Why The DC Extended Universe FAILED

Really good video

Despite the fate of this shared universe I thoroughly enjoyed it. Particularly MOS, BvS, Justice league (Synder cut) Aquaman, Wonder Woman. The casting was great because every actor brought legitimacy to the role. The action sequences were deft, had weight and gravitas. One thing these movies got right were stakes. There was a sense of dread which in turn creates suspense. Production value was high, set design, costumes, set pieces felt tangible and visually arresting. These movies may not be the best or greatest superhero films but we’re entertaining and engrossing nonetheless. The DCEU served its purpose, I got my moneys worth.

It’s interesting how just about every decision the studio made was a bad one. You think they would have gotten their act together eventually, but I guess they weren’t component enough to discern what worked and what didn’t. Also, glad I’m not the only one who thought Wonder Woman wasn’t that great 😭

I’m a dc comics fan and hack snyder movies are betrayals to dc and it’s universe.
