Hello there - I'm glad you've taken the time to look at my videos and this description box!
My name is Frank and I've been teaching post-graduate programs in technical subjects for almost 25 years. My Master's Degree is in Learning and Technology (from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC - where they filmed the X-Men movies!).
I'm a Microsoft Certified Trainer (since 1998), a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (since 1999), and have a lot of different technical certifications (I even had my own consultancy and was a member of the Apple Consultants Network for a few years. I like technology a lot.
I've been fascinated with learning and how to improve learning for years. Especially how to leverage technology for learning. From productivity Applications like Teams, OneNote, Excel, and the entire Microsoft Office suite to tools such as Mindmapping, Metaverse, VR, AR, and more - I like to see how we can use tools to leverage our ability to teach and learn.
Learning and Technology RU-vid is about helping students and teachers improve their learning by leveraging technology tools. Whether remote teaching, distance learning, hybrid teaching, or completely in the classroom - we can use technology to enhance our skills. When you do the highlighting you should then scan the page number so you can reference it again. I do it that way. I am dyslexic and this pen is a life saver.

The highlights are text files - so you could put them into a program called ANKI - which is a great flashcard APP

Can I use it to scan document fir translation on the phone,maybe a letter written in another language maybe German to English?

Hi, I would like to know a little bit more about the Camera,. I was under Impression the that you took a picture and it would read back to you.

The camera is in the tip of the pen - you run it along the text and it captures the text and can then read it back. It’s pretty cool.

Hi! Very Interesting channel. I am just currently looking for a pen scanner with an excellent dictionary , possibly also thesaurus for English, German and Italian( Italian, my mother tongue not compulsory); I could be also only a very good monolingual German when scanning German and English when scanning English. Otherwise ENG-German translator. My main usage wouldn't be to translate upper intermediate vocabulary but more advanced one;I am both for the English and German language an advanced learner ( translator and interpreter level C2); for me it would essential to understand what kind of monolingual or bilingual dictionaries and thesauruses are built-in for an OFF-LINE translator or monolingual definition of a word or entry ; my ideal use would be to scan the occasional word I don't know the meaning of whilst I am with a book without internet connection in order not to lose the flow and speed and have to look up up in a dictionary or type on a laptop with internet connection. Could you recommend one? I am not really interested in other languages like 116 languages! but German and English with excellent off-line dictionaries built-in ( to give you an example DUDEN for the German language and Oxford/Cambridge or Merriam Webster) possibly but not paramount also with British English /American English and German pronunciation and or IPA; all the pen scanners I have seen so far have basic/intermediate built-in off-line dictionaries which would not help for very advanced learners but geared to intermediate young learners/travellers with a multitude of foreign languages instead. I hope you can help me! Again congrats for your channel. Cheers!

Unfortunately, I’m not sure if any pen scanner that has this level of functionality. If I was doing these types of work, I might prefer a better one l scanner and some dedicated Application software.

I’ve scanned quite a few - a paragraph or so. That’s generally the largest note I take at one time.

How can I get it because it’s Chinese when I open it up how do I get it to have it in English? Does it do that and then when you open it up it’s Chinese do you understand I don’t it’s just how it is.
