World’s teaser was exciting and action-packed because it had to showcase the combat concept of hunting giant Monsters to a new audience. With Wilds, knowing everyone knows what MH is about, they can confidently highlight what’s new from World.
I know people say that the game is far away but 2024 is only a few weeks from now and if this game does release early 2025 then the game is only 1 year away from release. They're also probably gonna add more to the game thanks to World's success and because it's the 20th anniversary for MH.
I think it's early 2025 because they'll be showing more in Summer which gives them 6 months to advertise the game and it's before they show their financial earnings for the investors.
They revealed this way too early. Im gonna have an aneurysm waiting for it. Ive been waiting for a return to form. I love the immersive world and hunter experience... It looks like we are going back to a true monster hunter. Time for the simulation
@@AifritGaming yep, Also the image of the logo says a lot, maybe we have 2 final bosses and babies of them that we have to kill HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that's crazy
I highly doubt it's a true open world. How would co-op story progress and join requests work? How would boss arenas like Castle Schrade work? How would the core gameplay loop be preserved in an open world? I flat out don't think it would work. Its probably not open world, just bigger more immersive zones then World had, and probably longer hunts with bigger focus on preparation and tracking
I love what youre saying however Worlds fantastic open world did not supplement what its combat design and fine tuning lacked. Rise despite its severely lacking graphics and open world vastly improved every other detail and i hope and pray Wilds proves to be the best of both worlds
You’re right, I look forward to seeing whether Capcom can take the good from Rise and move it into Wilds. That being said I would prefer the pacing and kind of “superhero” strength of the kamura hunter to be tuned back a just little bit.
The trailer gives me major anxiety haha. I knew it was coming but not so much earlier. It's until 2025 but we don't know if the clutch claw will make a reappearance🤢 God I hope not😰
They really out to make wilds *the one* I really hope they bring back the journal from world. Flipping open a book to show your map and journal was such a incredible concept that massively boosted immersion. If they take the world building from wirld and combine it with combat from sunbreak itll be goty material.
If you go back and pay attention to each game you'll see that the focus on ecology and grounded design was always there. World was a huge step toward bringing the ecology to the forefront down to the story and connected map design. Wilds is going to push that even further now that the devs have hardware capable of matching their vision.
When one talks about the limitations of the Nintendo Switch when it came to MH Rise's development, most point out to the downgraded graphics, but in reality it was the environment design that suffered. The lush and sometimes labyrinthine biomes containing all sorts of traps and other interactable in World are the kind of stuff Rise was lacking in. Here's hoping that Wilds truly pushes Monster Hunter's environments to the next level using the power of next gen hardware.
That's why MH Rise feels so empty for me. they reduce the map design complexity and Monsters density because of switch limitations. I'm so excited to play Monster Hunter again.
Couldn’t agree more. I do love Rise and Sunbreak for gameplay but it simply never has had the full hunt experience that World had. It was really more Monster Fighter. I’m so happy the hunt experience seems still very important to Capcom despite having to take steps to modernize the genre.
Except that this focus on the world is what ruined World for me, because as a result the combat was extremely dull, so were the monsters move sets (compare World to Rise Pukei Pukei, Rathalos, etc). The armors and weapons were both also extremely dull. It didn't take until the end of Iceborne for them to catch up on these things...
Also the world being the "true main attraction of the game" ? Certainly not, it is the monsters, or at least it was for many generations, and the maps were really just zones for you to fight the monsters in
Funny enough I just watched a video saying “how there will never be another monster hunter world” And I think this proved them wrong. Monster hunter world was a revolution. And we are getting another!
Problem for me was that the combat areas were too empty and all of the interesting parts of the map were in obscure corners you only go to while gathering or collecting spiribirds. World had lots of texture in the maps and environmental traps/helpers that weren't always obvious, Rise just has flat areas with glorified item pickups scattered around.
The mechanisms of rise feel very “gamey”. Monsters interact with each other in a very goofy and unnatural way. Then suddenly you’re controlling one of them. It felt like the maps were initially made with loading between areas in mind like previous titles but then they had to connect them together later in development.
