Jackson, wyoming is one of the richest and most expensive place in the united states, however this is a very small town with very little population driven by tourism. Subscribe: @Broadvay Music by: share.epidemic...
Your answer should have begun with that Jackson Hole is quite simply the most beautiful place in North America because of how abruptly the stunning Tetons rise out of the flat valley.
Very true, but interestingly you can't actually see the Grand Teton from the town of Jackson. In a way that adds to the magic because the Grand Teton is close but you have to go a little out of your way to see it.
I can’t stand what jackson has become. Everything about it (except the views) is aweful. If I had a billion dollars it’s one of the last places on earth I’d choose to live.
Even if I had the money, I would be very careful about where I bought. It is not a matter of if, but when, US 191 becomes either I-17 or I-19, so some land will, at some point in the future, fall to eminent domain, so be careful where you buy,
The question is why did Jackson get attention from billionaires? I'll tell you why. It is due to the Chicago Fed's annual meeting in Jackson Hole. I don't think the video creator was aware of this.
Jackson Hole is like Vancouver, B.C., it can not grow, which makes it perfect for affordable people. I'm not jelous because they deserve it. I admire succesful people. I do not have poor mentality.
Now This is happening everywhere in the entire world. Here in Pakistan 🇵🇰 the northern part is stunningly beautiful and because of rich people rents go as high as possible in summers.
I grew up there late 60s early 70s. Sno King was right out my front window. The Elk refuge was out the back door and across the road. My first job was at a little dude ranch called the trading post. I was 8. I took tourist up in the mountains and had a blast. And got paid $1 for one hour ride$2 for two hours. $5 for the chuck wagon steak ride every Friday all summer. The guy that owned it looked like Hoss Cartwright from bonanza. Huge dude. And fished cutthroat creek every chance we had. Then it really was a paradise. Hardly anyone. Just a small tourist town. Then the news followed Jimmy Carter there for a winter vacation. And then the rest of America discovered Jackson Hole. My childhood paradise. A place I still dream of. Peace.
There are half a dozen mountain towns in Colorado I would consider before Jackson Hole…Aspen, Vail, Breckenridge, Telluride…….not sure these are any more crowded anymore.
Well doctors have gone MIA for the past 6 months suspect that's where they are at their summer home. For some reason their secretaries all want to make appts avail on Sept 4 if they come back at all. Nah they can just stay there well go to the closest metro and see doctors and NPs who want to work.
What is it with you kind of people that HATE someone that has money. It's probably because you don't have the education or skills to make anything more than minimum wages at a fast food joint so you HATE anyone that makes more than you do eh? (they get to buy more stuff than I can.....)
@@alicegay4286 BOO HOO!!....I HATE anyone that has a lot of money! They get to buy stuff and I can only work at Burger King....BOO HOO, BOO HOO!! GOOD GAWD!!
@turdbgir: "traffic is awful..." Indeed, nice place to visit but that's all. I was there about 20 years ago. I loved the ambiance of the people living there, but felt very sorry for their economic situation. Not much else than service jobs.
I live in Teton County. Great place if you like winter. The wealthy want to live here because Wyoming has no State income tax, is tax friendly in general, and there is a lack of "diversity", and the consequent crime and social strife. I live on 20 remote acres up against the Idaho border in that western sliver of private land at 3:40.
What? Ive been there. Its full of locals who live in campers, rvs, and shacks. Everyone i met said they were barely making it the sept before covid hit. 2019 I think.
It’s cause recently a bunch of billionaires moved in due to tax advantages so there’s a huge amount of very sudden wealth now. Bunch of golf courses and mega mansions now.
If you're looking for "peaceful connection with nature", and lower population, Jackson isn't the place, at least during the warmer months. Sure, if you're wealthy and own a ranch/home up on a secluded hill in the area, it's nice. During the summer months, however, Jackson is so crowded with visitors travelling two/from 2 major national parks... You can barely drive through town. There's one main road through town, and one road north, and you're sharing it with millions of travelers. Another consideration: Jackson is an economic "bubble": everything costs more, and any type of vocational service is difficult to get, because when the place thaws out from winter, everybody needs services at the same time. (We work in the area during the summer months, and have for the last 7 years.) A one bedroom apt without laundry hookups, is over $1200 dollars a month or more.
If they made everyone with a billion dollar net worth build an affordable housing apartment building when they build their mansion cabins, then it would be a win-win for everyone. Normal people get to live a decent life, and these billionaires get to come to a town 2 weekends a year and have their slaves, I mean workers, already there to cook their food and carry their skis around.
