The UH-1N Twin Huey is a medium-sized, twin-engine utility helicopter that was developed by Bell Helicopter for the United States military. It is a variant of the iconic UH-1 Iroquois helicopter, commonly known as the "Huey" which gained fame during the Vietnam War. The UH-1N entered the US Military inventory in 1970 to provide search and rescue capabilities. The missions expanded to include missile security, distinguished visitor, survival school and test support.

I flew in them many times. Repelled and jumped out quite a few times. One time, an autorotate crash ...that was not fun...one tough bird

Best helicopter ever built. Legendary, iconic and tough.. Its hard to imagine it first flew over 65 years ago. It was a bird away ahead off its time. Anyone ever hear off the Bell 533....check it out..

At a local air show a Huey was a kids jungle gym with kids tugging hanging and swinging all over it, Pilot was cool about it'. The new Lakota the pilot was a wreck - The helicopter was too weak for the kids to play on. It tells you a lot about them.

The UH-1N does not have a stab bar, the one you show is a UH-1H model.

@@CnK1113 The UH-1H known as the H model DOES have a stab bar correct, the UN-1N does NOT have a stab bar because I worked on UH-1N models in the Marine Corps and I know what a UH-1N model looks like.

@@CnK1113 Did you not read what I wrote? I worked on the UH-1N and AH-1W helicopters in the Marnie Corps active duty and the N model does NOT have a stab bar, that is the H model. So your wrong.
