500 nords btfoed the snowelves. A few hundred yakudans cleansed every single elve from hammerfell. Shalidor and palinal both bested whole elven armys in single combat. There is no force the dominion could foster when the gods are on skyrims side, and no pledge to any imperial a way for salvation if they aren’t. The empire forsaken akatosh and thalos, they forsaken hammerfell and apparently forsaken skyrim. Bro the culture of the nords is like 1000x more worked over and better than the imperials, the viking style of the nords is also WAY cooler than the roman one of the empire.

Maybe I'm on the insane side, but I'd like to see TES6 where the Dominion has nearly won with High Rock and Hammerfell being the final holdouts. Lead up to a climactic set of events involving the Adamantine tower.
Titus can't light the dragonfires because the covenant between Akatosh and Alessia was broken. There were no more descendants of her blood Martin was the last one and broken the seal of thr covenant so Akatosh could banish Mehrunes Dagon back to Oblivion. Also people sided with Remen's emperor when the Remen Empire was dying and the only reason they outlawed Talos was so they can keep the Thalmor happy until the Empire is ready to fight them again. Most Imperials actually don't even care if you worship Talos, not even General Tullius cares as long as the Thalmor doesn't find out about it. They didn't ban the worship because they hated Talos, they did it to appease the Thalmor for a couple years until they go to war and hopefully win this time. Titus Mede did make some bad choices but he made those choices for the long term to hold back the Thalmor until the time is right.
