I think sasuke wanted to be alone. He told Sakura that he will come back but he didn’t. She got tired of waiting so she chased after him again🤦♀️ She found him, she got pregnant, he told her to come back to the leaf but she did not listen. She gave birth and again he left her for 12 years 🤦♀️🤦♀️ He did not write a letter to her and to his daughter. I think Sakura was one of this girls who do not know what to do so they get pregnant because they think that their lover will stay. This relationship is not right. I feel sorry for Sakura and i am mad that she was written so badly.

Gay or not, Naruto and Sasuke are the happiest around each other. Sakura probably thought she could guilt-trip Sasuke into marrying her, like Hinata did Naruto. I think Sakura deserves her unhappy marriage.

If you would read with understanding you would know that Sasuke came back to the village for a hokage meeting about Kaguya and then he got this mission. Before he just left her after she gave birth for no one knows what mission.. and seeing that Naruto during Kaguya meeting was hokage, it means Sarada was 7 years old just like Boruto and Sasuke never borhered to visit his child and Sakura never bothered to bring Sarada to meet her father... nice family

Fun fact About the Scarlet Spring title in Japanese when you break down the Kanji letters that got translated to Scarlet Spring you get 3 words Scarlet, Flower & Moon which is a direct reference to the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
When the whole "Sarada is Karins daughter" was first teased I hoped whole heartedly that it was true. It would explain why everyone was so doggy about Sarada's birth. Imagine if Karin died in childbirth or someother way shortly after Sarada was born and Sasuke just dumped her in Konoha cause "He needs to attone". Maybe Naruto was gonna raise her first but then Sakura volunteered and pretended to be Sasuke's wife/Sarada's biological mom so that she could have a normal childhood(at this point she has 0 feelings towards Sasuke and is even pissed at him cause how he abandoned Sarada). Then this whole manga would be about Sarada accepting his father is a deadbeat and embracing Sakura as her mom even tho they aren't related by blood cause "bonds are more important than blood". She could even change her name to be Sarada Haruno and Sasuke could just go on being a deadbeat. Everybody wins
In my personal opinion, Sasuke and Karin's relationship made more sense than Sasuke and Sakura. Karin actually had a reason for liking Sasuke that we actually knew and when she knew Sasuke "liked" Sakura she let him have her because she wanted him to be happy. His misbehavior with her is quite similar to his misbehavior with Sakura, but on the upper side we can actually understand Karin's attachment to him. Plus, there was that one filler episode where we got to see Karin's Tsukiyomi and her backstory, which IMO makes an even stronger argument for Karin (and there was also those chapters where Naruto and Sasuke were dying during the war arc). The last chapter of the Gaiden in my opinion made it even worse for Sasuke and Sakura, as that line of their bond being Sarada reminds me of what divorced or would be divorced parents tell their kids (plus, look at Sakura's face). Sakura looks unstable and they have little chemistry. I believe the Gaiden could have been better if it had been something like Sarada actually was Sasuke and Karin's but Karin died or something and Sasuke got together with Sakura afterwards and Sakura would raise Sarada (which could go with strong bonds that don't rely on blood relationships). Sasuke wouldn't be as close to Sakura as he was to Karin, and it could be a result of her death, but her proximity with Sarada would "keep them together". It's not THAT better but I think it would actually have been better than what we got (as the Gaiden IMO felt more like a filler than anything as aside from meeting Sasuke we didn't get anywhere).

I'd say one of the biggest problems with this Gaiden is that it makes it always the possibility that Sarada is Kairn's child and not Sakura's, since I think in Japanese culture the mother keeps the umbilical cord. Now I would prefer SasuKarin over SasuSaku any day, but Kishimoto screwed any chance of that happening with this mess of an ending, which somehow gets even more messier with pointless drama like this making us ask if Sakura and Sasuke really are in love or even had a kid. He is not going to win back fans who like the idea of Karin together with Sasuke back by doing stuff like this as he has already made it clear in the ending that those two wouldn't be a thing. In fact I'd say it would even more than likely make any self respecting Sasusaku fan (if there are any at this point) mad that he is screwing them over by even the slightest possibility that those two aren't really together and I doubt he can afford to loss more of the fandom than he already has. The only thing I enjoyed in this Gaiden is that Sakura gets to fight Shin, but that was done much better in the anime adaption where they even let her be the one to beat him in the end. Which surprised me given how Studio Pierrot has treated her character in the past. Also I would enjoy seeing when you thought Bleach went downhill. Though truth be told given the state of Naruto I'd rather check out a bleach spin off than Boruto.
@@hungry_khid1007 sakura is her real mother, this whole gaiden was basically to prove that. sakura had sarada while she was traveling with sasuke, hence why she had sarada in one of orochimaru’s hideout with the help of karin delivering sarada. tbh i don’t like the whole family drama, i would’ve preferred sasuke just coming back from his trip and enjoying a nice dinner with his family. i think it was unecessary troll drama for no reason but it is what it is.

Yes, so many shipper get mad when people even mention Karin might be sarada month but the entire thing literally points in that direction, some say sarada doesn't wear glasses cuz she needs them, then why does she wear them then, did Sakura just give some glasses and say wear and sarada never questioned it, why did she believe Karin was her mom if she doesn't even need glasses at all, would've make sense for her to believe Sasuke wasn't her dad instead , she didn't have sharigan yet so how could she be sure he was her dad but not Sakura the woman who love her unconditionally, it's an unnecessary red herring to make money of crazed shipper to give them Hope

The chronological events don't align up correctly and it is near impossible for it to occur the way the story wants you to believe. Sasuke can't hug or kiss his wife, but he supposedly can have sex with her? Some say they did in the light novel, but that canon is debatable and I could also argue it was a fantasy in Sakura's head Sasuke was literally never there in the village for it to even happen. Basically counting Salad's age, birth, and conception...Sasuke was not even in the same area. Sakura couldn't remember if Sasuke had glasses. Sasuke and Sakura are never officially married. They never got a single moment where they had a marriage. The only way that it can logically happen is of Sakura was artificiallt inseminated thanks to Orochimaru since she knew where his base was. Even if they hammer into me that Salad is Sakura's kid...NOTHING in the actual story supports and this is one of those show not tell lind of things. All in all...I think it is a massive retcon.

They could have fixed the whole story by adding that Sasuke has been gone for ten years and hasn’t bothered to reach out to anyone as he moves to different dimensions. His perception of time gets muddled, so he thinks a few months of being on a mission is several years away from his friends and family. But I guess Kishi wanted us to get on the Sauske is a lousy father train.

it was never implied that they never kissed, in fact they kissed in one of the novels. what happened was when sarada asked sakura if they ever kissed sakura was remembering “something better than a kiss”, meaning the forehead poke. honestly i like sakura as sarada’s mom, they have great chemistry as mother and daughter in boruto. i just don’t like how they made sasuke look like a deadbeat

I think a good twist back in shippuden would have been if sakura had turned evil. Take her obsession with sasuke further, give her something to do. Suddenly you've got a healer that can punch people into the ground.
Sounds like a cool premise. Could be like the Harley Quinn thing where he abuses her into insanity and she becomes a sort of henchmen and ppl try to save her but maybe involve ino in that would be cute if she ended up being the one to end up saving her and it‘d also be wholesome. Another one I‘d personally have liked would be her own arc about a secret technique she had locked away till shippuden that she will unlock during a arc that focuses on her. I always liked the idea od sakura struggling with parental abuse as a contrast to Sasuke and Naruto‘s trauma. Would also make her anger issues and her fixation on someone who doesn‘t care for her and even harms her seem more explainable. Like, you have these 2 orphans thinking hsving parents is the best thing ever and then u have sakura. A selfish, stuck up whiny and aggro girl superfically obsessed with sasuke but suddenly the rug is pulled and the ungreatfulness towards her parents is her resenting her mother for being her biggest bully and a threat to her, her voilent outburst is her learning violence is the answer from her mother and her obsession with sasuke is hinking his distance and verbal abuse while she begs for any kind of love is normal cause she lived that with her mom. Now throw a mental illness in as well triggered by never reaching Sasuke or Naruto‘s level plus maybe self hatred issues leading to self harm, recklessness and even su*cide perhaps amd you have a bomb of an arc about her and why she is so messed up as well as a wholesome part of it where Kakashi and Naruto try and just be there for her and Naruto acknowledges her pain with her parents and also learns that not all parents are a blessing. It could just be a really nice arc and the sasuke obsession stopping would also be great. Maybe she could fall for Naruto in the end seeing how sasuke is abusing everyone for selfish reasons and wanting to protect naruto because he‘s been there for her listening and nobody did before. It‘d be a nice healthy dynamic, the war themes wouldn‘t feel off since sakura has no kind of struggle with her past like nearly all characters have to get depth and also this could help a lot in making sakura change from a dysfunctional mess and kind of a stalker who abuses her friends to someone who is trying actively to be a better person and ending up maybe even saving Naruto from sasuke in the last fight. And this may sound a bit too much but think about it. Team 7 includes Sakura. And our issue with her is that she‘s neglected hugely from the narrative. Now if we build her up like the rest of the main cast as more than just a wife to win for the main characters, then we have to use her somewhere in the final fight. And one way to both wow the audience as well as including her would be her saving naruto last minute and defending him. Hell, maybe even killing her in the process making Naruto hugely regret giving him so much attention although sakura did actually care for him only to end up dying because he didn‘t let go of sasuke. What anslap in the face and lesson would that be about love and friendship. Well, it certainly would be controversial and tragic, but at the same time ppl usually praise anime or art the most that actually subverts for the sake of an actual healtfelt message. And what would be a better message than slapping naruto in the face with: „if you keep thinking you can save anyone and chose to hyperfocus on the villian who hurt and murdered plenty of your friends, someone who actjally loves you may end up dying and it‘s your own fault in a way because you chose to ignore themfor the sake of someone who doesn‘t love you back. Just like sakura would be doomed with trying to get with sasuke and risking naruto‘s life for that, so would the table have turned and we‘d realize that in a way Naruto and Sakura were the same. But only one of them learned their lesson, and in the end it was sakura who had to pay the price of misdirected love because naruto chose to make the same mistake sakura made in the past. It‘d come full circle and would also show us as the audience the realism of friendships or love where you have to beg the other party for attention or have to constantly play therapist for them is a toxic relationship that can ruin your life. And sure it aim‘t no regular ending, but usually all media that impacts us deeply for years have one thing in common. And that usually is uncomventional subversive endings.

If she had balls to throw away morality, she could become second Kabuto, but even deadlier. She's supposed to be genius in chakra control and smart with theory. Like imagine her doing same medical tricks like Kabuto, but add to it physical stench, Sasori's poison and Orochimarus secret knowledge. She could become killing machine. P.S. she was actually dangerously close to being evil, so I could see it happening. 1. When she wanted to kill Sasuke he gave her choice to join him by killing Karin. 2. When Sasuke desidet to leave Konoha, I think Sakura had a chanse to say "Let me go with you". We saw that she is insecure about her weakness, and perhaps she could saw it as opportunity to both be with Sasuke and become stronger.
Excellent work Greg, I don't know why Kishimoto didn't just end the series right as Naruto became Hokage. Since your doing character videos next, I'd like to share a comment I made on a video from a guy who's not a fan of female characters. So here we go. Sakura, Ino, Hinata are all driven by love and that's it, that's their character. Their only goal in life is to try and get the boy of their dreams, and there's nothing wrong with that but you got to give your characters something more than just being a love interest for another character. Sakura is a very interesting character; she had the most development of all the other females starting as a weak and desperate fangirl for Sasuke to becoming a student of the legendary sannin tsunade, that’s pretty good. As time pasted she grew she stops seeing Naruto as just the village idiot and saw him as her friend and teammate, and yes she still hits him a lot but that’s just a stupid gag from the studio that got stale pretty quickly. Unfortunately for her Kishimoto decided to go backwards in her development when Sasuke got into the picture; reverting all that lovely character development for an unhealthy obsession with a man trying to kill her and her friends, why Kishimoto did this I don’t know. Her love was not genuine; it was lackluster and shallow, and that’s kind of sad. It’s would have been a nice moment when Sasuke is rambling about killing everyone and Sakura walks ups to him and slaps him in the face, like when Rickert slapped Griffith after he found out about the eclipse. Then she moves on from him and finds someone who genuinely loves her, like Naruto or Rock Lee who laid down their lives to protect her. Ino is the same deal as Sakura, only she is her rival like Sasuke is to Naruto. Ino could have had a better character then just Sakura 2.0, she could started out that way and then (like Sakura from my previous statement) move on from Sasuke. Hinata is very similar to both Sakura and Ino but there a twist; she likes naruto and she’s shy. I don’t understand why people like Hinata so much and then throw sakura and the other girls down an elevator shaft. Her dialogue is mostly “Naruto kun!” and she does not interact with Naruto much, yes she expressed her love to Naruto when she faced pain but for some reason they never had a moment to be together and talk like actual people after the that. The studio who worked on Naruto spent so much time to fetishize her they couldn’t care to give her a filler episode where her and Naruto go on a mission and talk to one another, like real people. Hinate should have made a name for herself and prove to Neji that she can be strong, that she can be brave. But alas such dream are a far-cry now. Tenten, Temari, and Anko are interesting cases to say the least, they are not motivated by love and seem to actually have goals, wants and a personality that isn’t a stereotype; so what’s the problem? They have minimal impact on the story, no screen time to explore their individual characters and then thrown away like a used condom on the streets of Los-Vegas. Ten-Ten is a weapons master, but we never see her fight except for the one against temari and that wasn't even shown on screen in the manga and all others were filler . She was never once given the light of day like neji or lee (but even they didn't do much after part 1) to her own person instead of a rain drop in a bucket full of holes. Ten-Ten should have fought by switching weapons to adapt to the situation and opponents, basically she should be like link for the legend of Zelda, Using a the tools and weapons at his disposal to surpass and obstacle. Temari is the same deal, but a least got some credibility, but not much. She only known for being gaara's sister and for her fight with ten-ten, oh and her relationship with shukimaru. All temari's done was act snobby towards the leaf ninja and becoming a brood mare for shikimaru (but I have to admit they do seem to be the only couple that would work in real life.) Anko had the most potential squandered, being a student of orochimaru and any time his name was mentioned she was there in a split. So could you guess what kishimoto do with her? ABSOLUTLY F**KING NOTHING, THAT'S WHAT!!! She literally became nothing more then a battery for kabuto and a parasitic host to bring orochimaru back. It’s sad too, I would very fascinated by these three when I was a kid back in the day (I still do too), such wasted potential. I’m sorry my lovelies, maybe one day a better writer can give you the justice you deserve. To add some more salt of the wound, kishimoto decided to make all of the girls married and become housewives, Yeah. Now there's nothing wrong with being a housewife, but why do all of them need to be (of course ten-ten is single and anko is overweight now, why does he do this?) they could have had other jobs to help their families, or become teachers. Nope, housewives, "To the kitchen with you women!" Also regarding shipping, it is a infectious disease that plagues anime and all other forms of media alike. Horny Teens and lonely adults with too much time on their hand spend years belittling others in their "ship wars" that spill over into the story and (unfortunately) real life. I assume you heard of the naru-hina/naru-saku divide (god that shit is dumb) where people made tumblur blogs hating Hinate, A fictional character, just because she ended up with naruto. Along with sending death threats to Kishimoto, and some burning their entire collection of naruto manga. Like bleach and one piece, catering to shippers, NEVER ONCE! Kishimoto is a great artist no doubt about it, but his writing skills are questionable at best, horrible at worst. Oh and If you use the “Kishimoto said he can write female characters right.” Argument Then Kishimoto doesn’t understand character writing at all. Writing a female character is no different then writing a male character, their genders should not define who they are. Well that was a long rant. The big turn off for me with boruto is the ships and children everyone had. It really should’ve been Naruto X Sakura 2 kids with their daughter being the main protagonist. Sasuke being alone Choji being alone Shikamaru and Temari whatever it’s fine don’t really care about it.
i agree with you , kishimoto created pairings that are toxic and make no sense and gave useless children to useless characters ( choji , sai ) . the ending should have been: Naruto married with kids ( he deserves a family ), Sakura married , Sasuke alone ( being a father is not a priority for him plus he left sakura and sarada for 12 years )Kakashi maybe not married but at least with a child ( he suffered a lot , he deserves a family more than other characters ) shikamaru married , sai, ino, kiba , shino - i don't give a fuck about them

Yeah, the Boruto dad meme is boring at this point. Or at least find ways to twist it to something fresh. It’s just overused. It was funny the first month, but just end that stuff already.
At the time, I was willing to give this a chance. I figured Kishimoto would just tell a story about the New Team 7 (or Boruto and Sarada at least). Aaannnndddd…he chose to open with this. I guess the lesson of “If you expect anything from Kishimoto, he will do the opposite” didn’t set in. Remember your scream at Susanoo Kakashi? That was me in the first chapter of this. Kishimoto should have just moved on from his pairings, but he seems obsessed with making SS worse. Yeah, I do kind of like Sarada while despising her origin. Throughout this I just felt really bad for her. And then the manga makes her dress like a….something not very nice. Have you seen Batman Year One? Watch the scene where Bruce Wayne walks in downtown Gotham and is solicited by a child prostitute. But the current manga Sarada in her place, and she would fit right in. Maybe even better (or worse). I guess if there’s anything to give Boruto credit for, they’re moving away from the sharingan bullshit. I can’t really attest to the quality of the new villains, but it’s something. It was still a bad move to start off with that. I guess Kishimoto was desperate to be done and just did what he knew to do best (or worst) There is a conspiracy that both Sarada and Boruto were meant as SK and NS kids but changed their mothers at the last second. I guess on Sarada’s side, that bothered him and he wanted to troll them, when he would have been better served ignoring them altogether. I still do question why Boruto’s favorite color is pink when he’s Hinata’s son though. Then again, I guess it ultimately comes down to shock value sells and here we are. Goku spend time with his kids I mean..... he kinda he leaves family at the end of z and he kinda left his family for 7 years willingly. Also wasn't Sasuke eventually investigating Kaguya realm surprisingly he has more reason to neglect Sarada then Naruto who didn't leave the village and can make a million clones to take his place somewhere.
Goku can easily teleport to his family plus goku spent time with his family in the time skip after the buu arc ended and before raditz came and before the cell games started and gt isn’t canon plus gokus kids were adults now one of the reasons goku went to train uub was so he could be able to protect the earth when the time comes but sasuke just left the moment he got a kid he didn’t even bother spending time with his family

Everyone wants to be Goku but no one wants to learn what made the original depictions of him great, I got tired of the terrible father trait after FMA One piece and Hunter.
At least Hoenhein had good reasons to leave his family in FMA Brotherhood. He even said sorry and made peace with his sons. He may have been flawed but he is a much better dad than Goku, Ging and Vinsmoke.
Also Luffy's dad Dragon. MCs tend to have absent an dad, so that they can be independent and carry their own series. It's fine for FMA, one piece and hunter x hunter, it's just a bit awkward for 2nd gen series, some fans expect loving family fluff for the OG MC.
personally imo what really made naruto start to go downhill in quality, i still do enjoy it and even watched boruto, but naruto used to be much more grounded when it came to it's fighting, we didn't have people casually creating craters or spamming the same taxing attack over and over without any consequences "i'm looking at you Kakashi" We had good ol fashion hand to hand combat with kunai, shuriken and the occasional jutsu that took alot of prep with hand signals to work, Once apon a time Orochimaru and Hiruzen fight was considered the best of the best, it can't get any more crazier then this, this is a hokage level battle right here. Power creeps and insane feat gaps have always been an issue with alot of shonen and i think it really started to show in naruto by part 2/shippuden, you could argue that this started way back in the chunin exams when naruto fought gaara and the amount of damage two genin were creating even back then. And then the war arc happened in shippuden and it turned into a Micheal bay wet dream with the amount of explosions and giant energy blasts surrounding the battlefield that is where the series especially jumped the shark with its scaling of power feats. Don't even get me started on madara in the war arc.
He a bit biased...just cause you think a story should go the way you want it to doesn't mean it's bad or wrong for not doing so...your opinion isn't the only one that matters and retcons flaws mistakes bad writing occur in every form of media which huch make it relatable cause its written by humans who are flawed like humans are so being so harsh on naruto is really pointless and he seems to only do it for views and clout and cause he was a fan of the series and then got mad at the end so he lives in denial about it...

Still love those vids my man! I do have my own hot take too though and Imma just share it here. So i feel like the whole show has a massive problem and that problem mainly is the government in the show being written as horribly corrupt kind of feudalism wkth child soldiers and a sense of rigid control over Shinobi as well as citizen. And this is where the main issue lies imo. There‘s an attempt at world building but it‘s abandoned quickly while the show is trying to appease the editors and publishers by staying in line. Aka the writer being limited in his artistic expression to not risk anything that could drive profit away or make the show not as marketable to the audience they wanted to market to. But that‘s obviously not the main issue. The main issue of Naruto is that it‘s childishly ignorant towards how the world and how politics work as well as a total ignorance and blatant misrepresentation of women. Mainly this is seen as any female character being useless cause the author neglects them only seeing use in them as a tool for male characters lusting after em. All of them are a carbon copy with a different design slapped on and shows how incapable and insulting kishi sees and portrays women in his work. But not just that. The other issue is a total immature lack of understanding how attraction and romance works wich is a theme in naruto from the start, and a lack of planning ending in plot holes that are miles deep and total derailment of characters, plots, themes and story telling. Naruto starts as a compelling mystery thing about a strang avatar esque fantasy world riddled with corruption and the characters slowly wake up to this as kids when sh*t hits the fan in the land of waves arc. But soon this kind of mature storytelling becomes less and less prominent as it‘s replaced by medeocre shounen writing, a obsession with sasuke and naruto while all other characters are neglected and a total derailment of morality themes and messed up morals. We start with a story of a kid wanting to be ninja president to be loved cause he‘s abused as a kid and struggles with his identity and place in the ninja world, and we end with a overpowered messiah keeping up the status quo that literally caused all this misery and destruction that made this whole conflict happen in the first place. So we went from a revolutionary anti evil gov story to a conformist pro evil gov story that feels totally delusional and idiotic to me. Let‘s face it. If we replace konoha with jews, and Danzo with hi*ler, how would you see itachi as the supposedly redeemed poor baby who betrayed his kind for world peace? And how would you view sasuke‘s want to destroy the villiage after learning that? Would you still be on the side of konoha? Well, if you would that‘d mean something pretty damn sinister wouldn‘t it? But Naruto does this. It essenrially sais: brainwash your minority friend into believing that your people‘s genocide wasn‘t so bad, allow your family‘s murderers to lock you up and treat you like that bad guy, and have it all magically be fixed like a fever dream creating something as ridiculously unreal as the infinite tsukuyomi dreams by fixing what is essentially fascism not by overthrowing it wich according to reality was the only thing that worked because ppl literally couldn‘t vote just like konoha ppl couldn‘t, and just magically fixing it instead by making the little fascist apologist who loves friendship and acts like a 10 year old ninja president and thinking that him, you know the big dumb dumb who doesn‘t know anything can uphold peace in a system that is built within fascism and has only ever been that. Naruto would have to have by definition have to changed the system drastically for this to even work and he clearly doesn‘t do it cause even the show sells the hokage position like a desk worker job while danzo, a shadow leader actually did seem to have some power as well as the barely mentioned feudal lords. It almost seems like hokage are just a ruse chosen from a set of manifactured hero arcetypes by chosing em based on ninja status and strength just to keep ppl brainwashed about how everything is ok while they literally have kids fighting to their death and ppl living under essentially fascist rules invading other places and labelling any rebel as an enemy of the state and brainwashing the remaining villiage soldiers about how the fascist are actually the good guys and those pesky rebels are the big bad who they have to fight. Like it‘s just su h a joke if you think about it more than 2 seconds. Even steven universe was more nuanced and that was a kid‘s show with a rushed ending and unexplored worldbuilding. Not to mention avatar‘s fantastic world building and plot. Naruto compared to this is just a show that clearly bit off more than it could chew by establishing a deeply corrupt world and desperately wanting to end it with the unreal pipedream of „world peace“ without understanding a single thing about how something like that could even barely be worked towards and how insanely complex such a issue would be when you try to solve it. I mean it really is just biting off more than you can chew. You could have easily made the thing less about saving the world and more about just saving the friends or winning a war. Maybe even losing it and trying to survive that. You know, stuff other media does that knows how hard it‘d be to fix a world spread overly corrupt system and for that reason decides to not fix everything as a goal but rather talk about the characters who have to live in that and play with them trying to just make the world a bit better. There‘s a reason shows like Naruto feel so childish for ppl who care about politics and media with deep political world building, and it‘s an understanding that humans are fundamentally complex and flawed. And does even seem to get that with pain and all that. But at the same time it‘s portrayal of saving the world is so juvenile that it feels insultingly bad. It started off so good but plumbeted because the writer sacrificed everything that was good about it for childish bandaid solutions to problems as massive as the world itself. It could have been great but it wasn‘t. And the reason for that is that a writer was both backed into a corner due to people driven by only profit dictating what is and isn‘t allowed, as well as someone trying desperately to tell a story with a utopian ending that wouldn‘t work because it was too drastic and too complex for the guy to genuinely be realistic. And i‘d argue most other issues are attached to this same problem root. Bad fem characters? Juvenile thinking about how women are mysterious weird aliens you don‘t understand, politics? Dumbed down misunderstanding about anything that‘s political, messed up childish thinkinf about friendship and love that turn out to in practice usually be deemed as abusive or even illegal irl, juvenial understanding of power and strength. Main chara‘s are literally gods cause main baddie is too strong and literally god and so alien has to snuff him and then gods have to destroy her through a loophole cause he ran out of ideas about his idiotic power scaling. And lastly terrible juvenile morals that literally end up sounding just like leaf propaganda. Aka always chase after your comrades even if they abuse you cause u have to save them or ur a bad friend, never change who you love or break up cause you‘re evil if you do, never rebel even if the gov kills your kind cause they did it for reasons that can only ever be reasonable even if they don‘t feel like that to you and democracy is bad and instead you should just strive to become a slave child soldier and serve ur country only to be ruined later with massive mental damage and not being able to have a stable relationship or life. And lastly lastly, never question the government. And if you do only do it passively by saying: „not being bad is good! And I‘m gonna be good! But not too much so the villiage don‘t actually get mad. This was extremely well written. I have the same issues when discussing Naruto with others on Quora. The fanbase is knee deep in denial, childish and sensitive to critique on this awful series. They refuse to think about what they're watching and they enable all sorts of crap to pass w/o any sort of discretion or discernment. Avatar is a masterpiece compared to this series. FMA is golden compared to Naruto. The fanfiction for Naruto is so much better then Canon.

I was pretty much absent from Naruto fanbase since the anime ended in 2017, after I saw a few glimpses of the Boruto anime and I watched the Naruto Gaiden adaption in Boruto but then just left for 4 years. I came back last year and I see the "Boruto's dad" joke. I personally love Boruto as a character he is a genuinely relatable character he has similar upbringing to most kids now. I never really hated Boruto for how he treated Naruto since Naruto was an absent father to Boruto. You would think that Naruto would be interested in raising his son but now he abandons him for the village and this is the same Naruto who grew up as an orphan. sorry, Boruto was justified in how he treated naruto you see in the beginning he didn't know what his father went through so his knowledge was limited, but his father told him how he grew up and found a new middle ground and love for his father and position. Bottom line, Boruto and the new team 7 are my favorite characters. I love relationships they share its o wholesome.
I read this chapter and saw Sasuke walk away while smiling with the bento made by Sakura. Three assumptions. 1) He didn't want to be affectionate with her in front of Sarada (doesn't make sense to me since he could do the same thing he did to her last time). 2) He wanted to tease her (not possible since he wouldn't know teasing even if his life depended on it). 3) He legit just smiled because he got to spend time with them (probably because of Sarada). Although, given all this... it doesn't make sense on Sasuke's character and Sakura looks defeated as hell. On the other hand, we know who Naruto thinks about when receiving the bento from Boruto😎 In the end, this is the only franchise which made me regret ever watching it.

Lessons learned: 1) Avoid single ships unless absolutely confirmed. 2) Avoid long franchises until they end. 3) Avoid Shounens with major dependence on romance.
in the boruto movie sasuke really redeemed himself for me with how he could understand boruto...hes like your like me with a family...you have people who care about you a sibling who adores the ground you walk on and a caring mother who worries and a dad who wants to be proud of you.....from day 1..naruto did not..so its hard for him to connect with you on a emotional level...but if you ask about his past he can spend more time and you can learn about each other..its actually really good stroytelling...i loved sasuke in that moment...and he calls boruto a loser cause he hates to lose
