Members Only is the first episode of The Looney Tunes Show to feature Bugs and Lola. I enjoy how Lola is in this episode, giving Bugs a very hard time, and really cemented her character at being wacky, obsessive and often losing her train of thought. This episode led to me wanting to make more Looney Tunes Show reviews. I hope you enjoy!

Well, there’s something called “Regular Show”, which was a million times better, it has interesting stories, character development, and it’s not just romance or hanging out with friends. It took way more risks.

Liza Johnson well, it’s not very good. I hate Lola’s super annoying dumb blonde personality, it was a wrong way to go. Overall, LTS was not good. It was weak, dull, and didn’t take enough risks. I would’ve preferred if they just stuck with the old Tom and Jerry style rather than romance and hanging out with friends.

I honestly think Lola's version in The Looney Tunes Show isn't even "dumb" like most people believe. It can be seen in multiple episodes that she is very capable of learning new skills and doing things that are actually REALLY impressive. The "dumb" misinterpretation comes from Lola's absolute LACK of shame. She is also CONSTANTLY optimistic which also brings forth a cute naivete. She is SERIOUSLY iconic and I am SO happy to see people appreciating both her and this show more and more!

She shows to have mastered instruments and has even gone onto admit outsmarting Bugs (in Double Date, it was revealed she pretended to have feelings for Daffy as a way to get Bugs to admit feelings for her, which worked and led to them dating).

Compare her goofs to Daffy. They make similar mistakes. People focus on her "dumbness" and not as much on Daffy's because 1. She's a girl and fits into a certain trope that usually is only applied to girls. And 2. Her "dumbness" is not eclipsed by even greater faults like extreme selfishness and ego as with Daffy. Going off on a tangent, I think they should have been a couple for a few episodes at least. The Bugs situation is kind of sad to watch. He just doesn't care for her, and she's completely lost in adoration for him.

This show would be actually more appreciated by me, if not the fact that they have turned Bugs into a grumpy old man, while in the original he was a trollish troublemaker. Maybe they could at least show his backstory how he gives up on pranks and start to live an oridinary life.

@@MV60 I disagree. At first, I wasn't keen on the show, but I accepted it as it's own thing, and it just kept getting better. I liked budding relationships such as Tina and Daffy and how Lola started to get toned down a bit and made into a more unique character instead of just a psychopath. Watch the episode with Cecil the Turtle for nice throwbacks to the real looney-ness of the series. It's so true to life and very satisfying to see Bugs get back at him in a looney way.

@@TayoEXE I tried to give it a chance, quite frankly it was boring with everyone 100% typecast into their trait and fully predictable. Pretty much the same thing all the time with it usually starting with daffy being selfish and bugs fixing whatever.

But she actually has a personality. In the comics her personality is exactly like Tina’s. She was barely in space jam with little dialogue, so I don’t see how they could’ve put her entire personality in just a short time. Especially since the Looney tunes show is in fact A SHOW where she could pop in multiple times.

Ngl when I first saw this version of Lola when I was younger I was confused and upset because I felt like they made her into the typical dumb blonde. As I got older though I realised that the old Lola was pure sex appeal but young me saw her as strong and beautiful. I'm glad to say that with age I've come to love the "dumb" Lola now.

Tbh, that's a lot of what I don't like about the analysis of different Lolas. Even to this day, I see old Lola as strong and beautiful and not just pure sex appeal like people say. I love the new Lola and she deserves every bit of praise she's getting, but I want to give credit to the old Lola too.

I really loved this portrayal of Lola. She was relatable to me because she matched my childishness/weirdness and craziness perfectly. TLTS Lola was just, overall, a very fun character whereas Space Jam Lola's entire being was sexy and Bugs was pulled out of character to try and get with her which was super annoying.

@@seenl6eight258 Dude, me liking personality and good writing doesn't make me stupid. If anything, you not liking it makes _you_ stupid. Sure Lola was a dumb blonde but they didn't just make her purely stupid. They went all in on how dumb she could be sometimes and people almost always called her out on it. The only people that didn't were just as crazy as her. Space Jam Lola was sexy and that's basically it. She's not supposed to be a character you learn to like and love the writing for and character interactions with. She's just there. Even Lola's worst episodes in LTS give her more depth than Space Jam Lola and that's stupid. But, I guess I shouldn't expect you to understand good writing and characterization when the only word you can think of to describe LTS Lola is annoying.

I actually forget to mention about the CGI version of _Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner_ cartoon as a kid and it's awesome. Still, I never realized how people hated Lola in Space Jam because of her lack of personality. Yes, she's acting like Jessica Rabbit of Looney Tunes but I think I said she's just fine.

I didn't even Know Kirsten Wiig voiced her that's awesome! For me, I agree with this viewpoint. I could never really get behind the Looney Tunes Show version because of Lola's clumsily nature. Sure there were a few episodes where she did get a smile or laugh out of me, but I perfer the original.

PePe Le Pew is a wedding planner in the show? Okay, weirdness aside, that is *perfect casting* for him! I always remember seeing those shorts of him in love with a cat and trying to get with her by talking smooth and just never letting her go. His personality and the way he kept pursuing her always got me. It’s still weird to see him as a wedding planner, though. I mean, if I had to go with another one, it’d probably be The Newlyweds Game Show Host. Also, I love Lola’s voice! It’s mainly with how she rambles and when she gets conflicted on things. There are these inflections in her voice ghat just draw me in for some reason! Also, Rich Daffy is the guy we all want to be, but we know we most likely won’t be able to maintain being.

I for one could not stop laughing at this show entirely when it aired and Lola's crazy and dumb antics, I'll admit she's taken such a turn since Space Jam, but at least they didn't ruin her character and sweep it under the rug, now it's hard to believe that the playboy bunny we saw in Space Jam is that same bunny we have in Looney Tunes show

My favorite Lola moment ever is when she tricks Bugs into saying that he's her boyfriend and records it. Mys econd favorite moment is with her speaking on her phone in this episode, and when Bugs asks if she was talking to a friend, she responds with "Nope. Wrong number."

Lola is one of the biggest reasons I adore this show! I think part of her charm, for me personally, is I see many of my adhd traits in her. She's unfocused, unorganized, very scatterbrained, forgets what she's talking about mid-sentence, and is very talkative, etc. Her earlier episodes take this too an extreme, especially her in debut, for comedic effect, but by the time we get to season 2, these traits are still present, but more toned down to a realistic level, closer to what I personally experience. She's funny, and optimistic and I love having a character I can see myself in, a character where I can sit back and laugh and say "hahaha that's so me!"

Ashleigh Mcquitty In all honestly, I really hate that version of Lola, she was just super annoying and unlikable. Like, it’s fine to have her funny as long as she’s smart, but the way they did it in The Looney Tunes Show was anything but a good idea. She was just Amy Rose, but WAY more annoying.

Ashleigh Mcquitty I don’t watch or read anime or manga, so I don’t know much about Sakura other than she’s a big fan girl and she’s “useless”. I don’t find Amy Rose that annoying, but Lola was a million times worse than both of them. She was super annoying and stupid.

@vulpixle9659 Amy is much closer to the looney tunes show Lola than she ever would Sakura? Sakura and Amy do not have the same personality and Sakura is much more problematic. Amy is just as goofy and have many qualities that Lola has in this version when it comes to her bubbly nature and her crush on Bugs . The only difference between the two is that instead of Amy being an airhead , she's a hothead. Both are still sweet characters in their own regard and I adore both of them. I just don't think you understand Amy as a character and see her for surface level or out of context moments.

For me, she's more a case of being Vindicated by History(TM); I was extremely picky about The Looney Tunes Show as a kid, and because of that, I abandoned ship before I could even witness her debut. Years later, I saw both the Double Date review and that Tina and Lola compilation video and thought, "Wow, she's actually a really cool character!" and now I'm considering rewatching the show partially because of her, but mostly to see what else I missed

First: The Looney Tunes Show is one of the best programs of the 2010s, animated or otherwise. Second: Yes this version of Lola is more than just the "sexy character" from Space Jam. She's funny, crazy, and cute. Also sexy somehow. She has a great chemistry with Bugs as his crazy girlfriend, much as Daffy does as the crazy friend. But Lola also has a wacky, fun friendship with Daffy and other characters too, leading to some of the most amusing misadventures of the series.

rod's variety I think the main reason people ignored it was because it came out during Regular Show, which was undoubtedly a million times better. Overall: Bad marketing. If it came out during and replaced Loonatics Unleashed, then it would’ve gotten more attention.

I didn’t like Lola when I was a kid, not because I liked the Space Jam version of her, because I never saw Space Jam. I just thought her personality was obnoxious. But as I got older and I eventually watched Space Jam and saw how bland her character is in the movie, it made me like Lola in the Looney Tunes Show

At first I couldn't get into Lola, when this first came out. What got me liking the space jam version was that her *tomboy* personality. Flipping that in to an unstable psycho, girly girl really didn't do it for me. Though years went on, and I can say, Lola during this time may not been my top favorite (That goes to both Daffy & his girl), but she really is the most underappreciated character in the show. She made the show felt more traditonal Looney Tunes, and that was nice seeing.

Lola was voiced by Kath Soucie from the Rugrats in Space Jam and Kristen Wiig in The Looney Tunes Show and Kath Soucie will appear in Space Jam 2 as Lola again which is weird since Space Jam was done by Warner Bros

This and Sonic Boom were two underappreciated shows in their run time, they managed to tell jokes without relying too much on continuity or slapstick like you said. Thing is about Sonic Boom, I don't think you even need to know who Sonic is to enjoy it, you can just flick it on and enjoy.

Lola is literally just Kristen Wiig being unleashed. She's played similar characters before in live action and in VO (such as in the Despicable Me films), but this is her fully reaching the limits of her character stereotype. And I like it.

Daffy should have his own show that is similar to Curb Your Enthusiasm, in my opinion, because when the plot in an episode of The Looney Tunes Show focuses on Daffy, I consider it as Duck Your Enthusiasm, once again in my opinion.

Kirsten Wiig did such a good job in voicing Lola. Couldn't imagine anyone else playing her. Definitely looney and I love that about her. Extends WAY past just being a sex symbol and nothing more in space jam was very little screen time as well as knowing her for just a one liners. Has good points and definitely a lot of flaws which bugs eventually come around to accept later down the road when their relationship grows. I loved this show feel like it was so underrated

I remember my mom (who is a huge fan of classic Looney Tunes) was skeptical about this show when it first came out. As soon as I told her it was a sitcom and Wile E. Coyote is CGI now, she immediately raised an eyebrow. But after me telling her many times that it's still funny, she gave it a watch and luckily the first episode she ever saw was a Lola centric one. That character was enough to make her an instant fan!

I'm glad I started watching this show. I'm mostly familiar with the original Looney Tunes of the 40s to 60s, and I doubt I would have given this show a chance ten years ago. I'm really enjoying it now though. I think the actors really nail their roles, especially Lola's. It impresses me how she's able to rapidly change through so many moods and inflections and really sell that hyperactive, ditzy (probably over caffeinated) personality without just becoming super loud and annoying. Can't wait to watch more. Just hope Lola calms down a bit and doesn't stalk Bugs anymore!
