Certainly a pleasure listening and watching your presentation. Factual plus you ought to be able to write your recipes with accuracy, which most Jamaican tubers can't do. Thank you, great job once again. 🤣🤣🤣💯💯💯🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Thanks for this. So informative. You have a great way of presenting your videos. 2 question. 1. Is there another name for red peas? 2. Can you do jerk chicken on an indoor grill? Thanks for everything 🇬🇧🙋🏾♀️💝
8/28/2024 - 1:13 Thank you so much for this video. You gave the measurements of liquid to rice and explain it so good. Thank you. I hope my rice and peas will come out perfectly now. Thank you. I am a new subscriber and will check out more on your channel. Thank you and have a blessed day or night.
I am Canadian but have a lot of Jamaican friends and I already know how to make this but I'm just looking to see if I can learn anything new and to be honest I just love your accent😊😊😊😊 blessings from Toronto and Happy Valentine's Day
We grow and dry beans at home. I use our Instapot pressure cooker on 60-90 minutes (depending on the size of beans) No presoaking needed . Flavorings are the same however sometimes I also add a little beef or chicken stock to enhance the flavor.
Fantastic detailed breakdown. I'm vegetarian so I'm going to look at adapting your chicken video with vegetables. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
aw man i remember when u were at 5k subs - 30k? lets go 100k by end of this year! also looks delicious as always will probably make some rice and peas this weekend - only scotch bonnets are somewhat hard to get in germany and gardening season has not started
This is reminding me so much of my father's kitchen back when I was growing up. My parents are Haitian, but Haitian and Jamaican cooking is very similar, and I loved eating coconut rice and beans, as we called it. As an adult, I still make it to this day, just a little bit differently than yours, but still very close. Your version looks fantastic: definitely going to have to try it out.
Thanks for another great video. The rice and peas looks so delicious. I could definitely eat a bowl without any meat 🍖. I'm going to try adding some ginger next time i make my rice and peas 😋. Blessings and more blessings to you and your family. One love 💙 ❤️ 🇯🇲 💯.
I think my each my family make the best rice and peas but only god can get them to explain it step by step. Very Well explained. Now do some authentic brown stew chicken.
This recipe is so good and easy to follow, thank you again my man. Made the rice and peas with some jerk salmon, to use up the rest of the marinade, and added some roasted brussels sprouts lightly drizzled with the jerk bbq sauce(still gotta learn some Jamaican veggie dishes) It made such a tasty and satisfying dinner. Having your recipes to follow has definitely made me feel more confident exploring Jamaican cuisine. Even managed to find scotch bonnets up in the Arctic! Such a fruity and tasty pepper; habaneros really don’t do justice, scotchies are something else. So thank you again for all of this, can’t wait to explore more.
Ahhh man that looks good! I spent a lot of time in Central America (Belize and Guatemala) and got addicted to stew beans and rice. It's pretty much the same thing but different spices. I can't wait to try your recipe!
7:05 You're pouring gold down the sink 😅That starch water is great to give to plants or to wash hair to make it grow faster. Will be trying your recipe soon.
