This video looks at the Boston Celtics and why the nba is terrified of them since they have every single player re-signed from last years team that won the nba championship lead by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown
As a lifelong Celtics' fan, I am just looking to enjoy watching this team. If we get another banner, that's icing on the cake. The fact is that this team hung Banner 18 and did it while playing beautiful basketball.
@@aesirgaming1014 the Brazilians play the jogo bonito of football. The 86 Celtics played the jogo bonito of basketball. The 2024 Celtics played the jogo bonito of basketball to attain banner #18.
@@RafaelSang-tq8ur so your saying every team in the league sucks because we took down everyone in the east then took down the team that beat everyone in the west
The Celtics team makes more than $500 million per year, all in all, and that's before the new media deal -- and the media deal is the biggest part of revenue. The restrictions on trades and hiring is really the main issue from the apron spending.
After getting all the pressure off themselves now they are just purely going to ball out. A back to back is possible, a 4 peat though 😂😂😂. I love my Celtics and hope to see us do that. We literally are the only franchise with the ability to ever do that 😎
Golden State was a Draymond ejection away from possibly 4-peating. Lakers could’ve done it in the early 2000’s. I’m a Celtics fan too, stop cashing in whatever good karma we might have with pompous shit-talking. The basketball gods dgaf, you saw what happened with Hayward, Reggie Lewis, Len Bias. Do not tempt them.
Now it's even worse for the NBA, since Tatum is motivated by the humbling experience in Paris. "First team to four-peat"?!? The Celtics have already done that, back-to-back.
Lonnie Walker is going to prove to be a great addition as a 2nd teamer along with Baylor Shierman for the guards who can pair up with Hauser, and Watson, and Queta.
Denver has been neutered again losing their bench. Wolves and Orlando too young still and not good enough offense. Biggest threat is probably NY and OKC. Bucks could be sneaky good, but depends on how settled Dame is now.
The 2024 Celtics maybe the greatest team of all time. The team got six 2 way players with Holiday, White, Brown, Tatum, Porzingis and Horford who all play on both ends. Analytically, the Celtics are the best when it comes to generating 3 pointers cause they make and take a lot of 3s. But unlike the prime Harden Rockets team wit D’Antonie, the Cs have more offensive diversity and more ball movement compared to those Rockets team that relied on ISO ball. The Cs constantly moved without the ball with backdoor cuts, ran pindowns, have guards & wings set screens not just bigs, have players post up & the team used post up plays often and had multiple guys handle the ball and playmake. The Cs spaced out 5 out offense is hard to stop and everybody on the team is a matchup nightmare. The Cs can 3 peat if they’re healthy and I feel the Cs are the best team ever. The Cs seem likely to 3 peat if healthy due to the team locking in everybody with extensions & not losing any key players and even adding new acquisitions like Lonnie Walker who can give them a spark off the bench. I feel the 2024 Cs can beat the 87 Cs, 91 Bulls, 96 Bulls, 01 Lakers and the 2017 Warriors cause of the talent, the skill, the size & length, athleticism and just the math with the 3s this team generates
very good video, but the restrictions are not quite true... while at the 2nd apron, they cant aggregate salaries (put multiple players together to acquire one bigger salary), they can trade one of their larger contracts (like Jrue) and trade him for players on smaller salaries, as long as the guys they bring back are less than or equal to the salary they are trading
I love my Celtics but 4 in a row? Hell no hahaha. Back to back is possible, 3 peat is a big maybe, but I’d prefer a few through this decade, maybe three championships total, by then having 20 championships 😅
i’ve been a lifelong celtics fan, and i think i speak for them all when i say that it’s very unlikely we 4 peat and we’d be happy with 4 over the course of tatum and browns career
@@joshualewis4991 i’m just being realistic you never know how a team will build or how guys will develop or even if we have an off series. completely healthy nobody is beating us that’s for sure
Gotta see how the role players play next year before we can even claim repeat. Remember the way Grant Williams just disappeared the next season? These things happen
That’s one of biggest things I’d really love to see in the coming season, for guys like quetta or Tillman to take another step toward greatness. Especially with the added minutes they’ll get while KP recovers so that Al can get the proper rest. Also I just wanna see these guys reach their fullest potential. Even a rookie like schierman or Watson making some progress would be awesome. I really liked oshae Brissett, it’s too bad he left but I understand that he had to do what’s best for his career in going somewhere he can actually play decent minutes. For a guy that deep on the bench, he made a petty legit impact on a handful of close wins. The dude clearly has the insane athleticism and feel for the game to be a starter somewhere if he can just polish his shot /get it to be more consistent. The rebounding and defense impressed me. If he does get the shot to be reliable, that’s a very complete player. Anyway I’m fairly hopeful for the development of some of these guys-it’s always great to find a gem… and with the new cba restrictions it’s only become more critical to find those types of guys and have a strong system to help the young talent grow into real nba players. I trust brad and the coaching staff
@@ramzeezthamightygod I’m with you on the impact Brissett had, even with such a limited role. Deff seen it with my own eyes. For me though a crucial role moving forward is our bench shooting. It’s been well known that this current version of the Celtics go as the 3 ball goes. So all though Pritchard and Hauser played serviceable seasons with a decent 9ppg . We need them both over 10 to keep this going. Their continued growth and success will provide a major impact. I’ll go out on a limb and say personally, I think everything they’ve done up to this point is over achieve so it can only get better, however it’s also true that no one was really checking for these guys. If they can become household names and really make their mark on the league , repeating just seems inevitable 🤷🏻♂️
@@dragonslayerthegod9284 Yeah good point, as great as Hauser and Pritchard are we haven’t exactly had that reliable 10-15ppg guy or two off the bench… they’ve both become so much more well rounded as players that they’ve been able to play through those cold streaks and still contribute more than enough to stay on the floor, but the bench scoring can really be so volatile with how streaky their shooting was this past season. If they could just become a bit more level with that part of their game instead of all the peaks and valleys, it would definitely help sure up that piece of the puzzle… but anyways, I couldn’t do .000001% of what they do so I don’t wanna be unappreciative cause those mfs can hoop 😅 I agree wholeheartedly that they’ve given us every reason to believe in their trajectory as players, and clearly both put in so much work to improve in the exact areas the team needs from them. They really are so close to reaching that household name status like you said, I don’t wanna jinx it but it does almost feel inevitable at this point.
The Celtics were already the first team to 4-peat. And I’d bet a lot of money they never do it again. I’m a Celtics fan but also a realist - the luxury tax aprons will snuff out any potential dynasty in the future. That’s what the league wants.
Boston Celtics Will Give Teams in East Problems Even in The 2025 Playoffs Also 2025 Nba Finals Depends if They Are playing Dallas Mavericks or Different team in the Western Conference
@@unrulybillSomewhat probably but yeah, but out of all the teams in the east, I think they’re the only ones that could be capable of stopping the Celtics from going back to the finals again next season, just as long as they fill in more center depth that is, but they look like they’ve gotten a lot better this offseason so far
