The film is visually spectacular and it's definitely the best (visually and technically) blockbuster of the year. But the script also focuses on a very contemporary discussion regarding the benefits vs dangers of AI, and speaks of what it is to be human, the sentient machines and the USA's penchant to military interfere globally and act as if they are the police of the world, often considering other cultures as less relevant. The film has a lot of heart and makes brave choices which aren't usual at all in this film genre, especially when produced in Hollywood. The ending is poignant and had an emotional impact on me. It's one of the best sci fi movies of recent years IMO.
I would love to see more stories from this film, or even an anime as i got serious live action anime vibes. if not at least an extended cut would be cool
Honestly I think NOMAD resemble Death Star in his Rogue One movie. Not said that it's a bad thing, but that one particular aspect on movie that I cannot ignored. Love this movie very much!
I gave this movie a 10/10 lol. I’m still feeling heartbroken after the ending of the creator. This movie dethroned my top movie of all time and i was not expecting that. Glad I got to see this in theaters and I might go again next week! 😁
Oscar worthy buzz for the brilliant young actress who played Alphie! Hope Madeleine gets the recognition she deserves for her incredible debut performance in this film!
Just got back from seeing it on IMAX and it was a great experience. The audio visual effects alone are so damn good. It threw more emotional punches at me than I expected. Hopefully this gets lots of support because we need more great stand alone movies and a break from remakes, IP stuff and tired franchises.
I agree Zach, brilliant film 🎥 I can't believe they pulled this off on a $80 million budget it looks incredible. More Original Films like this sign me up.
The best movie I've seen this year. Pretty much nonstop suspense. It could have forced in a ton of exposition, but just -- didn't. And the film is stronger for it. Debate the humanity of robots with your friend or partner afterwards.
Thanks for your review, i’ve heard mixed feelings overall on this but certainly looking forward to checking out with my own opinion. I’m not crazy about the directors films but I do enjoy JDW as an actor
I don't get the people that a criticising it for not making them cry..... Like you don't have to cry in every film, Its okay to be sad and not cry. I didn't cry to star wars, it doesn't make it a bad film
@@ZachPopeReviewsjust watched it. Pretty good film, didn't blow me away like I expected. Definitely one of the best so far this year Ending felt rushed to me Spoilers: Why did alphie drag robot Maya to the garden area to put in flash drive and not in the Ai research center where she found it?
maybe is a bit agnostic for some cause humans with battery like no need for skin breath , could mean total destruction , some could talk about ppl with data card so they might be agnostics , also fck the police is against asia living with grandma , mother , sister , wife and play arena fps , isnot against any idea of government! thx for talking well about it.
I give it a C- 1. Too much fightings, blowing up stuffs, too much action. 2. Tried too hard to make it into a love story. 3. The world doesn't need anymore movies with black/ white dating an Asian woman. Why not an Asian man dating white/black woman ?
Its its own thing, but It has the potential to be a big cinematic universe for sure. kind of like watching a new hope for the first time, leaves it open and i am desperate to see more!
