Real Jags fans know this. Ridley just isnt the same. He wasnt dynamic after the catch, at all. Ran the wrong routes all year long. He needed an extra game to barely break 1000 yards and that was mainly because Zay was out many games. We force fed him at times and he just wasnt reliable enough to be an alpha X. Hes a high end WR2 until he proves otherwise. 23 mil a year is insane for Ridley, we did the right thing. There was not very much interest for a 29 yo WR with suspension history. His exit allowed us to grab Armstead, an elite interior pass rusher at the 1st or 2nd weakest position of our team. Fantastic move and Id MUCH rather have dominant trenches, and more help for Allen and Trayvon than a WR who thinks hes an X but has always had 1 foot out the door. The drafts stacked with WR talent. Id like a versatile olinemen in the first like Powers, in case any starter goes down.....then someone like Malachi Corley or Adonai or Brian Thomas if available in the 2nd. That or move up in the first and grab Rome or Neighbors

Gabe is injury prone with no 1,000 yard season. Ridley had almost two years off and came back with 1,000 plus yard season.
