In Season 7, they literally talk a villain out of doing bad things by saying they are doing bad things and wave them goodbye. Literally.

One of the big problem with superhero shows like flash is that every episode is the same.. basically a lame ass villian flash cannot defeat him then his team tells him how to do it.. then he defeats the villain and happy ending

Something that annoys me about the episodes where Barry temporarily loses his powers is that in other actual well written superhero shows the power loss is used to show how they'll solve a problem without their powers and explore whether they're a hero with or without their powers or nothing without them. But whenever Barry loses his powers he doesn't try to sort things out without them. Just goes "Must get powers back" showing he'd be useless without them. Well written shows have it so that the hero can do good powerless or powered whereas badly written ones like Flash have their heroes angst about how they're nothing without powers.

You cant blame the actors for the show not being good because there are some really good actors who try to be good but the writing makes it hard for them to show their skills.

Tom Cavanogh is my favorite part of the show. He does amazing with Eobard Thawne's character and is just more interesting to watch

My one friend was complaining to me because Barry, in the Flash, has been acting un-Barrylike as of late. He's been willing to do borderline questionable things and shown a slight bend in his ethics. Then in the most recent episode he put someone in a box(basically) with no discussion or thought. So I countered by saying "What if he's Thawne in disguise?" *mic drop*

The problem is every 5 minutes they have to go in to the hallway to have some deep psuedo philosophical conversation

The only consistent thing about the show is that each episode he gets faster oh wait…

There’s a great video called “The Flash Is Insufferably Inconsistent” that shows that the Flash has been pretty garbage since the beginning, particularly in regards to the action scenes.

I think it's funny how you mentioned specifically the first two seasons, because in my opinion as well those were truly where the show was great but after that not so much.

My family watched this show and I only kinda paid attention during the 1st and 2nd seasons. They were alright but the one thing that really bugged me was Iris and Barry being raised together and called siblings multiple times. I haven’t read or watched anything else about Flash so I might just be uninformed but it weirded me out.

the reason i stopped watching it is because i liked season 1 and 2 for mainly being focused on Barry but in the later seasons it basically says yea the flash is there but look at Iris go and lets forget what the show is named after the flash not pepper spray Iris

Cisco is the only character I actually enjoy in this series. He's dialogue seems the most natural, and bc he's pretty much a goofball most of the time his jokes don't seem so out of place. The rest are trash though

You haven't even touched on how Flash's daughter overstayed her welcome and we know that's not how time works. If you stay too long in a timeline that's not yours you could bring trouble. But nooooo, she got an entire season there... lol

The one thing that i hated the most are the time travel team writers whose theories don't make any sense.

the key component that gives us that it is a cw show is: "can you guys give us a minute" then like 7-8 of them leave a really huge hall just so that the 2 people can talk like wtf who does that and even if they wanted to talk privately they should be the ones who leave not the others

Every episode of the flash: Someone gets pissed for some reason and walks out of the lab into the hallway Someone goes: “I got it” and follows then into the hallway and gives inspiring speech. Barry beats whatever villain of the episode and everyone’s fine

I believe The Flash will go to exactly 10 seasons... when Barry travels back in time to that night along with the reverse flash to fight each other, and Reverse flash kills Barry’s mother...or a plot twist.

At this point, I dont even know why i watch flash anymore. Writings gone very stale, the action which made flash kinda watchable earlier on are practically gone. Every episode Barry needs a new pep talk. Iris is still relevant for some reason. Wells and cisco are gone and instead of focusing on a established character like caitlin who has not actually received any character development from the beginning of the show, the try to focus on newer characters like Chester and allegra and fail miserably.

Barry isnt even the main character anymore. it seems like he loses his powers every season now and iris becomes the main character mine as well call the show Iris West.
