That is why I drove 2,000. miles from Kewanee, IL, to San Diego last year because Canceled flights seem to be the Norm. Stay Beautiful, informative and safe.

Yikes! Quite an ordeal. 😮 My airline story- I was flying to Hawaii and right as we were on the tarmac ready to take off, the captain said there will be a delay. 😳 He turned the plane and we actually went into a hangar for a mechanic to fix something. We were all in the plane as it repaired for over an hour. That didn’t give me a good feeling to be taking off and flying over the ocean!

nyc used to be a good place to visit but not anymore..stay safe while your there 🙏..aunt annies pretzels are soooo good..makes me wanna go on a road trip to get some..oh i wish i knew u werw coming to ny, i would of loved to meet u..maybe next time

Sounds like you had multiple problems with your travel. I live in a small college town and fly into Dallas (DFW). Its not unusual to have weather related issues getting in there and they will divert to Austin and wait it out to continue the flight. Our flights are full and they will ask people to check their luggage. The only hiccup I have experienced is that my boarding pass wouldn’t scan off my phone and the gate agent had to look me up. Next time I think I will do paper. It’s good to hear that you landed safely and their crew was accommodating. Safe travels!! Enjoy your stay in The Big Apple:)

Wow, you went through it. But yeah, Las Vegas airport has always been notorious for really long walks from one gate to another. That's why they put in those moving sidewalks. Another airport you don't want to go through is Detroit. My gosh, you'd need a personal trainer for that one. Whenever I'm flying, 1st thing I do is find my next gate because you never know how far away they are. I had a 45-minute layover in Detroit. Never been thru there. It took me 45 minutes to get to my gate and they were already boarding by the time I got there! Moving sidewalks, a freaking tunnel, up stairways, down elevators and no, I never got lost!! It was insane. Whoever designed this airport must've worked at Pelotron. It was a rat in a maze experiment to be sure. The only thing that was cool about it was the light show in the freaking tunnel riding the moving sidewalks. If you want to be gasping for air & sweating to death for your next flight, go through Detroit & drop a few pounds along the way. 😅😂🤣

No more perfect flights.... it's either cancel, delay or you miss it. I have experienced similar to yours many times. The reason that I prefer driving instead ! Hope you enjoy NY with those cute doggies!

Had a layover in Dallas...southwest accommodated a hotel, transportation and food I was on my way from Chicago to Albuquerque. My layover was not bad. Good job with the patience Great video! kept me entertained

If I recall, in 2006, I believe, Flight FR9884, operated by Eirjet on behalf of Ryanair, landed safely at Ballykelly airport instead of City of Derry airport (due to visual similarities!). Life is never dull.

I'm so sorry!!! My under age daughter was actually stuck in New York trying to get back to the west coast when you were trying to get there!! United airlines did not compensate anything either!!!! Im so happy they feed your plane lol. Took my daughter an extra 5 days to get home!!!! Lesson learned!!! No flying lol

January 2022, we were flying direct from Pittsburgh to Fort Myers. We left early to stop for a late breakfast and get texts from our airlines that our flight was cancelled and rescheduled for the next day flying into Orlando. Dash to the airport to see what we can do. Ended up getting a later flight flying into Tampa with a layover in St Louis. That was the best they could offer us!! We get to St Louis, and our flight keeps getting pushed back, because they didn't have a crew available. We had to wait for a crew coming in from another flight! We eventually get to Tampa only to have to wait over an hour for our rental car. Then we had to drive an hour and a half to get to our Airbnb. Our original flight had us getting to Fort Myers on Friday at 3:00 pm. With the new flight, we got to our Airbnb at 2:30 am Saturday!!! My hubby called the airlines to tell them of the mess up, and they gave us free flights with no expiration date for our next trip!!!!

Yes, it was similar departing from Las Vegas all the way to Chicago. Nightmare! As a result of Southwest’s mishap each member in my family recieved a travel voucher for $300 dollars. I know many that get checks from the airlines crap. Please consider driving next time!

This is why I'm a van traveler. I HATE AIR TRAVEL!! I only fly when absolutely necessary and it's just awful. Part of it is me. I can't stand being confined like that. I convince myself I can handle it for the few hours I need to, to get through it, but then when there's a delay like that? Oh hell no! I cannot take it. I would have freaked the F out!! The airlines need to get their s*it together.

Was this June 25-26 by chance? If so I also was trying to fly to New York (La Guardia) and was 8 hours late because of a ground stop. Then they cancelled my flight back the next day and then I got stuck another day in NY and was 10 hours late on my rebooked flight. So you weren’t the only one!

On my research channels there has been discussions about restrictions in travel. In case u haven’t read on internet our whole lives as we know it is changing. They’re doing it incrementally right now but big changes are coming. Wait till the 15 minute cities start getting implemented .,

Thank goodness there was an alternate crew available when the 1st one timed out. Since it was due to weather, you would’ve had to pay for your own hotel…or sleep at the airport. It sounded cray enough as it was. 😅 Glad you finally got there.

Ugh. UGH. Good food? Primanti’s in PGH is WORLD CLASS. Never had THIS happen. Was fogged into Detroit and had to Greyhound to Milwaukee. Auntie Anne’s is awesome. The kid approves. That 150 year wait…ugh. Next time you get stuck in PGH, call us. We can pick you up. We might have gotten you to NYC faster.

@@travelsnacks thats awsome just ordered one now I have to find a way to stay cool 😎 in jersey heat and its been pretty hot hot hot 🔥 Canada 🇨🇦 wildfire smoke gave central jersey 3 gray sky days and coughing came along with the smoke so you could just imagine how bad it was looked like Armageddon
