Why the Fujifilm XS20 & Sigma 56mm is a GAME CHANGER

I bought the sigma used. The af was a bit weird. I updated the firmware again and it becomes much better.

I have no issues with Focus with this lens, I used it for event photography too, as others said make sure firmware is upgraded to 1.01 or latest, you upgrade by using an SD-Card do not buy the Sigma hub it does not work for Fuji-X. I shoot with the Fuji X-T3 that has same sensor but older processor so should not be better than your X-S20. I generally use AFC with wide tracking mode almost exclusively now in single shot mode with this lens (and the sigma 23mm F/1.4) . keep up the good work, having honest commentary is good.

I think you have not the best settings in camera for AF with the X-S20. These blurry pictures in the beginning are not normal for this camera. First: Switch Boost On and forget it. Always on! Second: Switch to focuspriority for AF-S AND! AF-C. Third: Be sure, that AF+MF is Out! Otherwise you have a fallback to releasepriority, even if you have set to focuspriority before. Fourth: Use AF-C and Eye-AF instead of AF-S Fifth: If this is not enough, use AF-C Setting 2 instead of 1, if you have a difficult background.

turn off "eye auto" and use "eye left/right" . Or I would use more only "face " option .
