You totally got me started in the whole air gun thing I bought three Hatsans in The last month LOL, I bought a model 95, the 125 sniper in camo, and a 125 sniper black and 25 caliber, these are awesome guns and they're all extremely accurate and powerful, and a great value I don't think that you could beat them at the price point! keep up the good work man
After sighting in at 60 feet, I could easily cover 5 shots with a nickel ru-vid.comUgkxQt2uORDRfFOVSrO4idv4B90ThT6EOnEL ! Truly a pleasure to shoot! Scope was easy to adjust for eye relief. Only problem the varmints must have seen it delivered lol!Update: So impressed with shot groups at 30 yards I purchased a Hammers 3×9 with adjustable Objective scope! Now a true nail driver!
Your review turned me on to this rifle. Two weeks later I bought one on Amazon. I love this rifle. Your review is right on point, much like this rifle is on target. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
That was a really good review. Honest and downtown earth. You hit all the points that matter to anyone buying an air rifle. I own German and British rifles and was interested to hear you say that Hatsan use German steel. Will definitely look at Hatsan now. Turkey is a great country and the people are hard working and proud of their nation. That for me means they take pride in what they make which supports your review of these guns. Thank you and good luck from the UK.
Been looking for my first air rifle, a really good one. I came across your video and with some more research I decided to get one. Made in Turkey with German steel parts is what sold this rifle. Except now the Hatsan 95 Vortex air rifle is now available with the QE Version, Quiet Energy Integrated Sound Moderator. The Hatsan 135 QE Carnivore Big Bore Breakbarrel Air Rifle 30 cal really looks awesome but for my first air rifle I think the 95 22 cal will be the way to go. Thanks for the video! God bless!!
Great review and very informative, easy to understand for newbies. Plain and simple English even a new pellet gun user like me made it easy to understand. I wish there was videos like this 3 years ago before I purchased the Stoeger and Gamo break barrel. You're right about misleading info on alloy pellets FPS. It never shoot straight, so what's the use of even including it. I've since upgraded to other PCP. I still enjoy break barrels because of its endless shooting, you will never run out of air and good work out too for you biceps.
I completely agree... if your looking for a classic looking gun. If you are looking for a nice looking well made classic gun I would go with this. But if your looking for an awesome looking well built modern gun I would go with a "ignite black ops tactical sniper pellet rifle." It is a great gun, modern looking, well built, and has a great feel.
Any screws that may work themselves loose, will effect accuracy. Get some loctite at your sporting goods store and put a drop on every screw that you put on the the mount and scope rings and the large screw, holding the stock and reciever. All problems will stop. I have the most accurate shots with this rifle and very much recommend it. I shoot acorns at 45 yrds and my rifle uses several brands of ammo, very well. I did switch out the scope for a better one, "Surefire Mildot". My 35 yrd shots are often, three in one hole, with HN Hunter Extremes 9.26 and RWS Superdomes 8.5 and Beeman Kodiaks 10.65. Caution though, all these pellets will pass throught 3/4 pine, like butter.
Good advice! Thanks for the agreement on the gun. I shoot pecans in the fall off my tree out back. I love it! Feel free to subscribe if you haven't already. Thanks!
I'm glad to see that some major retailers are carrying it on their shelves. And no it's not anywhere near as loud as a firecracker. It's more like a nail gun. Just a small thud sound.
I came across your video completely by accident while looking for reviews on the Browning Leverage 177 cal. air rifle. I had already bought a Gamo from Cabela's, but after watching your video and doing research on the gun, I took it back for a refund. Then bought the Hatsan 95 .177. WOW! You weren't lyin. For the price, the gun is fantastic. The quality would cost double on most guns from what I've seen. So Thank You Very Much. Buckskin Bill Indiana
William Lewis :) You're welcome. I just hate to see others get ripped off on a cheap airgun when there is another gun SO much better for the money out there. Thanks for the comment
Great video Mannievh. I am a proud owner of a Hatsan 125 TH chambered in .22. This gun comes with a beautiful thumb hole stock, I only wish it had a wood stock option but I'll take the composite thumb hole stock for weather resistance... This gun belts .22 cal. lead pellets out the muzzle at 1000 fps. over 1010 fps. in my case. I was able to pick this gun up with the nitro piston for only $265 at Pyramid Air. One thing I like about Pyramid Air is if you order this gun with the nitro piston, they will send the spring piston that the came stock with gun to you along with the gun. What that means is, if ever my nitro piston quit working, I could still throw in the spring piston. Just a little added security I guess. I do find like you that my gun is heavy and with a bad back, I am pretty much limited to shooting it off a bench. The nitro piston makes it less hold sensitive so I can shoot off of sand bags and still keep my groups very tight. I can only say that I agree with you about the build quality of this brand. I haven't adjusted the trigger as this will void the warranty but like you I had no need to adjust it. When I first got the gun the trigger pull was about 4 pounds but now that the gun is well broken in the trigger pull has come down to below 3 pounds and is as smooth as silk. I have gotten groups as small ad .25" at 50 yards with it. Think about that for a moment. Those are sub M.O. A. groups by a very good margin. I have found that at that range I get greater accuracy with the heavier pellets such as the JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy pellets. I find that with over 31 foot pounds behind them, the Crosman Premier hollow points are very accurate out to about 30 yards. Beyond that distance they are satisfactory. I might get better results with the domed version of these pellets but I only use them because I can get them at Walmart. Thanks for posting this video. Your review sounds like an informed review, unlike a lot of reviews I find on youtube. Great job.
Great review!.. I just bought the same model on Ebay; in a .25 cal. The price was just as you said.. The .25 may be a little slower. . but it delivers more of a wallop.. I've got the same model with the composite stock.. I like it a lot.. Thank you for taking the time with this review..
I just bought one, waiting for it to come UPS. Looks solid, nice wood. I may replace the scope with a 40mm scope, wait and see how the scope is. The weight at just over 9lbs is normal for a springer of this size. Acually, a heavier gun improves your hold when shooting standing up.
Awesome man. I'm happy to hear that. YEAH it is. I STILL love mine. It's just keeps getting better the more I use it just about everyday and have shot probably 5000 pellets through it by now. Let me know what you think of yours when you get it! Share some videos of it too. Thanks for commenting.
It's holding up pretty well. It has had a few quirks but the gun itself has been great! The screw in the trigger assembly keeps getting loose after a few dozen shots, but that's nothing some locktite can't take care of. The stock scope crapped out on me (But that was almost to be expected given that it came with the gun) and I replaced the stock scope rings with some nice solid ones. I have an old video where I tried to shoot through a license plate, it didn't work the, BUT it does now! Iloveit!
I own several RWS rifles namely a Mod. 34, 48 and 350 Magnum, also a Crosman Quest, but nothing shoots like my Hatsan Mod. 135 .22 caliber. A real beast. Hatsan is honest about velocity with regular lead pellets unlike other makers who claim hyper velocities using light alloy pellets. By the way, a very good review of a real man's airgun.
Great video buddy, really liked it. I have mod 95 in the post coming my way (London, UK)from Aceros de Hispania, Spain. Best price I could find in Europe. Heard nothing but good things about this rifle too. Had to decide between the Cometa 400 and this. Hatsan won it due to value for money. Stay blessed and keep up the good work.
I love my Hatsan 95/22 but after buying my son the Hatsan Edge Vortex 22 and firing it, I must admit the Vortex system rocks. If I had to do it again I'd pay the extra $20 for the Vortex. BTW, this video played a major motivator in my decision to buy the 95.
Hey bud nice review! I bought and sold a Hatsan 125 in 25 cal. Wish I still had it… Your review has me seriously looking at the 95-maybe in a 22 or 177… Since I do have a Benjamin Trail in 25 cal but it is more expensive… The 95 is a little smaller and easier to handle than the 125… I do also have a Hatsan 135 in 30 cal… not real practical but just fun to lob a 50 grain across the back yard… and your point about the Hatsan stock is spot on! Just amazing how pretty the walnut stock is on Hatsan! All the best…
Thanks for this video. I am looking for a pellet gun for my nephew and I have not bought one of these in years. (Since I was a kid.) Your review has really helped me make up my mind, this is the gun I will buy for Zack.
I like the Stoeger X20 Supressor. Very accurate, great design and look/feel, amazing suppressor (game down range are much less likely to notice), great price.
Hey! I got mine in .22 because I wanted more accuracy and power. The .177 is good for speed and penetration, but the 22. is good for flying straighter longer and doing more damage when hitting. Hope that helps!
Verry good review!! 👍🏻 I am 42 Ex Dutch Armoured Infanrie Officier and you give a exelend indept revieuw. I own the Hatsan 125 Sniper .25 cal and two Weichrauch HW 97 KT's. In .22 cal. You are right for thus price it a verry good Turkish airgun!! Keep it up. For your age your tevieuw is realy Professional!!
What I see with a lot of people that squeeze the trigger on guns is that about 50% of the guns they shoot (at least airguns) they complain about the trigger. I have shot a lot of guns, and I don't squeeze the trigger, I just works better for me. Maybe once and a while if I'm sighting in a scope I'll squeeze it, but most the time I won't. And when I pull the triggers, I'm able to hit grouse in their heads out of trees. Just thought I'd say that lol, nothing against people who squeeze triggers. Good review. I wanna buy the Browning Leverage air rifle.
TY from Canada for a great review! You are right on the mark with everything you have said. Hatsan makes the best gun for the money out there. They are known for their shotguns! Try the new Hatsun Sniper Combo 125 in 25 cal. This gun is shooting a gas ram drive, but is accurate at 95 yards +. That is PCP area for around $250.00! Great job and TY!
Isn't it strange. I have a Crossman 760 pumpmaster. Shit rifle right? Well, I got it when I was 12, now I'm old. I purchased a Crossman 760 pumpmaster a couple of years ago and it was shit. The plastic was shitty, the front sight was a sleeve, it wasn't accurate at all. I ended up taking it back. My 760 pumpmaster was super accurate, I got it out, it is scoped with a Redfield scope, it is very accurate, the front sight is metal and part of the barrel which is blue steel. The plastic is different, it is solid, heavy, smooth, shiny, like what you would see on a football helmet, it still shoots same hole at 50ft, scope still zeroed, still holds air and pumps just fine. The funny part was, I could have sworn that it had a rifled barrel. And so I look online and it says, "smooth bore" and I'm like, Ohhh no wonder it was so inaccurate!! So I looked in my barrel with a small light, and guess what? My 760 pumpmaster has a rifled barrel too. So basically, when I was twelve I grew up with something that was quality, probably made with superior steel, and made here in the U.S. most likely. Now, if a dad isn't careful and he just goes and buys the kid the same thing that he had? The kid get shit, and probably won't be interested in it since it will never hit the in the same place twice.
ung427 I hate this effect! Like how something that used to made to a more than adequate standard with extra material or extra strength or highly finished will now be made only JUST strong enough with NO extra material or absoloutely no better than the level of finish deemed acceptable (inevitably marketed as 'New, Improved!') I guess this kind of thing is a natural progression and ultimately happens because of economics and human nature (money and greed). After watching No Country for Old Men I call this effect 'The Dismal Tide'...
Excellent review. I have a new crosman f4 wallmart exclusive rifle..only 83 bucks plus tax. It does shoot over 1000 fps.. I wish I had iron sights but it's really good for the price point..cheers bro..
Good Vid Mann,,I got the mod95 in .25 cal and I agree with everything you say, I also got a 1000 X in walnut too in .22 ,,the stock on that was not as pretty as the Mod 95 but still nicer than any of the crossmans and beemans or any in that price range really ,,the 1000 has the power and accuracy too (so far ) and is only 6.4 lbs ,nice and light ,,had trouble with one of the scopes tho,you did a great job with the vid too,, Thanks
I like it. It may be my 2nd gun. I have a .22 Ben and it uses good steel, but it only has regular wood, strong but not good looking. Mine was a reverb at 140. I like getting a good one that's new. Nice video, thanks!
People shouldn't worry about fps they use to suck you in. Generally, lower velocity=increased accuracy. Not as much jumping around, and once it reaches the sound barrier, it begins to wobble.
Gentlemen, I found quality comes and goes with many companies and guns. That's what makes life interesting. Bench your gun for accuracy and if you like it and it works for you that's great! I've got a little Gamo that spits them out .177's at around 600 fps. It puts them all in the same hole at 10 meters and my friend uses it for squirrels. I paid somewhere around $80 for the gun 10 years ago. How can you argue with that? Thanks for the input on Hatsan.
The .22 RWS 34 Rick got was a lemon. All companies will have those. However, it does come with a Lifetime Warranty. I have both guns in .22 but I have the Vortex Model 95. These guns are equally powered and accurate at hunting distances of 20-25 yards. However, the Vortex 95 is an amazingly smooth shooter with very little recoil but I personally like the T06 trigger better on the RWS. No matter what gun you choose you can't go wrong. Hints me choosing both! These are my only 2 pellet guns I own. I couldn't decide which one I wanted so my wife and I just got them both at the same time. My wife bought the Hatsan while I bought the RWS. One of the best decision we ever made!
I know RWS makes an exceptionally quality rifle and there is no denying that, however in terms of their pricing however though, you pay a whole lot more for not that much more in buying a RWS compared to a competitor like Hatsan with its impressive features and pricing. I agree that the trigger on the Model 95 is stiffer and heavier than I would like it to be and cannot be made lighter without modification... But to me it isn't a deal breaker considering the value of the rifle. Thanks!
Well I would say that the 95 is going to be a bit more powerful and an even better value considering the Vortex version. However, the trigger on the RWS blows the 95 away. The accuracy improvement is very noticeable when you through in a good trigger. Yes, with RWS you pay about $100 more but you also get a lifetime warranty somthning no other brand can match.
RECAP ON COMMENT BELOW--- well the ruger targis 1200 pellet gun that I talked about below I mention how loud it is, well Ive shot it 20-30 times now and its quieted down considerably, also the scope it came with is a 4x32 ruger scope.... I was shotting with the hollow points and it shatters plywood to pieces, but the hollow points aren't quite as accurate as the crosman super match pellets, I saw a guy here on youtube talking about he goes to(pellet gun) tourneys all over the U.S and said he thought the best pellets were the crosman super match pellet for accuracy, well, he is right, those pellets are dead on with my ruger targis.... any way my fellow pelletiers, keep on keepin on....
this vid convinced me to try one. I was anxious to get one so purchased from the first outlet I could find. I regretted that. I think they sent me a factory reject. the hatsan repair depot sent me a new rifle. now I love it
Great video...popped up in my feed from RU-vid....LOL! Hope you're still doing well! Still shooting air rifles? Seems the way to go with all the ammo prices crazy now...and it's just great fun!!
Nice. Still shooting, I've gotten into PCP's now. Still love my hatsan, but after thousands of shots, it needs some servicing. I got the Air venturi Avenger and blown away at the amazing performance. It's the next best pellet gun under $350. I have a cash of .22 pellets Ive been able to accumulate thankfully. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks! Yes I agree. That was one of the main reasons I got it in 22. It's been a great purchase. I would love to try the new air piston Vortex version however.
believe it area of impact is very important. A .22 is just as accurate as .177 with much more impact. Just because you can do something doesnt mean you should.
I have a Hatsan Flash Pup in .25 cal . Fine gun . I was told Hatsan is Turkish ? And besides, Even if it was / is Chinese , China has gone the evolution of an industrial country since the 80s. For instance, Japan made JUNK in the l late 50s - 60s. By 1978 they were making the most reliable cars on the planet ! So China is able / willing to make good shit by now for Sure in 2020 !
After seeing your vid..I did some searching..I found the Hatsan 95 Vortex .22 for $161 Total..Shipped to my door..I just got it yesterday..I love everything about it..Thanks for turning me onto this awesome airgun
your right I have used hatsan rifles for long range shooting for about 5 years now ' as far as I am concerned hatsan makes the best gun's on the market I have the hatsan 125 th I use it for competition shooting out to 150 yards latter im going to try 200 yards
Cool! I haven't tried out the 1000x yet, but it sounds decent. Thank you, and thanks for the subscription! If you make any videos of your 25 cal model 95 be sure and link them here so I can watch them. Thanks!
Nitro trigger easy upgrade using RC bearing cost @ $1.50. Video here on You Tube. This is still a break barrel springer. Let's see how well it holds up in a year from now when the spring is "broken in". Nitro piston eliminates that altogether. The Nitro has a better scope as well. Finally, you don't have to have the dusk polymer stock but wood is subject to temperature and humidity. After shooting both I'll take the Nitro.
nice video may help me choose a nice pellet.. my first im ever going to get. ive shot a composite barrel brake one but im actually going to try and own a quality pellet gun for shooting targets wish me luck
yo woowoo Good luck finding a good gun. I have a ruger impact .22 it was only 150 at Wal-Mart. As long as you upgrade your scope, I'm sure you'll have great success. I got a range finder today and I was able to plink a can at 70 yards today, hoping to extend it to 100 to 150 tomorrow
Ignore the rubbish comments, this rifle is a springer that is long chambered, it gets the pellet out b4 the recoil and surge. Your review is for a cut price gun, in its range I agree with you, the "Hatson" range is good and underated. If people have more money they could get a custom made springer. I think for long term low priced guns you are correct. In the UK we are limited 2 12foot pound, so 177 4 point blank range.
After I got My 95 in .22 it shot terrible and I had to Loctite the scope and the stock. The stock mounts are totally off center and quality UTG mounts helped some but still obviously canting to one side which equals to off center at various ranges. I broke the aluminum piece when the stock mount column at the trigger backed out and the stock had to be removed to Loctite it. But the gun works fine without it I found out. It still shoot maybe 2 or 3 in groups at 25 yards with JSB 18.13 grain. Others brands I tried Like H&N FTT in 14.66 and Hatsan Supremes sucked with exception of maybe Crossman premier HP and all these look like quality pellets. I am not happy with mine. I lapped the barrel with Brownels bore paste and it helped a little. Beeman RS-2 Teton tests at .2 in CTC prior to leaving the factory at 10 meters and I would be tickled if I had that but I get 1, 1 1/4, sometimes more at 10 meters.
Hi mannie, im new to airguns and watched your show so now im hooked and i just ordered this rifle, my question to you is me being new to the sport could you recommend some good .22 pellets for me! Thanks Alan
Yea ok but when you need parts ? stick with a brand you can get replacement parts for . And if you shoot a springer you will need parts. 40% of all new air guns have bad piston seals or breech seals or bolth . You should see the way my 135 breaks mounting bolts and what a pain it is to get new ones . And they are an odd size so you have to go to hatsan . They are fine till they break and they will break !
The price of the airguns goes up only because of warranty! I've researched them at Cabellas in AZ and a $149. and has a one year warranty...it has a rating of 1300 fps...those over that price have less rating in fps but are warrantied for 2 years or more.
i just bought a hatsan mod 70 in .177 cal about one month ago. on open sights after zero it in. shoots amazing at 20 m plus. cant miss a coke lid on that range. excellent gun for the money. just love it. would like a decent scope though. eyes are going for a ball of shit.
Thanks ,,the model 95 is considerably better quality in materials and appointments and the 1000x wasn't much cheaper only 20 bucks but the 1000x performs almost as well and is MUCH lighter,, which is good for me for hunting and field carrying,,yea ..your vids are well done so keep up the good work !
Never own a pellet rifle other than a Crossman pump, at least I think that was what it was. After seeing your review first, I checked out this rifle and ordered one in 22 cal for a little under 150 dollars including the shipping. I got it mainly for my 12 year old to learn with. I am worried it might be too heavy, but if it is, I will order something lighter. I hope to get it by the end of the week.
I got a ruger targis 1200 pellet rifle that packs a wallop, I have only shot crosman hollow points thru it and it destroys my plywood backboard..... it comes with a 4x20 scope....and I only paid $90.00 for it from walmart, but it was a clearance sale... and one more thing, they say its quiet, it sounds like a 30-06 with a silencer ......
Mannievh is absolutely correct! Hatsan's are awesome airguns. Do NOT buy the Gamo & Crosman (Titan Nitro comes to mind) crap at Wally World and Dicks. They are total junk. I use one simple rule (myself) as to why Hatsan is the best hands-down medium priced air rifle. This being that every other maker lists the FPS 20-30% over what the airgun actually shoots. These misleading suppliers use super light synthetic pellets to get these numbers (if they can reach them at all) With Hatsan, the FPS on the box is usually listed BELOW what it can actually do! With heavy lead pellets...truth in advertising is good enough fo me...enough said. BTW, I own airguns that cost 6-7 X's the cost of this airgun and I believe the Hatsan is incredible,
I have hatsan 95 an it's a great rifle takes out fox racoons an smaller game did have to put a new scope it but other than it great you can also get sling bipod
Hatsan is the way to go. I used to buy Crosman, no more. Crosman is over priced and under powered at their costs. I bought a few refurbished Hatsan break barrels and they’re literally like new. Accurate, powerful and a pleasure to shoot.
