This is the best presentation by Avram. He consistently linked the messiah concept in Isaiah 11 to the Noah/Abrahamic/David dynasty. The regathering of Israel as a single nation was amazing. and indeed jaw breaking. I’ve been a Christian for over 60 years but have never come across such detailed analysis in such a short time. I have today gone back to read Isaiah chapters 10, 11 and 12 to confirm what this young man was saying. He is a genius.

My fellow countrymen, and women; the contention of this debate is very simple. "why some group of people doe not accept Jesus as the Messiah" Mr. Avraham is for the motion and the Pastor is against the motion, or simply put the Pastor has to convince the group to acknowledge Jesus as the messiah therefore, he bears the burden of proof!. Mr. Avraham, made it clear, using the old testament, showed that the Messiah: (1) Will be anointed, meaning a King! (2) Be from the line of David, hence a Jew. (3) His presence will change the status quo worldwide. ie no more violence and there will be peace etc all. (4) From the testimony of Jesus himself; his kingdom is not of this world...and he refused to be crowned as king. Therefore, in conclusion, its convincing from Avraham's point of view that Jesus is NOT the Jewish Messiah! Because, he did not fulfill the prophesy. Now The Pastor did not show convincingly from the old testament that: (1) the Messiah will be anointed. (king) (2) Be from the line of David. (3) That his presence changed the status quo worldwide. (4) Testimony from Jesus himself that he is the messiah. The old testament verses that the pastor used doe not correlate or talked about Jesus, most of his verses were out of contest. most of his explanations were based on the new testament; which did not referenced the old testament; he tried to sound convincing but in academia, he did not present any tangible evidence, he rather stressed on believe and faith; hence could not rise to the level of rebutting his opponent's contentions. Pastor in future, please try to disproof your opponent, if your contentions are true then you should not have problems debating. Thank you.

Can you talk about the fact that Christians shouldn't use the creator our ancestors called Onyankopon Otwereduampon Kwame, Nyame and Awurade to replace the creator in the bible. So according to the pastor's explanation, the new testament stands on it's own and doesn't need the old testament. Because the Messiah prophesied in the old testament is not the one portrayed in the new testament at all. Christianity has created it's own messianic concept and belief. Interesting!
