believe that the stones are created by the celestials they are way to powerful that's why I think they have been created by some entities such as in the comics simply because have the stones you can control the universe and even stop the celestials with the IG so this theory is hardly accurate to me.

That's a possibility in the MCU, but in the comics the Celestials are older (by far) than the Infinity stones. In the comics the Celestials pre-date not only the current universe, but multiple other cycles of the universe being created and destroyed. So we can't dismiss the Celestials so quickly, they might be treated similarly in the MCU.

The Infinity Stones were created by the Big Bang, which brought to life Death, Eternity, Infinity, and other cosmic beings. Meaning that the Infinity Stones were made by the Universe itself being brought to life. Emergency Awesome, a much more reliable source, also confirmed that Arishem the Judge was lying when he said that the Celestials were created before the Big Bang. Arishem already lied about lots in Eternals, about the Eternals existence themselves, the Deviants and their purpose and the hierarchy between them. So, hes an unreliable narrator. I mean, it's a fun theory. But the Celestials definitely didn't create the Infinity Stones. The other Cosmic Beings didnt even create them, they are physical representations of the Universe itself.
@neospock5034
@neospock5034 2 года назад
In the comics the Celestials do predate the big bang. They are the oldest entities who still exist, created by the First Firmament (the very first iteration of the universe, of which the current universe is the seventh). In comparison, Galactus hails from the sixth iteration. And in the Eternals movie, it wasn't Arishem who said the Celestials predated the big bang and infinity stones. The text crawl at the beginning of the film wasn't Arishem or any other in-universe character narrating. That history was simply presented as factual information direct from Marvel Studios. It's not like the opening of Black Panther, where the history of Wakanda the audience hears (calling vibranium the strongest substance in the universe) is folklore recited by N'Jobu to his son. That story reflected the beliefs of his Wakandan ancestors, who had never traveled beyond Earth and therefore didn't know about stronger substances (like Uru and the unnamed metal of Thanos' sword) which existed on other planets.

My hypothesis is that galactus is the real prime celestial, however arishem, the next celestial that was created by galactus out of thin air no plants getting destroyed to create him, anyways arishem created the infinity stones (the Big Bang) to destroy galactus causing the universe or multiverse and in caging galactus forever since galactus was too strong, but galactus will come back, and as mad as he is, he will fight his own kind for using the infinity stones to imprision galactus

Not a bad theory, lots of holes but interesting. Galactus is from the previous incarnation of the universe so possible... To weave in To destroy him though, destroy why? Hmm ... He did survive outside of space time so that's possible I guess... Though idk of anyone else of galactus kind surviving with him still.

Interesting idea, maybe the MCU will work Galactus into the origin somehow, However in the comics the Celestials are much older than Galactus. He predates the current universe, they predate multiple incarnations of the universe, and were created during the first one.
