Definitely popped a wheelie I didn't expect on my first bike, leaving a movie theater. People cheered. I had a helmet on so they couldn't see the terror on my face and thought I did it on purpose.

A few of my Triumph buddies said I should upgrade my '07 Bonneville 865cc to the new Triumph T120 cuz it was great so I believe you man! I ended up buying a '17 Triumph Bobber and now I'm selling my wife's Sportster after getting her an '18 Triumph Bobber. We just love the looks of the Bobber and it's so easy to ride and has tons of torque!It's like riding a bmx bike. Super light and nimble

Thank u so much, enjoyed the review, own a 2018 t120 black, 6 speed, traction control, abs, rider modes, center stand, heated grips, radiator, fly by wire, excellent handling, ample power and torque, smooth and comfortable, no it's not a harley, it's not a gold wing, just a great all around bike that wouldn't cause any disappointments.

Got a 2016 T100 last year. Enough power, but a sixth gear would have been nice. I like the fake carb fuel injector look, and the cream and gold paint is very classic. At 500 lbs it feels heavy standing still but not when it's moving. Perfect bike for me as it's my first street bike in 45 years. Triumph hit a home run with the modern Bonneville line.

Enjoy your video... Keep Looking UP!!! First Bike I had...started out with the best.. 1967 Triumph Bonneville 650 CC with Amal GP Carbs, no choke , total weight of bike 363 lbs, 46 HP... She was a dream... new bikes just don't have the responsiveness , it was so light you could get out of a lot of jambs .. it was a bike that taught me a lot, lost a lot of bike parts due to vibration, (the British apparently had never heard of lock washers). Even had a carburetor come adrift, was only hanging on by one bolt...lost numerous valve covers... then I discovered Lock Tite and never lost another part... LOL... still couldn't keep the glass in the rear view mirrors, vibration from that thumpin twin would destroy them,

Hey SRK cycles!!! Love the content. I have a 2018 Bonneville T120 with 45K miles on it and I ride the thing EVERYWHERE! I live in Vermont so we are a bit locked in with snow right now but I'm planning on running through your neck of the woods a few times this year coming up, may swing by to do a vlog, just cause. I will be pushing close to 80K miles by the time we wrap up the 2020 season and hoping to be at 100K miles on my Bonneville by mid 2021 season in which I'll need a new daily runner... Great motorcycle but I have run into some issues on my Bonneville T120 since I bought it brand new. FYI. Keep up the great videos I watch them through the snow until I can get out in April. Best,

If I'm going to take a long ride I'm definitely taking my Electra Glide but if I am going for a day ride under a hundred fifty miles the Bonneville is my choice because this bike Rocks. I don't normally comment on your videos but this time I had to make the exception. Keep up the great videos on these bikes I love it

After wanting this bike since 2016 I finally bought one and I'm really happy about it but you always have to be careful about what you wish for . Now that I have two Harley's and a Triumph my best friend for two decades passed away a few days ago and his wife told me that it was his wish to leave me his 06 Street Glide ... I'd give them all away if I could have my best friend Bob back for just a little longer. You can have lots of bikes or toys but what does it all mean if you can't share it with your best friend. RIP Robert Hicks 6/2/19. Another 911 casualty.

Last year I took my 18 T120 Black on a 2000 mile 4 day trip from Fort Worth Tx to Big Bend and back- best time of my life and the bike was super comfortable. With a few mods, this bike can definitely be a distance tourer. That’s another awesome fact about these bikes: You can morph them into a bike that suits your needs.

I enjoyed your video on the T120. I would love to own one, but due to my wife's health issues we had to go to a trike. She has battled cancer eight times and when the cancer in her brain caused seizures we felt if she had a seizure on a two wheeler it might cause an accident injuring both of us and possible others. On the trike, I feel I should be able to pull over and tend to her needs. Last August she had brain surgery (12 surguries in ten years) to remove the cancer and has not had a seizure since. But she now walks with a walker. She walks out in the garage and crawls up on the trike and we stil go for a ride every day the weather is right. The curvey road you were on is pretty, but we live in SE Ohio where you not only have plenty of curves but also hills to go up and down which makes you pick up speed sometimes faster than you want and slows the bike when going up hill, makes things more interesting. We ride in the Hocking Hills region and the Wanye National Forest a lot. The backtop roads are always in good repair and the hills and curves are just right for a motorcycle. If you ever come to SE Ohio, check this area out, I think you'd ove it. Thanks again for yur video.

I was used to a late model V-Strom 1000 when I rode this and I was still impressed with the wicked grunt. What a great bike! I was happy with the stock suspension, engineer brother wasn't. Up graded suspenders and a mellow aftermarket pipe.....perfection.

How did it handle compared to the V Strom? I have one and am thinking about this or the Bobber...
@davephillips5868
@davephillips5868 5 лет назад
@@benjamincs1 The bike I could compare directly with the 1000 was an XC 800 triple. It had a very nice fluid tipover into the corners. It felt lighter although it wasn't. Getting back on the V2 1000, there was more stability and the bike just flowed from corner to corner. Not better or worse, just different. It was sometime later when I rode the 1200. It felt like a Triumph, it had that same kind of fluid tipover into corners but not as agile as the lighter 800. Still, it was a treat to ride. The only downside was the suspension. I was ok with it but I don't push things. Engineer brother wasn't. He spent the big bucks to upgrade the suspension on the 1200 Bonnie and said it still wasn't as good as his XC had been stock. He's also not happy with the brakes on the 1200. I know from my experience with an Intruder 1400 and a first gen V-Strom 1000 that HH pads and stainless steel braided lines would take care of any braking deficiency handily. That's a cheap upgrade and a huge improvement. The stock suspension on my 14 V-Strom was very good and the brakes were outstanding, but it was a tall bike and I'm getting older. I like the idea of that Bobber as well. It looks very comfortable.
@benjamincs1

@davephillips5868
@davephillips5868 5 лет назад
@@benjamincs1 We all have different needs. I'm now retired and cost to buy, run and insure has become paramount if I want to be able to ride. Also speedlimits have been lowered here and a bike like the T120 or my V-strom 1000 are not only expensive to feed but they aren't much fun slow. I was putting way more effort and concentration into not speeding than I was into the actual riding. A good test ride in the twisties on a Honda CB 500F was more motorcycle fun that I'd had in years. Smooth, great handling and it was just so effortless. Cheap to run too. I also traded the V-Strom for a Burgman 400 for camping touring and distance riding. Not beautiful, not cool, doesn't matter. I can ride much farther in comfort, with less effort and strain. Lighter easier to manage machines will keep me riding a good bit longer than otherwise.

my first bike was an 85 honda cb450. It was a giant p.o.s and money pit. I remember one time it was cold-ish outside and whenever the bike was cold there was a solid 2-3 second delay between twisting the throttle and the response. I was trying to ride with a friend and my hand slipped and released the clutch just as the bike decided to rev, I popped a wheelie, came right back down, and promptly fell off the side of the bike. My friend and a passerby both laughed their asses off at me after they realized I was fine. The only thing bruised was my ego.

I have a 2007 Bonneville 865cc. It’s white and orange. The pinstripe is hand painted and the tech even painted his name on the tank underneath near the seat. I think the bike is beautiful but I have a Thruxton seat to give it a little more modern profile. The engine is a little less than explosive but I don’t care. I don’t ride too hard here in Houston. I mostly cruise and stay under 70. For that, my Bonnie is perfect. The only thing I’ll warn you, once you buy a Triumph, you’ll want another! You’ll crave a sister-bike immediately. My next Triumph will be a Thruxton or a Triple R. I’m a Triumph lover now!

How are the Bonnevilles for longer distance riding? Are they pretty comfortable? I currently ride an Indian Scout but its not comfortable for longer rides, at least not for me. I'm 6 foot, 230 lbs and I'm kind.of looking for something more confortable.

Do a de-cat, install a Motone X pipe and some BC or Remus slip ons and the bike transforms into a beast.

So I’ve always wanted a triumph! But because of how tall I am I’ve never taken the time to actually look or sit on one. Now that I see this review, it looks as if I may fit perfect on one.

I'm a tall T100 owner. You will feel cramped on it, and want to sit too far back on the seat.

You should have ridden the Speed Twin. It's like a Speed Trip got it on with a T120. It is the best.

I got a 2020 T120 Bonneville a few weeks ago, traded a Yamaha SCR950 in for it, and I'm a real new rider. But I love it, though I have to be careful since every now and then I let the clutch out too quickly and it nearly surges so fast, I feel like I'm close to falling off the back of the bike.

Im thinking of getting one of these. The1200 motor is what the range needed. The 900s had the performance of cb350s! Do i need my zx14r with a cruise speed of 90 in a legal lmit of 65? I have my cruiser for two up rides and laying low. I thought of a 70s Bonnie but they were not reliable new let alone 40 years later. So i must get my last bike. A 120 or a streetglide. The zx may have to go as icannot afford more than two.

Just bought a used t100. As someone who has never riden before I do anticipate me dropping it. Eventually though, once i get some experience, I want a t120.

I like the pre ride prayer. I do that. T120 is not a beginner bike no? My current is a 2015 T 214 with low miles so maybe T 120 in a few years.

Great video! I see that this video is about two years old so I hope you are still checking out the responses. But, what do you think of this bike in comparison to a Royal Enfield 650? Have you test rode the RE if so I would like to see it. So you think if a person has multiple bikes it's a good bike. What about as a all arounder or single bike?

I had a RE 650 Interceptor for 5 months before trading it in on my T120. The RE 650 is a great starter bike (or if you're on a tight budget) but it's nowhere close to the Triumph in terms of fit & finish or performance. The T120 is an amazing bike w/tons of low-end torque. Once again, the RE 650 is a great starter bike but if you want the real deal get the T120.

@p-dub7422 Год назад
@@scottroberts4551 Thanks! I can see your point. The RE do you think it had quality components and sufficient HP? The T 120 is very nice!
@scottroberts4551
@scottroberts4551 Год назад
@@p-dub7422 If the Triumph build quality is 10/10, the RE 650 build quality is ~5/10 - it's all there and works, just not as well built. I'm not knocking the RE650, I think for the price it's amazing but everything is a step below - mirrors, seat, engine chrome, transmission (my RE650 occasionally experienced false neutrals from. 4th to 5th gear), signals, etc., but it's still a super fun and easy to ride bike. Power was sufficient - I replaced the stock exhaust pipes with TEC slip ons, added the DNA air filter + airbox kit, and a booster plug - that really increased the performance. If my budget was $6k, I'd get the RE650, if I could afford the T120, I'd get it, and that's what I did.

@@scottroberts4551 Excellent! The example of the build quality and comparison tells me all that I need to know. This is one of the clearest examples I have heard from anyone about a bike. This kind of example resonates with me. I want to thank you for doing this. I will move on to something else. Once again, thanks!
