I really appreciate this video. Thanks. I'm waiting for my soon to be M10-R to arrive, after years of wanting an M. I've likely watched every video that has anything to do with the M10 series, and yours is the first to actually go through the cameras buttons, how they sound, etc etc. Just basic stuff a non owner is interested in. I think many of the reviewers forget what its like NOT having one or access to one.
I am happy you appreciate my video. Thank you! You'll have a lot of fun with your M10-R I am sure... The in between clips with the camera have special Sound design, the wheels do not sound like that if you turn or press it. That was me playing with sound design. ;-)

Thank you Florian, great video what Leica M is all about. I do have almost the same kit: M10 R, 35+50 Summilux, 75+90 APO summicron. Just recently added M10-M and couple other lenses. Greetings from Germany 🙂
@@flofroschmayer Hi Florian, startet out with a factory made silver red M10-R and thought best optics for affordable money. Though got the Voigtländer APO Lanthar couple 35+50. What I did not realize at that time: Focusing ergonomics (tab) and size do also matter. Still using them, mainly on the Monochrome. For dreamy colors and bokeh I have 35 mm summicron IV coded at Leica, giving complete different look than the 35 Summilux FLE. And it’s about the smallest M lens to day. Family heritage yielded Leica CL with 40 Summicron and 90 , 4 Elmar which is super compact. Recently the 21, 3.4 super Elmar yielded spectacular results in Asia. And of course, automatic Leicas Q2 and Q2 Monochrom Reporter do make fun as well. I do not like carrying a backpack anymore. Just the Oberwerth sling back, one camera - lens plus one or two other lenses. Life is easy with Leica M 🙂
Great video. I’ve enjoyed photography for over 40 years and have always wanted a Leica m. I shoot a Sony a7rv now but would like to get back to my basics. I’m currently in Europe and always look to visit Leica stores, was in one in Vienna yesterday. I’ve been looking at the Q3 but the m10-r really seems to be the one I want instead of the m11. Would you recommend the m10-r for someone getting started with Leica? It seems to be more stable and without problems that many m11 users seem to be having.
The M10-R is a fantastic choise. In the end, the rangefinder works the same as the M11. I personally like the M10 series. Unfortunately, I have no experience with the M11 series, but I heard about the firmware problems. I never had a problem with the M10-R. Being the last camera from the M10 series, you can safely say it is the best-developed M10 camera.
I got it at the Leica Store in Berlin like two years ago... It is a special Leica edition with also a red dot on the front. Maybe they still have it on their website?
