Nice analogy. All coaches watch and evaluate the first half then make adjustments for the second half. Reid and Spags are in a league all their own at this. Everyone else has to sit and watch movies and have meetings for a week to get a plan this good. The way they worked the clock and aggressiveness of the 49 defense against themselves the last quarter was a masterpiece. The way the game got real dirty in the last quarter was part from 49ers hitting Mahomes in the throat after the play was over in the first half and the rest was to pull and keep the 49ers out of their rhythm/focus and provoke penalties. It is artistry.
(6-0) w a depleted WR room!! Incredible defense, hard nosed smash mouth run game and QB that right now is not playing great due to depleted WR room but at his worst still makes one or two clutch back breaking plays!! If at minimum the turnovers stop, this team is damn near inevitable and unstoppable with elite defense, smash mouth run game with Hunt & eventually Pacheco again w Mahomes being the best game manager making timely clutch plays & some throws & w no turnovers eventually cause they rarely punt having 3rd fewest punts, 2nd positive EPA, 1st in run efficiency & Mahomes doesn't get sacked. Has to be infuriating for AFC & NFL in general that Chiefs are undefeated w infirmary on offense at WR & turning it over each game thus far.
I was worried about Hunt bashing away the last quarter getting hit 2,3 or 4 times a run. Every time he got up slow I said "this is not good.... hope he's OK". Hunt's first two games were over 20 carries each like a jackhammer. I love Pacheco but he has never done that many carries back to back.
FINALLY!!!! Someone brought up all the cheap shots and no calls by refs!!! THANK YOU SIR!!! Both teams were down personnel but the chiefs were down more longer... IJS
From a new subscriber to your channel, I really enjoyed your commentary. It made the game exciting to watch and I subscribed because you’re amazing. Keep up the good work and the great content.
Loved this BJ. If anything, this is just missing a light tune in the background, but other than that I enjoyed the watch. Thank you and your team for the constant hard work you guys and gals do for us Chiefs fans.
I am so sick of the people down on Patrick. "He is not playing well, worst career year so far, I interceptions to touchdowns, the defense is carrying them." They talk about the many injuries SF has, but we are down so many great players as well. When you anticipate the season at training camp and have things set, then the injuries pile up. You have to be resilient and make drastic personnel changes, and they are still winning. It is not all flash and fireworks. If it wasn't for Patrick and his leadership and talent, we would not be where we are. I am just glad he doesn't listen to all the criticism and negative comments. Then you add Coach Ried, Spags, Toub, Nagy, and the rest of the coaches who have had to do a 360 with all the injuries. The guys on the team have so much respect for each, as well as the coaches and the organization. They believe in each other. It is just a different mindset with the Chiefs, and it starts with Patrick, who is so amazing. I have always known he was a special person, but when I watched the Quarterback series on Netflix, I gained more insight into what makes him so very special. His work ethic is out of this world. I am grateful he is our quarterback in this time and place in history❤❤❤
And another thing, Mahomes didn’t deliberately step on Mustafa’s chest. He was tackled and Mustafa was holding on to Mahome’s foot…(let me kiss your foot oh god of all QBs is more likely the real deal!) 😂😂😂
I am trying to find the foul on Worthy and I just don't see it. Maybe the angle is bad and maybe he was pushed down, but the angle here is not good enough to see. It kinds looks like Worth ftripped.
On 2 plays KC got Pi when the DBs had established themselves and the 9ers WRs ran into them. One should have been offensive Pi . So when they get in the way of a Chiefs WR and it’s a no call it seems suspicious
3:49 Comer on.... The WR was wide open. Even if the QB and WR were on a different page, the WR was wide open and PUrdy threw it to the KC defender. Let's not go acting like he "ran the route better than the receiver". The truth is that the WR was wide open and the KC defender is entirely to blame for that. The subsequent interception was just lucky.
Stop acting like people are wrong to bash Skyy Moore. The dude is trash and not an NFL caliber player. It wouldn't be a bad miss, except Veach seems unable to move on for whatever reason. I say whatever reason, because it cannot be his on-field play. He drops almost every pass, and cannot catch a punt or kickoff. He blocks. So what. We literally have a player on the practice squad that outperformed Moore in the preseason, and its baffling as to why Moore is still getting snaps. Moore is the new Sorensen/Niemann, only much worse.
I trust Veach on a lot of things, but this Skyy Moore project has me flummoxed. Remmigio, Ross, Fortson any of these guys chilling on the practice squad know the playbook and offer more than Skyy does.
great analysis and video! Precious few QB's could accomplish success with this depleted receiver core and weak offensive tackles offense. This to me proves the greatness of Mahomes & Co.
