Very well articulated. Everything you said is what I've been thinking for a long time. I've never understood why WLC is willing to call Genesis 1-11 a form of myth simply because pagan societies also have elements in common with the Genesis story. It baffles me that he doesn't see that Gensis 1-11 is literally true, and then the pagan societies throughout history have common stories in their culture because their myths are based on the literal truth found in Genesis 1-11.
I am currently teaching Genesis in Space and Time by Schaeffer (Sunday School). This video is on point for my research. If we can't depend on Gen 1-11, then we might as well toss the whole book. Jesus and ALL of the apostles believed in the first 11 chapters of the bible as space/time history.
I would have to ask them how the rest of Scripture is read. Like if this is only literary, then why not take the resurrection as literary and not literal? Also, if you can twist the early books of Scripture like this, then the prophetic books are open to this, too. All of this then undermines Scripture and leaves us with nothing more than a book with neat stories in it, but nothing more.
@@lukemorrison703 i don't read scripture, lane craig is a joke "low bar bill" the atheists call him cos he doesn't even care if christianity is true, he "just wants gods love". religion is a joke and it's becoming more widely known that you can't even agree the basics - it's blatantly obvious it's ALL myth, not just the talking snake joke.
I think you should engage with Gavin Ortlund. He has a short article called “Why the Framework View of Genesis 1?” and two videos responding to Ken Ham that would be good to look at. I don’t think the strictly literal interpretation is obvious and Gavin gives many examples of theologians from Augustine to Warfield etc. who held other beliefs. I don’t believe in macro-evolution and do believe in inerrancy.
even lane craig doesn't believe adam and eve were real, and why worship a god who can't protect the most precious object in the universe, god is crap at everything he does. , god gets tired of sin and decides to wipe it out, he waits until all the babies are grown up, cos we can't have jesus drowning babies, so he waits, then he tells noah, a really nice bloke, to get all the animals together, cos although god made all the animals using no effort at all, he wants a good story, so noah and family get all the animals onto this boat, then it starts raining, then all the sinners drown, and presto, after all that we still have sin and god;s chosen one, noah turns out to be a drunk, so tell me, when was the last time god succeeded in anything, cos he screws up everytime and blames me.
