In this WACKY video, I discuss the new Super Mario Bros movie trailer 2, as well as the mario movie leaked footage and whether it will be good, or bad. I think the Mario Movie is good, actually. This is because I have a crush on Luigi, played by Charlie Day. Additionally, Mario is voiced by Chris Pratt, who is BAD. Bowser is voiced by Jack Black, and Donkey Kong is voiced by Markiplier. Mario also won game of the year over bill clinton.

I gotta say, with more clips being released, Chris Pratt's Mario voice has grown on me. Hearing him freaking out over the floating blocks and clear pipes sounded so natural! Just like how all the Voice actors have sounded really natural thus far. I think people tend to have a bias against Pratt because he's been so over utilized as an actor, but I still think he's great and his version of Mario is no doubt gonna be great!

The floating blocks line sounded good because he sounded Brooklyn in that line, and Mario is supposed to an Italian in Brooklyn. However most of his lines do not sound that good because most of the ones we've heard so far do not sound Brooklyn "I got this no problem" just sounds like Pratt

Yeah, and does Mario's voice really matter that much? Not every movie is perfect. Even those Sonic movies had flaws. Everyone just has to get over themselves.

chris pratt suits this version of mario cause this is a origin story for this movies version of mario, this isn't the exact same mario from the games sure it's the same character but this is the movies take on the story ( just like the sonic movies, game sonic & movie sonic are the same character but their both completely different takes on the character/story ) It's 100% okay to not like the voice but it's not an excuse for some people to say the movie will be bad in general because of it i guarantee this will be the best & highest grossing video game movie of all time!

I was very excited and happy but my biggest problem is they might be trying to add too much in the movie you can see his Tanooki Suit they even do Mario kart and apparently there’s a character from Mario galaxy like one of the star characters I think they were trying to cram too much into this but hopefully they make it really well

That's how you know the voice actor is doing their job. French Mario sounds like Mario, that's voice acting. English Jack Black sounds like Bowser, that's voice acting. English Chris Pratt sounds like Chris Pratt, that's just a celebrity actor being a celebrity actor.

I would like to comment as a reminder, that Chris Pratt is a seasoned voice actor. (Cooper Daniels from Ben10, random guy in the Batman, Emmet from the Lego Movie, and the Elf dude in Onward). Not to mention, nobody should judge a full performance based on a few trailers.

Honestly idk why it's a bad idea for Chris to just so his regular voice with a slight accent and the French dub while is good but isn't good for a 2 hour movie Plus the footage you used was Chris at his least impressive, it would have been better to use clips from the tv spots Chris saying Hello and his oh so these blocks are just floating here you can hear the accent more. Lastly Chris sounding normal fits the narrative their going for here, Mario supposed to be this random guy. None the less good video 👍

I’m not worried so much about the movie itself, it looks fantastic and if nothing else will be a fun ride to watch. But the bad voice acting choices still kills me. That in my opinion is going to ruin the rewatchability for many fans. And even if some fans just get used to it, they shouldn’t have to. This is “the Mario movie,” I was kinda hoping to hear “Mario” in it. So far the only voice I think is timeless for Mario fans is the voice everyone loves which is Jack Black. You already know the deal, he lives the role. But why do we only get one main character who voice acts like the character they’re playing as while the rest just sound mostly like themselves.

I actually don’t like Charlie Day as Luigi. I would criticize him the exact same way that everyone else criticizes Chris: it’s literally just Charlie Day’s voice. His voice DOES fit better, but Luigi really doesn’t sound like that. People just headcanoned themselves into thinking he sounds like that. But really I wish Chris tried a little harder. Although I’d challenge anyone to imagine a “LETSA GO” like in the video games, when Mario is practically shitting his pants about to fight DK. His posture, his volume, it fits with how Chris voiced it.
