I love Hinata but studio perriot really hate sakura, they removed her original (manga) body and curves and made her abusive when in the manga she only hit Naruto like 4 times, it’s like they want to ruin her reputation to make Hinata look better.

My biggest gripe with NaruHina is the fact that for it to look somewhat decent, they made every other aspect look bad or worse than they already were, especially Naruto and Sakura. It isn't a coincidence that Sasuke barely makes an appearance in this movie because we all know if he was there, Naruto would have paid no attention to Hinata, lol Like bruh, I still like Naruto as a character but god dang this movie did him absolutely no justice. It's like they took a look at all of the development he went through in the main series, and just threw it to the side just to make Hinata look good. NaruHina fanboys love to say it was planned from the start. If that was the case, why did Kishi feel the need to kill off Neji just to play cupid? Why did this movie need to exist? What even annoys me is this movie actually had the audacity to make Kushina's gift for her son seem like an obstacle for Naruto and Hinata's "love" to overcome. It's kind of disgusting when you think about it....

If Sakura stays in the genjutsu with Naruto instead of Hinata, Sakura would have seen through Naruto's memories started to love Naruto. That's the logic behind it 😂😂

It's pretty ironic to hear how naruto, the one who actually isn't afraid or insecured about embracing and acknowledging his true feelings, the one who the show portrayed as someone probably best and most matured when it came to relationships and the bonds, the ones who knocked sense into severely traumatized people about life, love and all, doesn't knows the difference between loving a person and loving ramen. Im just pissed we got this shitty romance movie instead of a final team 7 adventure. I mean the whole show pretty much revolved around naruto and sakura fighting to get sasuke back and it would have been nice to see them go on a final adventure together like the good ol days.

The issues you raised would have been solved by 1)Making the females REAL characters so there is some type of relationship to form 2) Just have the male and female characters form two-sided bonds with each other. Don't do these one-sided crushes 3)DO NOT DO A LOVE TRIANGLE. Sakura and Hinata, but especially Sakura were literally just used as romantic plot devices. If you can't write women or romance but you want both in the series, keep it very simple.

“it’s fanboys writing fanfiction” EXACTLY. this really feels like a hinata fanboy writing their perfect imaginary ending. honestly this movie feels more like a hinata movie than a naruto movie. it was all about “let’s save hinata”, “hinata is a great person”, “poor hinata”, rather than actually giving naruto his happy ending, it feels like it was the studio and the writers proclaiming their love for hinata. i’m not pissed about hinata and naruto ending up together, in fact they look very cute together, im just pissed at how they made it to be. there were way better ways to make their relationship more believable than putting naruto under a genjutsu and him suddenly realizing he’s soooo in love with her when up until now he never saw her as anything other than a comrade. the other thing they did absolutely dirty was naruto’s character. like since when did naruto like sakura out of rivalry with sasuke? does that even make sense with the canon story that we had? since when does naruto who’s the master of talk no jutsu doesn’t know the difference between loving a person and loving food? those are things that really don’t sit well with me. the animation of the movie was great, but i just don’t like the writing of it at all. i really wanted to see team 7 reunited and fighting together. like it would’ve been way more interesting to see than a long ass movie about bullshit excuses as to why naruto fell in love with hinata. honestly i would’ve had preferred if it was up to our imaginations as to how they fell in love because the fact that he realized his feelings under a genjutsu makes everything worse. feel free to disagree, but this is just my opinion.

I like how the centerpiece of this story is a scarf we’ve never seen or heard about before and that Naruto didn’t even recognize. It’s only after the plot gives Naruto a refresher course on what happened in the first twenty minutes of flashbacks that he realizes she’s interested despite declaring her love during the battle with Pain. And even with that, I don’t remember him ever acknowledging it as the same scarf which could’ve been a meaningful, although contrived, point to drive into their relationship. Not that it matters since it’s disintegrated half way through. This whole movie was a 2 hour long joke of a fanfiction with no one reprising their roles accurately except maybe Sai. Funny how after two years of peace Sai still can’t act like a human.

You had me laughing with Naruto and Sasuke wanting to spend their last day together because come on, I think we all know that is true, well maybe not Sasuke because he will be all tsundere about it.

The only reason The Last exists is to erase the fact that Naruto was in love Sakura for 699 chapters and the only thing to get out of is that Naruto will only give Hinata his attention if she is the last option available. This movie does nothing but demolishes the entire theme and it's characters for a talking and walking fetish who's relevance is that of a trash can and only appears 2 or 3% of the time. Naruto, not knowing what love is at? Or the difference between loving food and loving a person? What a load of crap! Considering the fact he fought someone who's whole thing about was love and he asked his own mother how she fell in love his father. So, he most definitely knew the difference. Now, i'm willing to give a benefit of the doubt on that part because of the fact Hinata never made apparent that she liked him more than a friend or at all. She waited TWO years to make another move. And when she actually does gets near him, she acts like a little kid and runs off. You'd think she grow of that behaviour considering Naruto has never been rude or mean to her and she talked to him before in part 1 like a normal person. So, despite of the fact that the scene is basically saying he doesn't know what love is at, can't really blame him for that in that aspect. Then, there's Hinata. What a selfish, petty and insensitive c**t she. Worrying about a f**king scarf over her own sister's life. Not surprising though seeing how she was gushing over Naruto's hand near her cousin's dead body. it's hard to take her when whenever she "loves" him when couldn't be happy about the fact he found happiness with someone that wasn't her. And why is her love for him so damn special anyway? She was not the ONLY one to think about or love Naruto. She has not shown nor proved before and after Pein's invasion that she loves Naruto. Her love means jack s**t. She aware that Naruto was miserable when he was being ostracized by the village. She was a bystander. Just because she thought about him first doesn't change the fact that she didn't anything for him. Also, does Hinata even love about Naruto? She doesn't know anything his wishes, regrets, likes, dislikes, etc. She is just in love with the IDEA of him, not Naruto himself. Sakura, even though I loved her, I wanted to slap the s**t out of her in this movie. From her saying "Naruto, if you leave Hinata behind and expose her to danger again, you'll get a taste of my fist too." to the infamous "you didn't want lose me to sasuke." Like, b**ch wat? First of all, that's rich coming from someone who ended her friendship over a guy who doesn't give a feather about either of them. Also, if we use that same logic, does that mean Naruto only saw Hinata as a trophy to won over from Toneri? What about Sakura and Ino? They see Sasuke is a trophy too? The point of that scene was murder the best relationship. Whether if you like NaruSaku or not, it's undeniable that Naruto loved Sakura for 699 chapters. You can't ignore that. Why? Because it was Naruto's desire to be with her. She was the girl of HIS dreams. But despite their relationship being the most developed and me wanting them end up with each other, they didn't HAVE to be together. An acceptable resolution to their story would be that Naruto cannot romantically pursue her because Sakura is happy with someone else. But Sp said "F*ck that!" and opted to make him a Grade A douchebag who only wanted her to get the upper hand. Also, how come Naruto gets the short end of the stick whenever his wants something despite him the main character? He's not a self insert character or an blank slate. He has own personality, name and wishes. He wanted to be with Sakura, NOT Hinata. It's reminds me of the love triangle between Cloud, Tifa and Aerith. People seem to care who they like, not the characters what like. And finally the genjustu brainwashing, guilt trip. The funniest thing about this scene is Sakura is the one who resistant to genjustu despite it being said that Naruto cannot fall under a genjutsu because he's a jinchuriki. What I also found funny was Naruto and Hinata's memories able to entwined because of the scarf and because it, he's forced to watch through that. Like how and why? After the genjustu ends, Naruto is pretty much guilt ridden at the point, not someone who's in love. How can anyone ship them at that point? I feel so bad for the real diehard fans and customers. They deserve so much better than this piece of crap.

Naruto only loved Hinata because he felt obliged to love her back lol. He felt bad to reject a girl loving him for years. Just like reciprocating the feelings of a girl just because she likes you, guilt-tripping. In Shippuden, she doesn’t have a purpose in life anymore but to love Naruto. It's like her role is only to give birth to Boruto cuz even Naruto's love for her is forced. And Kishi made it like that, all because of her byakugan to make Boruto’s genes powerful. That's all there is to it.

Here’s my biggest problem with Hinata: She’s in love with Naruto and I have just described 95% of her character. Her backstory is that she loves Naruto. Her personality is that she loves Naruto or results from loving Naruto. Her motivation is loving Naruto. Besides Naruto and Neiji to far a smaller extent, I have no idea what she thinks about her teammates, family, or even Konoha. Her very limited characterization and development is entirely built around loving Naruto. She’s not a character, she barely qualifies as an extra. Maybe if they actually did something with her I could get behind her. But instead they settled for nothing and by extension their relationship feels so empty and hollow. All Sakura had to do was get over Sasuke to be good, I have no idea how you fix Hinata.

I can't believe they made an entire movie for an half assed ship. Wtf was that romance? Three scenes from the past and it's suddenly I want to be with you forever and ever? Hinata doesn't even seem to react to it normally considering how calm she is, the girl who used to faint at the sight of Naruto, also nice job nearly screwing up the mission by NOT TELLING ANYONE WHAT WAS GOING ON!!! The hell was wrong with her? Hiding vital information because she was feeling butt hurt. Damn, It would've been better if Naruto met Hinata at the end of Naruto because all these years and all the build up for this unbelievable genjutsu driven confession. Eww, it doesn't even feel like Naruto.

THE LAST MOVIE SUCKS. Other than character designs and the visuals, the movie is utterly boring. It has few action scenes, plotholes (the genjustu flash black) and a dry forced boring romance. No one has yet to explain to me why it’s a good movie other than “Hinata's bewbs”. Hinata as basically a damsel in distress for like half of the movie is ridiculous. Also, her knitting a scarf while her sister was kidnapped by a moon space alien is pathetic. It seems like her priorities were split between rescuing Hanabi and knitting a scarf for her precious Naruto-Kun. Lastly, yes hinata's feelings developed and she fell in love with naruto over time but Naruto decided how he feels towards her in what? just under 2 hours? Sorry it’s my opinion you can’t force me to like this pitiful movie.

I feel like they copy Naruto and Sasuke's bond to make Narato and Hinata's bond =)))) flashback when childhood, understand feeling though connect chakra (in hinata's case is genjustu) , mix chakra when fighting, even change Hinata's chakra color from blue to purple. In Naruto series, I know Naruto and Sasuke feel for each other from both side, but in the movie I just see Hinata's side and can't understand how Naruto fall in love with her. As well you said, Hinata was like main character, she is a boring character so the movie is so boring XD XD

The Last movie doesn't just sound like fanfiction... it sounds like bad fanfiction written by a 12 year old. Because frankly, I write fanfiction and my story is so much better than the Last, but that's because I painstakingly take hours upon hours researching every single thing before I write it in just so that I keep the continuity and timelines right. Bad fanfiction is one of my pet peeves. But I digress. I'm not anti-Hinata by any means, but I just don't understand why people like her so much. She's way over-hyped and honestly has no personality. In fact, her entire personality is "i like Naruto." And that is IT. She has no goals or motivations in life besides that, which just kind of is pathetic when you think about it. To be fair, she actually had a crush on Naruto because he was nice to her, while Sakura obsessed over Sasuke despite him ignoring her, calling her annoying, treating her like she was irrelevant, abandoning her, and trying to kill her multiple times. So, in that regards, I would say that Hinata's feelings for Naruto are at least genuine, while Sakura just shallowly likes Sasuke for his looks or his skills as a Shinobi. Don't get me wrong, physical attraction and admiring someone's strengths are part of what love is, but it shouldn't be the only thing that love is based off of. Naruto had almost no interaction with Hinata at all, except for the Chunin exams and some fillers episodes at the end of Naruto before he left with Jiraiya. ooooh man. Naruto seeing Hinata dance naked at night by a waterfall apparently constitutes as them "bonding" to some people, I guess. The scarf thing bothers me to no end. First off, in the flashbacks, Kushina is shown knitting a RED scarf for Naruto while pregnant, and she does it around the same time that Minato tells Jiraiya that he will be Naruto's Godfather and that they chose a name from Jiraiya's first (and also least popular) novel. SO, the scarf that got destroyed when Naruto was helping Hinata against the bullies would and should have been the scarf knitted by Kushina. The reason why Kushina was knitting a RED scarf in the first place was because of the "red thread of fate" thing, alluding to how her red hair was what brought she and Minato together, in order to produce Naruto. OOOH BOY. But then the Last makes the scarf Kushina made her son green/blue and they make HINATA knit the red scarf, which alludes to the "red thread of fate" to try to be nostalgic about Minato and Kushina. UGH. I honestly hate that so much. And then that the labor of love from Kushina for her son becomes the obstacle for him finding romance... yeah. You said it. It's a dick move by the writers, through and through. But I do think that the scarf would not have been destroyed during the Pain (Also seen it as Pein?) invasion, because Hiruzen Sarutobi, 3rd Hokage, had a special storage area limited to just himself and his clan, and I imagine that he put all Kushina and Minato related stuff in there. (oh boy. I could go on long rants about that, too.) Since, you know, Hiruzen promised MInato to raise Naruto so that he was well looked after but then left him to live alone at age 4 and only gave him money for food once a month and absolutely REFUSED to tell Naruto anything about his parents, because, and I QUOTE "it doesn't matter if they are dead." REALLY, HIRUZEN? REALLY? Tbh, everyone thinks the 3rd Hokage was so cool but I just think he's a fucking prick because of what he did to Naruto and all of Naruto's suffering as a child resulted from his shitty edicts and decisions. Worst Hokage. Worst. (Could rant on and on about that as well.) But, as we know later on, Naruto's OG orange outfit was saved and stored in that Sarutobi secret warehouse just outside the village by Konohamaru, which is why Naruto still has it during the Boruto era so that Boruto is shown wearing the outfit one time, in a moment where it's supposed to show that he's accepted his dad, thinks he's cool, and teams up with up. (AND THEN ALL THAT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT GOES AWAY AND BORUTO CONTINUES TO BE AN OBSTINATE PRICK WHO SAYS "who needs a mom and a dad if they're like you." EXCUSE THE FUCK OUTTA ME< BURRITO. YOUR DAD AT 4 YEARS OLD ASKED HIRUZEN WHY HE HAD NO PARENTS AND HE NEARLY STARVED ALL THE TIME AND HAD TO RESORT TO CATCHING AND COOKING FISH AT 4 OR 5 YEARS OLD TO SURVIVE. FUCK YOU, BURRITO. FUCK YOU.) Definitely I hate that the scarf gets more screen time than Sasuke (whom I loathe) or any of the Kage COMBINED. It's just a damn scarf! You totally nailed every point about why Toneri sucked as a villain so much, and the ninjas on the moon was so damn stupid that when I saw that, I had to pause the movie and walk away because of the shock from the sheer stupidity of it.... NINJA. ON. THE. MOON. Toneri *could* have been made into an awesome villain and they could have eliminated the stupid "living on the moon" nonsense as well. Buuuuut they chose to go with it. I LOATHE that Naruto "fell in love" with Hinata because of GENJUTSU mind sharing. There is absolutely nothing romantic or heartfelt about being guilt-tripped into caring about someone, and you can see that Naruto looks exhausted and miserable in Boruto. For real, my man Naruto almost never looks truly happy in Boruto and it's a far cry from his original character, who was always optimistic to the point of being unrealistic or naive. There's truth in how people face reality and change as adults, but Naruto was in WAR as a teenager but still could smile after. Why does he look so miserable just pushing papers when he's seen the horrors of war and grew up without a family but was able to be optimistic then??? While we're on the subject, Naruto should have ended up with Sakura the whole time, because they both knew each other best. Naruto almost died protecting her many times, and she nearly died many times protecting him and healing him, something she also did in the Last movie. It was Naruto who risked everything for Sakura, trying to do the impossible of bringing back Sasuke, even though he felt so strongly for her, be STILL tried to do what would make her happiest and get Sasuke for her.Naruto protected her from Gaara during the Konoha crush, and even from Orochimaru in the forest of death, where she put her own life on the life to defend Naruto and Sasuke both from Team Dosu, bringing us that epic "maybe Sakura isn't useless" scene where she chops off her hair. Naruto, who still loved Sakura and wanted her to be happy even if it meant his love went unrequited, made a journey to see the damn Raikage and beg him to not put a hit out on Sasuke, all to protect Sakura's feelings. And then Sakura sort of realized what all Naruto was doing for her, which is why she went to him and "lied" about being in love with him in the first place, because she was tired of seeing him break himself over and over again for her about the Sasuke thing. Which was incredible, because it showed that Sakura was getting over Sasuke. One of the best scenes to prove that Sakura and Naruto had true feelings for each other was when she saw him in 4 tail mode the first time when they encountered Orochiamru at Tencho bridge or whatever its name was. She JUST learned that he was a jinchuriki and she realized for the first time why people treated him like shit forever and that she treated him poorly because all the adults pretty much trained their children to as well. So she feels this overwhelming guilt and sadness for him, but then makes the leap and acknowledges how amazing of a person he's been, never holding it against people, always looking forward, always putting other people first, and in the canon novels and info, she feels "flutters in her chest" just thinking about him. And then, when everyone else is afraid of Naruto on a normal level, Sakura sees him in 4 tails mode and she gets legit heartbroken over how much rage and pain he is in, and she RUNS TOWARDS HIM to try to help him. He accidentally wounds her, and she still never holds that against him and we continue to see small changes in how she talks to him and treats him from that point on. NO OTHER GIRL IN THE WHOLE SHOW gets that connection moment with them. No one. Sure, some people say "oh, Hinata always liked him from the beginning" BUT DAMN. Sakura OVERCAME the conditioning of seeing Naruto as a bad omen or nothing but trouble, she acknowledged her role in his suffering and isolation, she acknowledged his suffering, she acknowledged the burden of being a jinchuriki, and and ACCEPTED HIM FOR IT AND RAN TO HIM JUST TO SAVE HIM. She literally was looking at the pure dark, ragey, violent side of him and she RAN TO HIM out of concern for him. She never did that for anyone else, and ain't no other girl who ever did that to Naruto. Not a single one. In fact, after that, Naruto being a Jinchuriki isn't even seen as a shock to any other character and there is no big reveal-acceptance of it the way there was with Naruto and Sakura. Which, I gotta say IS A PRETTY DAMN IMPORTANT THING THAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED considering none of his peers knew the truth and everyone in the village has blamed him for a massacre since he was a newborn. But we get to the war arc and NOPE everyone's just not surprised and is just okay with Naruto being the Jinchuriki. Anyway, there are tons more I could rant about, but I thoroughly liked your video and wholly agree with you.

I didn't know Naruto was a Shojo. Although, it is funny when Pro-Enders (people who love the ending of the series) say "it is not a romance manga." Could have fooled me. There is a saying I have for Naruto: "The only reason why anyone would like Naruto's ending is because their pairing became canon." It is so bad that I am surprised pure NH fans accept. I am a NS admittedly, but even if they ended up together I would be pissed if this is how it happened. Just shit on 15 years of work. Just shit all over it. No wonder Kishimoto said you don'r need to read the manga to enjoy the movie. 13,728 pages. NH has 37 pages total of interaction. How does this make sense?

When I was a child, I used to ship NaruHina a lot but well many things changed my view as I got older. And I really love how most Naruto fans agree on NaruSasu ending because their individual relationships suck.

The Naruto Ending (this movie is a part of it) was one of the worst atrocities in all of anime/manga history and so is Hinata. Spent over 10 years on Naruto and this ending was a slap in the face. NH/SS are the worst pairings I have ever seen and they were so forced. They had little to no romantic mutual development. Both Naruto and Sasuke are unhappy; Kishimoto saying that he's surprised that Sasuke and Sakura aren't divorced yet and Burrito being the only thing keeping Naruto and Hinata together. Saying things like Sakura and Hinata would be 'horrible women' for moving on from their crushes on Naruto and Sasuke...how could anyone be okay with this?? I guess if you blindly stan abusive relationships and walking sex dolls with obsessive love syndrome, then sure. Go ahead and sit on your kingdom of dung. My gosh, ya'll should have seen how fast I yeet'd all of my Naruto merch when the ending and the last came out. Not having any unholy abominations in my house.

Naruto's worldbuilding seems vast as ocean with millions of interesting cultures, peoples and politics, but when your ready to dive in the water you've already hit the bottom and barely gotten wet. Villages, ninja clans, weapons, political conflicts, wars between villages and nations, none of this is there, the world's history is incomplete and it would be nice if you talked about it in a future video. Or if Kishimoto really wants to go for Neji’s Cupid death idea, then have Naruto be around Hinata for a while to help her to deal with the loss of her cousin along with their personal problems and the wrongs of the Hyuga clan. And as for Naruto’s relationship with Sakura, easy, let him move on from his first crush after realizing she’s not into Naruto in a romantic way while can still be on good terms with her. Naruto still love Sakura but knows that he couldn’t be with her and they will always be great friends no matter what. Oh, and let Sakura be single since I think she works best at being at her own person. BOOM, THERE!!! That’s how you do it.

I hated this movie because of how awful it was contriving a romance plot for Naruto and Hinata to fall in love. Everyone in this movie just guilt tripped Naruto into loving Hinata especially Sakura who appointed herself as the matchmaker giving her garbage love advice to Naruto and thinking that he is an idiot who can’t tell the difference between loving ramen and loving a person. The writers gets a big fat L for not doing their homework on Naruto’s character who actually knows what love is because he asked his mom Kushina how she fell in love with Minato, and the infamous scene when an emotional Naruto told Sakura straight to her face that she is lying to herself when she actually loves Sasuke during her fake love confession.

In boruto i wasn’t suprised that he can't be bothered to spend time with his family when when he can create all these clones. Thats what happens when you settle for someone you don't truly love. It makes no sense to me that people use the excuse that Kishimoto wasn't writing a romance yet he took the time to build Shikamaru and Temari's relationship yet he couldn’t find the time to for Naruto or Hinata?

The thing that I feel is ironic about this is that Studio Perriot have proven in the past that they can write a female character that actually has chemistry with Naruto that is able to be a well written character as well. I have asked this to other fans I know and some bring up Ryuzetsu, Amaru, Shion, and Sara (my personal favorite). I feel that if they were going to turn this film into a romance story that honestly they would be better off just making a new female character. I mean, with how little characterization Hinata gets in the series and in this film (which really is a shame considering that she’s the forefront of the story), you might as well be working with a blank canvas anyways. Or you know, write pairings that make sense and not just to pander to a demographic like cowards. What ever happened to writer integrity.

Hinata Hyuga is the biggest waste of an anime character ever. She should have been the one who’s main goal was to unite the Hyuga and abolish the Cage Bird Seal. As a clan heir, she should have been Temari 2.0 in terms of personality. Temari is best girl by the way. She needed constant saving getting beat by random red shirt mooks. She is like if Toph from Airbender had no development. Toph even had the similar foundations as princesses from warrior backgrounds! Hinata sucks and I do not know why she gets such worship from the fanbase.

5:13 actually I was consistently surprised at the small details I've seen throughout the Naruto manga, it's pretty obvious that Kishimoto doesn't like NaruHina from her moment in the Pain fight being a completely different tone from the anime + Neji's unnecessary death. Its all intentional, Kishimoto was probably pushed by Shonen Jump to make it canon when it became popular and purposefully made it bad out of spite.

There are so, so many things I could talk about in terms of what this movie did wrong, but you covered most of them, and since the movie seems most concerned with ‘romance’, I’ll talk about how they flunked that. Now it’s my opinion that a good love story should unique to the two characters in question, so the inciting incident which gets them together should be a way that only works for those two. But the events of this movie which bring Naruto and Hinata together have nothing specific to their characters, you could take any two characters in the Naruto universe, put them in the genjutsu lake and the results would be similar. This movie had something terrible... an OOC cast. Why? NaruHina is the answer. If Naruto ended up with anyone other than Hinata... I'd accept. Regardless, nothing can change now, but a reboot (hopefully) can fix this. NaruSaku and ShikaTema were the only pairings that made sense.

You know what is funny, guys? The fact that the entire «movie» is a huge spit in the face. Naruto's face and NaruHina fans faces. What do i mean? Fisrt, I MUST say that I am a fan of manga not the anime. Because manga is just better. Why? Simple example - Haruno Sakura. Many people hate her, many people love her. Chapter 342 and episode 89(anime adaptation of this episode). After Naruto refuses going to the hospital, Sakura beats him up in anime. And there is NO such moment in manga. Many examples but this comment is not about it. Lest return to the movie. First scene. What the fuck is this. In manga Hinata loved Naruto because she saw his determination by HERSELF! And the second fun fact is that in manga there's no flashbacks of Naruto saving Hinata. Im talking about Pain's arc. Chapter 437 if you wanna check. So i think the canon is Naruto saving Hinata scene from the movie. And if Hinata's love was because of that then imagine being, for an example, Ino instead of Hinata. Probably the same result. I'd love to see a video one day regarding Hinata's flaws as a character. In my opinion she just gets wasted and not enough people really talk about it, unlike with Sakura where you hear everyone hating her. Frankly I find Hinata's wasted potential even more egregrious than Sakura's, because the former had actual inherit potential as seen in her 1st true introduction with the Neji battle, she could've been the next heiress, she could've overcome her shyness *on screen,* etc. Even with the off-screen execution, it's bad because Part 2 Hinata in the beginning is still shy 3 years later, but then a few months later there's just sudden change somehow. Hinata's character could've been awesome, we could've seen her become the antithesis of she used to be, which is why I'm so sad about it. Sakura is just... there, with no interesting background to expand upon, so there's not much to be mad over. Naruhina is also handled like garbage, although I've never been much of a Narusaku fan and it wouldn't make any sense for the ship to happen due to Sakura's unjustified obsession with Sasuke lasting for all 700 chapters. To be frank though, Kishimoto's protagonist/supporting cast characters (Konoha 11) just don't do it for me as a whole I suppose. I've always been much more enamored with the Straw Hat crew and their charming friendship in One Piece or the Shinigami captains/lieutenants and their interesting backgrounds in the Soul Society arc of Bleach. Not only because they're much more interesting, but they're all consistently relevant and are provided screentime, and as such, there's more of a reason for me to care about these characters. Luffy's crew is always the main focus in One Piece, or the Gotei 13 always being the ones protecting Soul Society through the whole series of Bleach, for all 700 chapters. The Konoha 11 mostly just...fizzle out, after the Sasuke Retrieval arc, or in some cases the Chunin exams (Shino...) or in Tenten's case... she's never left an impression on me.

Its almost like when you write a script that forces two characters together. Who have interacted a total of 5 times across 700 chapters. It was doomed to feel rushed or poorly written. The ham fisted line from Sakura about stepping aside, essentailly quoting the last Data book entry for Sakura was laughibly bad
